"Thanks Mrs [Member Name Removed]! We hope you are enjoying your new flooring!"
"Regarding the scheduling, when speaking with the customer, she did admit that she had talked to several companies and was confused about which company said what. We had told her we could send someone “the next day” which was Wednesday, and we did. What I am sorry about is that our salesman decided that he would send our top tile contractor and just let the customer pay him directly, leaving our company out of the mix. We don’t get any money for the work, and the customer saves money. Often on smaller repair jobs, we do allow this so that our installer makes a little more money, and since we make very little on repairs anyway, it is usually the best way to handle these things. Our salesman should have explained this to the customer, however, and he didn’t make that clear. The same contractor would have gone to do the work either way, whether she was paying us or paying him. Most of these contractors do not carry receipt books around because for the most part, they are doing work on jobs for us not directly for the customer. Normally your cancelled check is considered your receipt for work done. The confusion came as the customer wanted a receipt and a written warranty on her work which she did not mention requiring before the work was begun. Since we actually didn’t receive any proceeds on this work, the warranty should come from the installer contractor who did the work. Unfortunately, we couldn’t pull him off of another job to come back to the office to write up a warranty and receipt. The customer was not willing to wait, so we did write her a receipt and warranty guaranteeing our installer contractor’s work by us, even though we did not receive any money for the work done. We are a top rated Angie’s List company because we try to be honest and forthright with our customers and we stand behind the work of all of our installer contractors. This particular contractor has been working with our company for nearly 20 years, and is an excellent installer. What the customer failed to mention is that this tile repair had been done multiple times before by other companies and it continued to have cracking problems, and now her tile has been repaired correctly with an anti-fracture membrane."
"DiMaria Flooring has been in business for over 50 years. We take great pride in our customers satisfaction, should any issues arise we address them immediately. In response to [member name removed] report, DiMaria flooring was a vendor for his project at his home, he did not contract directly with DiMaira Flooring. [member name removed] contracted with Angel Builders 32188 River Park Dr.Magnolia, TX 77355 (whom is now out of business). We have been paid in full my [member name removed] as all the work has been completed."
We contacted Larry based upon a referral from friends. He came out the same week to inspect the home and give us an estimate. He thoroughly explained the challenges of tile removal and was honest about the amount of dust that would be generated in the process. He made recommendations on wood flooring and brought several samples to the house for our consideration. We verbally agreed to the work. Larry promptly prepared an estimate and we scheduled a date to begin the project. Due to other contractors falling behind on the home renovation we had to rescheduled several times. Larry was very patient with us regarding these changes. When we finally got started the Buffalo Flooring crew was fantastic, very experienced, friendly and courteous. The demolition of the tile took about a week. The crew cleaned up daily. The final result is beautiful.
