Cabinets Your Way

As you can see, it did not go well. We have been in business and managed businesses for over 40 years. The type of treatment we received from management smacks with outfits doing business on a shoe-string. If we can help anyone avoid what we went threw, then Angie's list would have served its purpose for being.

It was as smooth as I guess it could have gone. I was not prepared for the amount of concrete dust that would eventually cover everything in my home, but my lack of preparation was not bc of CYW. They sales professional was always on time, and I appreciated that. The cost of the agreement wasn't the lowest bid we received, but we felt confident in the luxury of not having to micromanage multiple crews of sub contractors. There was an initial delay of about two weeks for the cabinets ... but they are at the mercy of the manufacturers that they pull from so I wont hold it against them. We pulled the cabinets out to find some mold on the sheetrock. I was impressed that there was no additional charge for the required sheetrock work that needed to be done before the new cabinets went in. It has been my experience in the past -- that post-bid-increases were always a factor...not in this case. The cabinets took about 6 days and the quartz countertops were done in two. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new island!! It was about a 2 and a half week process and the plumbing was over charged. We paid 750 dollars for new cut off valves and to connect the sink, faucet dish washer and garbage disposal and it literally took the guy an hour. I THINK I SHOULDVE BEEN A PLUMBER!! OVER ALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

We have seen a revolving door of salesmen and designers who have quit. We caught their manager in lies upon lies. All the subs complained to us that they weren't being paid. We spent days waiting for subs to appear as promised--and no one at the company answered our calls or texts to explain why the subs failed to show up. We met no one on their team who is a general contractor or who knows anything about remodeling. No one supervised the scheduling or the work. I ended up keeping lists of mistakes made and ordering the schedules for their subs or we still would have a ripped apart kitchen. Their representatives lied or mis-represented every aspect of the job and the subs often did sub-standard work that we have had to pay to have redone. On a positive note, their former designer was very talented and we are very happy with the final look and style of our kitchen. But their deceptions and incompetence left us feeling angry and victimized for several months.

Terrible. Their design part of the process was excellent, however, our designer did a great job. The company recommended the cabinet manufacturer of Brandom, which they claimed is a competitor of Craftmade. We looked at the samples and it seemed decent so we placed an order with them. It took 3 weeks to get the order processed through their system and they said it would be delivered on June 21st. Some of the cabinets were delivered on this date, but some were missing pieces and the order was messed up. The cabinet people were blaming the manufacturer for the issues. It is now the middle of September and it is still not done even though the first of the cabinets arrived in June.
