ConnectOne Security

Had an existing alarm system already installed in my house. I used ConnectOne for monitoring. Their service was fine...nothing great or bad about it. It was on the expensive side though - $45/month is considerably more than competitors. The worst part was that after my 3 year initial contract expired, they renewed the contract annually...unbeknownst to me. So when I moved, I was on the hook for another 6 months of service until the contract expired. Extremely poor way to treat a customer. They were unwilling to discuss the contract and actually tried to blame their payment service. Extremely poor customer service regarding this matter. I would not recommend this company at all. Stay away and look for one of the many many better options for home security.

They're fine. There's nothing particularly good or bad about them. It costs $39.99 monthly. I have a three year contract with them. It has been going good. Everybody so far has been pretty good and pretty respectful. I haven't had any issues.

The provider did a great job, very knowledgable, efficient and great price.  ADT also came out but were higher, less informed personnel and poor management.

Our home has a DSC security system that was installed by Ranger American when the home was built some 13 years ago. We are the second owner. The system has never been used by us or the original owners and was in need of repair and start up. We contacted Connect One the company who has taken over Ranger American to send a service technician to repair the existing system and get it working again. We schedule an appointment. The day of the appointment we were contacted by email that technician could come that day and the appointment was rescheduled for two days later. Unfortunately the paperwork was not correct and the technician came on the original schedule day and time, but we were not home. On the rescheduled day the technician called and asked if he could come early because he had a cancellation and was available. He came and quickly repaired and got our system operating again. The Technician, a Mr. Mastroianni, was very profession, courteous and patience.

The tv install went long on time but was performed correctly. The camera installs went fine and the system is controlled by the Control 4 system. The cameras are available for viewing with an iphone/ipad application. The next week the power went out and the router went down. When everything came back up, the cameras did not. Connect one sent someone by to look at the system and brought them back online. The same thing happened again three weeks later, and they did send someone by to fix it again, but the phone application does not see the cameras so they are basically useless. This has been going on for 2 1/2 months, meanwhile they want me to pay for the service in full.
I am going to tell them to come and retrieve their equipment as they just do not seem to know what they are doing.
I strongly recommend finding another alarm, security provider.
PS my closet with all of the wiring was left in a complete mess.

ButI have been trying for WEEKS to get some information regarding adding cameras to my system. I cannot get anyone to call me back after repeated calls. In the mean time my car was broken into in my driveway. Will have to use this service because I signed a contract but would not recommend and will change as soon as possible.

Sales rep was on time and very knowledgeable about security systems and provided an estimate that met my needs - both from a security standpoint, and cost standpoint. My house had been recently burglarized and I was anxious to get a system installed. She did not try to sell me all the bells and whistles but offered reasonable suggestions that would secure my home and be economical. Installation was scheduled within a week. My only complaint was with the installer - he did not seem interested in doing all the work that needed to be done without me pushing him and was not as professional as I would have expected. He left some of his equipment behind and never called to collect it.
But, the system works as promised and gives me the sense of security I was looking for in a monitored alarm system.

Met with sales person who went over everything in detail. Worked around my schedule and did a quick and efficient job.

I liked their customer service. I did not like that it would be a 2 year contract. They would need more high tech to improve.

Sales and install went smoothly.

Sales person was prompt and quick to come out. Told sales person to charge 1/2 of total amount due on date of sale and the balance upon istallation completion. Charged total amount before installtion.Installation could not be completed until the next day due to missing parts for the new equipment. Cameras were not hooked up to record upon installation. Called to reschedule someone else out and have not heard back as of yet. I have emailed the salesperson to see if he can get this service completed.UPDATE; Camera's were actually hooked up, it was my error in using the equipment incorrectly. They had a service man come out at 7:30 at night to look at it. Salesperson was concerned about the work not being completed but it again it was user error. All in all everything considered the company stood behind their product. Was resolved in less than a week

REALLY BAD SO FAR. TWO DAYS ASKING FOR TIME OFF WAITING FOR A PERSON TO INSTAL THE ALARM WHO DID NOT SHOW UP. THEN THE PERSON WHO INSTALLED THE ALARM, LEFT ME WITH A FALSE ALARM AND THE POLICE COMING TO MY PLACE.
