I decided to go with Brock's Collision because of positive reviews here on Angie's List. We dealt with Rick Hernandez, a super nice guy. He went out of his way to determine which way would be cheaper for me, repaint existing bumper or purchase a brand new bumper. He determined it was in my best interest to repaint existing bumper and gave me an estimate. I thought about it for a day or two, called him back to set up an appointment, dropped off the Fusion, and had it back in 3 days. Bumper looked good as new. Excellent work. And the final price was the same as the estimate, no hidden costs or surprises. I can trust Brock's and Rick Hernandez to do any future work I may need.
Description of Work: Repaint rear bumper on wife's 2010 Ford Fusion. After two different drivers tapped the bumper of the Fusion (two different incidents), the paint began to flake off. The bumper is flexible and was not damaged but over time, the paint flaked off and looked really bad.

Avoid this Shop !!!!!! Worst Experience ever with a body shop. To start, the receptionist Trisha is rude and has a horrible attitude. They act friendly at the beginning but once they received the money from the insurance company they lied about when the car would be ready and left my car damaged. I took my wife's car in for hail damage, it took them over two weeks to repair the damage, (told me it would only take 3 days). they start lying, making excuses that they where waiting on the insurance company, LIE ... I was talking to my adjuster and he never received paperwork from Trisha or rick on the first week. After Rick finally called me to tell me it was ready, I went to pick it up and come to find out it was not even close to being ready, I was asked by Rick to return four hours later. When I did, I found my car with the headliner loose, and a very visible hole in it, there was grease and hand prints all over the headliner and pillars( light grey color headliner), and the dome lights and reading lights did not work. I notified Rick the manager right away before I left the shop and he promised me he would fix everything and even put it in writing ( to make me feel more comfortable) so I left the shop , After chasing him down for two weeks because he never answered or returned my calls, I finally was able to make an appointment and took my car to get repaired as he had promised. left the car there , They took all day and did not even fix the problems. All they did was clean the pillars. they didn't fix the lights nor the hole. they not even tried. Bottom line: The work done on the car is poor quality , damage done by them is unacceptable. Rick ( the manager ) is not a honest person, even with a document signed by him , he will not honor it. HE LIE TO ME, HE WILL LIE TO YOU. they just want to take your money or your insurance money. If I could, I would rate this shop lower.

I've dealt with many body shops and I measure their service based on timeliness, quality of the work, communication, and price. Nearly every body shop fails the timeliness requirement and usually at least one other category. Brock's exceeded my expectations on all 4 and I would definitely use them again. The reason I went to Brock's was that somebody decided to run their key down the side of my new car. I still had paper tags on it so I wanted to make sure whoever I took it to would make it look like a new car again. I scanned Angie's list and the feedback was positive so I went by to visit. I wanted them to only paint what needed to be painted so it wouldn't fail the paint thickness test if I trade it in later. They were very thorough on telling me exactly what my options were, how long it would take, and the price. I handed over the keys on Tuesday evening and they said they would work to get it done on Friday. I would have bet money I wasn't picking it up before Monday based on past experience with other shops. I got a call on Thursday telling me everything was on track and it would be ready between 4-5 on Friday but possibly earlier. I got a call at 2:30 on Friday saying it was ready for pick up so no complaints on the timing or communication. The next test was the quality of the work and I was skeptical about whether I could tell. Even though I knew exactly where to look I couldn't see any signs that it was repainted. The last criteria is price and it was actually cheaper than I was quoted so again no issues. I worked hard to get that car and it's a good feeling to not have any evidence of that person trying to make a statement with my car. Great work!!

Though it took a little longer than we were originally told, the appearance of the completed work was excellent. The repaired area has no detectable differences from the original, even including the pin striping, and looks as good or better than it did before the accident. The only problem was it took about a week longer than we were originally told. I would use Brock's again and would recommend them to anyone needing auto body repairs.

