 + -1 moreI called and spoke with Robert Bakenhus about pulling power to a covered patio addition on the back of my house. Robert came out to my place to take a look at the project and provide me a quote. He listened to what I wanted to accomplish and was able to provide great suggestions as to how he could get it done. After this meeting I felt very confident that his company would get the job done exactly how I wanted. He provided me a quote the next day and the pricing was very reasonable. I hired them for the job and scheduled the appointment. The day of the appointment, the two electricians (Geoff and Terrell) showed up on time and ready to work. I walked them through what Robert and I had talked about and they were already aware of exactly what needed to be done (this was very reassuring). The guys finished the job very efficiently and the finished product was very professional and clean. I had them wire in 4 can lights, one ceiling fan, and a box for a flood light over a grill area with its own outdoor switch. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the entire process with Bakenhus Electric. Would absolutely hire them again.

 + -1 moreI ended up calling on a holiday. Mr. Bakenhus returned my call and had me describe what was going on. I described the situation and he thought that it was a failing common/neutral on the service wire from the transformer to the house. He said he could come out to look at it but that I really needed to call the power company because it was their problem. Honesty goes a long way with me... Power company came out and sure enough, it was the common at the transformer. Issue resolved by the power company. Will use Bakenhus if we have any other electical needs. Honest people. Cost of an honest opinion, $0. Thank you Mr. Bakenhus!
Description of Work: We were having problems with our lights dimming when anything significant like A/C, hair dryers, etc were turned on in the house. (Voltage was dropping to around 70v volts) Effected all circuits. Our house had flooded last year and I was concerned. Because it was effecting all circuits, I thought it was from the transformer to the house but wanted a professional opinion. The problem had been occurring for a while but was getting worse.

Description of Work: We had outlets and the breaker box replaced. We had electric added to both the front and the backyard. He put the whole house up to code because it wasn't.

Description of Work: Bakenhus Electric has performed work for us for over eight years. They are superior to any company in the area. They have installed small items like light fixtures, and appliances as well as wired lights that needed a switch and not a string and installed a new breaker panel.

Description of Work: My electrician is Bakenhus Electric. The last time they were here, they fixed the yard lights, they installed the bathroom heater, fixed a ceiling fan and installed some automatic switches.
