The reason I went to Brock's was that somebody decided to run their key down the side of my new car. I still had paper tags on it so I wanted to make sure whoever I took it to would make it look like a new car again. I scanned Angie's list and the feedback was positive so I went by to visit. I wanted them to only paint what needed to be painted so it wouldn't fail the paint thickness test if I trade it in later. They were very thorough on telling me exactly what my options were, how long it would take, and the price. I handed over the keys on Tuesday evening and they said they would work to get it done on Friday. I would have bet money I wasn't picking it up before Monday based on past experience with other shops. I got a call on Thursday telling me everything was on track and it would be ready between 4-5 on Friday but possibly earlier. I got a call at 2:30 on Friday saying it was ready for pick up so no complaints on the timing or communication. The next test was the quality of the work and I was skeptical about whether I could tell. Even though I knew exactly where to look I couldn't see any signs that it was repainted. The last criteria is price and it was actually cheaper than I was quoted so again no issues.
I worked hard to get that car and it's a good feeling to not have any evidence of that person trying to make a statement with my car. Great work!!
I would use Brock's again and would recommend them to anyone needing auto body repairs.
The quality of the repairs was excellent but what I would have expected from any professional body shop that has been in business for years. The main problem is that they over-promise on what they can deliver; at least they did in our case. When my wife and I contracted with them and brought the car, they told us the work would take three to four days...12 days later we still did not have our car. They kept telling us that one of the parts had not been delivered, yet they had two weeks notice on what the repairs would be. They could have ordered the parts to have them on hand when the car was dropped off for the repairs. When I brought this to their attention, they tried to shift the blame to my wife for "changing her mind on what the needed repairs were going to be". The missing part was NEVER in question about having to be replaced.
I finally became so frustrated from the inconvenience of not having our car that I paid for the work they had already completed, picked up our car, and told them to contact me when the missing part arrived for completion of the work. Five days after picking up my car they called to tell me the part had finally arrived and to bring it in. I asked how long it would take to install the part and was told "5-10 minutes". I drove to their location and one hour and fifteen minutes later left with the work finally completed!
Rick gave me a fair quote and his guy's were able to do the work in 20 minutes. They did an excellent job and the scratches are gone! Rick sat there talking to me and kept me company while his guys worked on my truck.
I accidentally closed my entry gate as I was pulling up the driveway and the gate made surface scratches along the side of my truck. The scratches were not deep but ugly and noticeable.
I really appreciate that Rick did not try to take advantage of me. I am not an expert on bodywork, but I do know cars and I am not naive when it comes to this kind of stuff. I know there are a lot of sharks that would have tried to sucker me into a paint job.
Thanks Rick!
Indeed, I got a call late in the morning of the third day that the car was ready to be picked up. When I got there just after noon to pick the car up and inspect the work, I found that one of the doors with only a small defect had been missed.
Greatly embarrassed, Rick immediately called his paint man to look at his work, discussed the situation, and came up with a plan.
With the help of their equipment to bake paint on, he told me that the job would still be completed today, and that the car would be delivered to my house as soon as the job was complete. Sure enough, Rick's secretary called just after 5:00 to report that Rick was on the way with the car. It was delivered before 6:00, and looked beautiful. He told me that while he expected no problems with the repairs, they were completely covered by their lifetime warranty. If I even decided one day that I didn't like the looks of it, it would be redone.
The takehome from my experience is that Brock's goes way out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. A mistake was made, but the work was finished correctly, on time and on budget, and delivered to boot. No wonder they have such an excellent reputation.
Their office was renovated by the original owner as a 1930's Deco office and Larry Peaveler has maintained that environment over the years. It is a unique place, especially for an auto body shop. Women will like the clean and interesting surroundings, men will appreciate the auto restorations parked inside the office. The business is straight-forward, friendly and relaxed - the owner sets this tone for the business - and has earned my trust. I'd recommend people try Brock's for a first-quality job.
A dent on the bumper required replacement of the bumper and paint was needed to complete the repair. They did a fabulous job. The car was ready in just 2 days clean and looking like new.
The day after I brought my car in they followed up with a phone call to update me and give an expected completion time. As promised the car was ready in 48 hours and looked new again. I would highly recommend this company.
It was a corner dent & split the bumper open. The estimator was efficient & the price was aboutt what I would have expected . We met the owner who also restores Classic Cars. In 3 days my bumper was good as new with a wonder wash & detail job you'd pay at least $100.00 for at the car wash. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing auto body work
The fiberglass work on a very rough 1964 Corvette Cpe was difficult and extensive, including replacing the entire damaged front end.
Some other old glass repairs from years ago also had to be redone, then the entire car block sanded and prepped for painting. Brock's utilizes the latest technology with a water borne coatings system that achieves incredible paint quality. The result is an incredible quality restoration of a classic corvette.
Brock's has a history of Corvette work that goes back to its original owner. I would not let anyone else work on those cars. Their normal collision work gets the same attention and quality result. Larry Peevler, the owner will allow no work to leave his shop unless it is right , and he is very particular. An medium sized operation that has all the latest technology and does first class work. I have recommended Brock's to a number of friends and all have been thoroughly satisfied. A small business owner that you can actually trust!!!
I have used Brock's before and have recommended them to friends with the same result. Mr Peavler is a very hands on owner and very particular about the quality of work his shop produces. he has invested in all the latest equipment so his shop can handle virtually any type of vehicle or repair required. It is really nice to be able to deal directly with the owner and consistently get a great result. I would not use anyone else.