The quality of the repairs was excellent but what I would have expected from any professional body shop that has been in business for years. The main problem is that they over-promise on what they can deliver; at least they did in our case. When my wife and I contracted with them and brought the car, they told us the work would take three to four days...12 days later we still did not have our car. They kept telling us that one of the parts had not been delivered, yet they had two weeks notice on what the repairs would be. They could have ordered the parts to have them on hand when the car was dropped off for the repairs. When I brought this to their attention, they tried to shift the blame to my wife for "changing her mind on what the needed repairs were going to be". The missing part was NEVER in question about having to be replaced. I finally became so frustrated from the inconvenience of not having our car that I paid for the work they had already completed, picked up our car, and told them to contact me when the missing part arrived for completion of the work. Five days after picking up my car they called to tell me the part had finally arrived and to bring it in. I asked how long it would take to install the part and was told "5-10 minutes". I drove to their location and one hour and fifteen minutes later left with the work finally completed!

After reading the positive reviews on Angie's List, I decided to take my truck to Brock's without making an appointment. I was immediately greeted at the door by a lovely young lady and was pointed to their refrigerator for refreshments. Rick gave me a fair quote and his guy's were able to do the work in 20 minutes. They did an excellent job and the scratches are gone! Rick sat there talking to me and kept me company while his guys worked on my truck. I accidentally closed my entry gate as I was pulling up the driveway and the gate made surface scratches along the side of my truck. The scratches were not deep but ugly and noticeable. I really appreciate that Rick did not try to take advantage of me. I am not an expert on bodywork, but I do know cars and I am not naive when it comes to this kind of stuff. I know there are a lot of sharks that would have tried to sucker me into a paint job. Thanks Rick!

They did a great job and were very attentive. The car looks great the left side and back bumper were totally demolished. I was a bit disapointed that they didn't fix the drivers side door, it had a previous dent so was a bit bumbed to see my nice car with that dent still there. Guess I should have said something. Anyway they did a great job were very helpful. I had asked for the headliner to be replaced and he forgot so had to leave the car there a little longer. But all in all I like them. In hindsight I probably should have let the car go cause the electrical has issues. It is still on the road however.

I had to call repeatedly before I got the estimate. Then I made the mistake of asking a "what if", was told estimate was to be revised and I never heard back. I have no interest in begging someone to work for me. My guess is the work I needed was too small to get their interest. It was less than a couple grand.

They promised that the work would be done in no more than three days. On the second day I learned of an unexpected but important appointment the day after the car was promised. I called immediately to be sure that the car could be picked up when it was promised, and was assured it would be no problem. Indeed, I got a call late in the morning of the third day that the car was ready to be picked up. When I got there just after noon to pick the car up and inspect the work, I found that one of the doors with only a small defect had been missed. Greatly embarrassed, Rick immediately called his paint man to look at his work, discussed the situation, and came up with a plan. With the help of their equipment to bake paint on, he told me that the job would still be completed today, and that the car would be delivered to my house as soon as the job was complete. Sure enough, Rick's secretary called just after 5:00 to report that Rick was on the way with the car. It was delivered before 6:00, and looked beautiful. He told me that while he expected no problems with the repairs, they were completely covered by their lifetime warranty. If I even decided one day that I didn't like the looks of it, it would be redone. The takehome from my experience is that Brock's goes way out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. A mistake was made, but the work was finished correctly, on time and on budget, and delivered to boot. No wonder they have such an excellent reputation.
Description of Work: Based on Angie's recommendation, I got an estimate from Brock's. While it was somewhat higher than some other places, my comfort with the recommendations was such that I asked them to do repair paint damage on three panels of my nearly new BMW. They were scrapes to the rear door, rear quarter, and bumper from a garage door frame.

