Burden's Vacuum Cleaner Co

The owners are very capable and friendly as is their lead repair person.  The great their customers promptly and conduct business in a very professional manner; they demonstrate that the product is working before charging for the service.  This company sells new products; however, I have used only their repair services, multiple times.  They are a pleasure to work with and even though they are located a bit far from my home, I'm happy to drive the extra distance to receive their great service!

Called and made appointment. Took in and they changed the filters while I waited. Have used this vendor before and they have always done a great job. Quick, easy service.

Very poorly. He just kept getting nastier as I tried to return the product I bought from him.

The work was done in a reasonable amount of time. I like that they are real people. They do not try to sell me things. They are competent.

I had 2 old vacuum cleaners that ran but got a burning smell after using for a few minutes. I hoped they just needed new belts, cleaning, something simple but I could not repair them myself. But I wasn't sure they were worth the upfront service charge plus labor, parts, etc, most places want. I finally found Burden's on Angie's List. They were so nice on the phone. I took my 20 year old Oreck upright in first and walked out 15 minutes later with a working vacuum cleaner for $10.00. It needed cleaning and a new bag. I went back 2 weeks later with my 35 year old Hoover Concept One upright and left again 15 minutes later with a working vacuum cleaner for around $8.00 or $9.00 (it needed cleaning and a new belt..
These were very quick simple repairs, I know all fixes won't be that cheap! But Burden's didn't charge me some $25 or $50 or even $69 service fee just to look at the vacuum cleaners. They fixed them right then on the spot, charged me a wonderfully low amount and didn't try to sell me anything. And they are so nice!
I wish I had found them sooner. I would recommend Burden's to anyone and everyone needing anything vacuum cleaner related. (they also sell vacuum cleaners)

It was good. I took my vacuum cleaner to the shop without a prior appointment. They fixed it right away and I was on my way in an hour or so.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Repair was done properly, though not not done fast.

The service was prompt and the vacuums were fixed- one is a carpet cleaner and all were different brands so I feel good about giving them high marks.

I went to Burden's to have my vacuum cleaner cleaned and repaired. It was in good working condition, but had dog smell (previously had dogs) and needed a and quot;tune up.and quot; I was well attended at their shop, got a quote right on the spot and decided to leave the VC with them for clean repair.
The job was done on time as promised and although they were unable to fully remove the smell, the machine was markedly improved. They also replaced the belts and filters. Good job overall, although not 100% what I wanted. I was told that the technician tried several methods to remove the smell. I was sold some crystals to add to VC when using to add a pleasant odor and that could have been complimentary, but that is a minor complaint.
Overall, the job was done well and on time and I would use Burden's again.

I had tried to fix the vacuum but could not get the brush to rotate. I took it in parts to Burdens and they were able to remover the bearing cap, remove the melted monofilament and button the machine back up while I waited. I have used them for years but have not been there in several years. They are a great company who works hard to please the customers. I was shocked at how little they charged me and left a happy customer with my vacuum in hand.

The switch was fixed promptly at a reasonable price, but the bag was left inside the vacuum without being reconnected so it made a mess when we turned the vacuum on to use it the first time. Next time I will check, but I cannot understand why the bag would be left unattached inside the hard covers of the vacuum when returned to me.

Our cleaning lady had not told us of any damage to our vacuum. I was horrified to find the cord in shreds and immediately looked to Angie's List for a repair company. We took the vacuum to Burden's where we met Howard (the owner) and Ken. I wanted to know if our vacuum was even worth fixing because it is about 15 years old. They said that it was fixable, but were not sure if the cord would still wind up automatically. I really appreciated their candor and honesty. They could have easily sold us a new machine. They even lent us a vacuum to use while ours was being fixed. I am delighted with the work done. They were able to fix the cord and retractor like new and maintain the machine so that it will last for a while longer. I was very impressed with the loaner and will definitely buy my next vacuum from Burden's.

I dropped off my vacuum there. It was good to find somebody this good close to my home.

When I went in, I explained what I needed done. I thought I might need more than just a cleaning. They explained their policy, took a deposit and my info. I was promised that it would take it week and it did. They called when it was ready. When I went and picked it up, they proved that it worked great now and it even looks on the new side.

They were prompt and hilarious, joking like Click and Clack the entire time. We have an unusual model, and they were able to clean and fix it without any trouble. In addition, when I brought the vacuum back for a silly reason (I didn't know there was a overheating switch), they just made light of it and showed me what was wrong free of charge. They also introduced me to the microfiber cleaning cloths and showed me how to put a dryer sheet in my vacuum to make the house smell better and remove more pet hair. I was impressed!

The brand of the vacuum Nilfisk Hepa vacuum meaning it filters small particles. I've never seen such a good job. I would hire them again in the future.

THEY HAVE THE NICEST YOUNG MEN WHO WORK THERE. THEY ARE PROMPT AND DO VERY GOOD WORK. THE STORE IS VERY WELL KEPT, IT HAS A GOOD ATMOSPHERE AND IS VERY CLEAN. THEY ARE VERY HONEST PEOPLE TO WORK WITH.
