About us

We offer service, repair, relocation & storage of most types & makes of antique & modern clocks including on-site (in-home service) of floor clocks & very large wall clocks (grandfather clocks & jewelers regulators). We see clients by appointment so that we can give the utmost attention to estimating the cost of services while you wait (I am the one who will inspect your clock for estimate & perform the repairs). We do all mechanism service & repair on premises & only outsource major cabinet refinishing to a highly qualified & trusted re-finisher that we have worked with for over 16 years. Please feel free to call with any questions, we welcome your inquiries concerning our services. Our business has been built from the ground up by "word of mouth" from our satisfied clients. WE DO NOT ADVERTISE. Our growing list of satisfied customers & their referrals has kept us more than busy for over 3 decades & we believe is testament to our hard earned reputation. While other shops have closed over the last decade or so for a variety of reasons, our services have never been in more demand & in fact, we have recently doubled our working shop space to 3000 sq ft to accommodate the increased demand for service & storage of floor clocks (grandfather clocks). Please, all we ask is that you call prior to coming out. We are for the most part, a one man operation so when I am called out on service calls (2 days out of the 5 day work week) the shop will be closed. I update our answering service daily so you will know when I am out on calls. If you do get the answering service, please leave a message, I may be busy with a client & will do my best to return your call ASAP. I am always available on Mondays & usually know our schedule for the week by Monday afternoon.

Description of Work: Grandfather clock moved from Albaquerque to League City in U-Haul was packed by inexperienced movers and was a total mess upon arrival. Found Clock Country on Angie's list and he did an awesome job putting clock back in shape. Picked up and delivered. Highly recommend. |

Description of Work: Inspected a vintage specialty clock that I purchased and told me that he didn't know if it could be restored but he would be willing to try if I liked. I was very happy with him and his professionalism and would certainly use him in the future if I decide to have him try and fix it or other clocks that we own.

Thanks for the kind words. As we discussed, clocks that fall into the "novelty" category are not typically built by companies with future "repair" in mind but are made to fit a certain niche & sales price range. These type of clocks also tend to cost more than what they are worth to repair. As always, we would rather the customer be fully informed as to the value of a clock of this type before proceeding with costly repairs.

Description of Work: Steve really knows all about clocks. His knowledge is amazing. He gave us so much information. His price to clean our clock was very reasonable, and we have two other clocks that he will be working on when he finishes the first one. Thanks for the positive review. Just to be clear on this site & to set the record straight, we do not "clean" any mechanisms "on site". What we actually performed for you was an "Oil & Adjust" which does include gently removing dust & debris from around the clock mechanism so as to not contaminate the fresh oil that was applied. In your instance, the clock mechanism was not in need of cleaning. Thanks again for trusting us with your clock service needs!