Since we arrived in Houston in 1994, I have brought 4 vehicles to Brock's for collision damage work and never been disappointed in their work, the time involved or the price. I appreciate good craftsmanship and will pay for it. I'd rather not work with service providers who short-cut and low-ball costs just to make their money on 'gotchas' at the end.. Brock's always gives me like-new-restored quality for a fair price. The folks there are friendly and professional and treat customers respectfully. Their office was renovated by the original owner as a 1930's Deco office and Larry Peaveler has maintained that environment over the years. It is a unique place, especially for an auto body shop. Women will like the clean and interesting surroundings, men will appreciate the auto restorations parked inside the office. The business is straight-forward, friendly and relaxed - the owner sets this tone for the business - and has earned my trust. I'd recommend people try Brock's for a first-quality job.
Description of Work: Our 2006 Honda Accord was involved in 2 separate events/accidents. First was piece of plywood kicked up by car ahead of us on the highway that hit front bumper and slid across the hood leaving dents and abrasions. A week later another motorist bumped us from behind in stop-and-go traffic, denting back bumper and crazing the paint finish. Filed a claim against other driver in the rear-ending collision with USAA, but decided to self-pay for the front bumper and hood. Brock's has a long history of working with USAA (on their list of approved body shops apparently) and we initiated the claim online and Brock's contacted USAA to process the claim. USAA agreed and sent me and Brock's the go-ahead for the rear of the car. Called Richard to set an appointed time to drop the car off. Arrived and found he was detained with another client, so in the meanwhile the owner Larry Peavler completed my paper work. He said they have worked with USAA for years and would be in contact with them and me if they needed more information. Richard arrived and did a walk-around inspection, noting damage and checking structure underneath. Richard said the work would take about 4 days total and they met the deadline.

Professional from start to finish. The estimate was competitive and the time to complete the work reasonable. Based on that and the excellent reviews on Anglie's List I chose to work with Brocks. Larry made several calls in hopes of finding after market parts which would have reduced my costs. He promised the work could be done in just a few days. A dent on the bumper required replacement of the bumper and paint was needed to complete the repair. They did a fabulous job. The car was ready in just 2 days clean and looking like new. The day after I brought my car in they followed up with a phone call to update me and give an expected completion time. As promised the car was ready in 48 hours and looked new again. I would highly recommend this company.

I came into the auto shop with the idea of getting an estimate on my 2008 Jeep Liberty which had been backed into in a parking lot. It was a corner dent & split the bumper open. The estimator was efficient & the price was aboutt what I would have expected . We met the owner who also restores Classic Cars. In 3 days my bumper was good as new with a wonder wash & detail job you'd pay at least $100.00 for at the car wash. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing auto body work

Damage to the STS including a ruined tire and rim, and replacement of lower area panel below driver side door, with matching paint. Work was completed in less than a week, and was beautifully done. Brock's handled all interface with my insurance company, and was smooth and painless. The fiberglass work on a very rough 1964 Corvette Cpe was difficult and extensive, including replacing the entire damaged front end. Some other old glass repairs from years ago also had to be redone, then the entire car block sanded and prepped for painting. Brock's utilizes the latest technology with a water borne coatings system that achieves incredible paint quality. The result is an incredible quality restoration of a classic corvette. Brock's has a history of Corvette work that goes back to its original owner. I would not let anyone else work on those cars. Their normal collision work gets the same attention and quality result. Larry Peevler, the owner will allow no work to leave his shop unless it is right , and he is very particular. An medium sized operation that has all the latest technology and does first class work. I have recommended Brock's to a number of friends and all have been thoroughly satisfied. A small business owner that you can actually trust!!!

The owner, Larry Peavler, handled the estimate and dealt with my insurance company to get the job moving. He got the necessary parts quickly, had the aluminum wheel restored, and completed the repair on time and did a quality job on a very nice car. I have used Brock's before and have recommended them to friends with the same result. Mr Peavler is a very hands on owner and very particular about the quality of work his shop produces. he has invested in all the latest equipment so his shop can handle virtually any type of vehicle or repair required. It is really nice to be able to deal directly with the owner and consistently get a great result. I would not use anyone else.
