Perfect! This is the second time Ron has done this for us, and our rugs were returned to us smelling clean and feeling so soft to walk on. Colors are brighter as well. Ron is always very pleasant and professional. He listens to what the customer requests and makes suggestions to achieve the desired result. We have 3 house dogs and our rugs take a lot of abuse, but Ron always brings them back looking and smelling brand new. He also takes great care in placing them back in the rooms so they are laying flat and straight. Honest, reliable, and affordably priced for the high quality of work performed. And the best customer service ever! I wouldn't use any other company.

Working with Ron was a pleasure. He called from the message I sent through Angie's List, scheduled an appointment, arrived on time, cleaned the carpets (large bedroom and separate closet) so that they looked new again, charged a fair price and I would hire again.

I am so disappointed in the way my experience went. It started so positive, but then it took a very negative turn. To summarize for those who don't make it to the end of the review. 1. He doesn't have his own crew to do installations, but instead installs only on Saturdays using guys who work for other installers during the week. 2. His crew arrived an hour and a half late. 3. He demanded over $500 more than the amount agreed upon on completion of the job without warning. After flooding in Harvey, my family was blessed by a friend who owns a flooring company in another state who gifted us carpet. We just had to find someone locally to install it. I reached out to several, but I went with As You Like it Carpet Care based on his outstanding reviews and responsiveness to my initial inquiries. I was initially suspicious because though he advertised as a carpet installer, he told me right away that he could only install on Saturdays because the guy who does his installations works with another company during the week and could only work for him on Saturdays. He quoted a price of $5 per square yard and a possible upcharge of up to $200 depending on how the stairs were and whether or not he could dispose of the old carpet in our general contractors dumpster (which he did). The price seemed fair (less than $1000 for 129 sq yd), and I decided to proceed. I then called him a few days prior to my install to ask him if he could screw down some of our subfloor for us in two areas that were squeaking. He said he could and that he would like to walk the job and possibly place some screws the day before the install. I warned him that there were still boxes, etc on the old carpet that we had not been able to move yet and that they wouldn't be moved until the morning. When he arrived, he said he could not do as extensive a job of screwing down the boards as he liked because there were boxes on the carpet, but he would do the best he could and would try to get a bit more done the next day when the boxes were removed. (Note: My husband and I moved the boxes. His crew did not have to move anything except they agreed to move an armoire for us.) At this time, Ron told my husband that he usually gets $1200 for most of his PROJECTS (not the single component of screwing in the subfloor) on 4 bedroom homes - which is what our home is but we were only doing the carpet on one floor. He said these were full day projects with more extensive screwing than he was going to have time to do for us. He also told my husband that he charges builders $250 to screw down the subfloor. My husband's take away from this conversation was that our cost would be AT MOST $1200. The next day his crew arrived an hour and a half after the agreed upon time. However, they did a WONDERFUL, high quality job. The carpet looks absolutely beautiful. It did take them a good bit longer than we expected, but it was done well. Then Ron informs us that we owe him $1750. The breakdown on the invoice was $800 for 160 sq ft of installation ($5 per sq yd) + $150 for the stairs + $800 for 4 hrs of labor to screw in the subfloor. First of all our other measurements were 129 sq ft, and we only provided him with 145 sq ft of carpet and had leftovers. However, the BIGGEST shock was that he really charged us $800 for 4 hours of labor though he told my husband he charges others $250! He said that this was because he was so experienced with this and that he didn't charge us for picking up the carpet (which he knew he was going to do when he provided the initial quote). He charged us the same amount for 4 hours of his work that he charged for his 3 man crew to work an 8 hour day. We tried to negotiate a lower price, but he would not take no for an answer. We then paid him and parted ways. I was shocked, so I spoke to my general contractor to see what he thought. He was HORRIFIED. He said that he is charged $125 for screwing down subfloor on homes twice as big as ours. What is so disappointing is that what started out as a blessing from a friend turned into someone else taking advantage of us. If you every consider using this company make sure you have a quote in writing including each component of the project.

Based on their good reviews and no “F’s” on Angie’s list, I called As You Like It and Ron was very responsive. I told him I had a problem with an elderly pet who had been very ill and, as a result, my carpet was a mess throughout. He arranged his schedule to come the next day. Ron is professional and congenial. He looked throughout my house and quoted the price. He did a great job of removing all the stains and odors. I would definitely hire him again to clean my carpets.

Everything went fine and both carpets and tile look great.

We had 2 room suffer storm damage from Harvey. Carpets started to smell so I called As you like it, they came the next day. The quick response and a through cleaning of the carpets took care of our problem. They were extremely efficient and did a fantastic job. It gave us time so we could replace the carpet and do the job right! I will call them again.

They called me well before their arrival, arrived early (awesome) and cleaned my carpets in a very efficient manner. My carpet wasn't "dirty," but it was dusty, and my house now smells fresh and clean. This company did a great job and the employees were extremely professional. I couldn't be more pleased. I will recommend "As You Like It" to my friends and neighbors.

Ron worked us in to a very busy schedule, arrived on time, worked a long time to bring the old chair and ottoman back to life, and made us a great deal when it came time to settle up. Ron and his assistant were very nice, very professional, and earned my trust. We will use him for any other steam cleaning project we have in the future and would recommend others use him as well!! P.S. We heard from our friend today. She loves the chair.

100% AWESOME. The carpet looks almost new (to be fair, we don't use it a lot, thus selling the house) ... but, everyone who's checked it out since they've done the work has remarked that they think it looks great, smells so clean and would hire As You LIke It for their homes. Given the need to hire again, I would unquestionably hire AYLI Carpet Care again.

Great job and very professional

Ron was very responsive. Even though he was getting ready to go on vacation and wouldn't be back until after our guests arrived, he found time for us on the day of his flight to make sure we were taken care of. The end result was great. An aunt even asked us if we had replaced our carpet. This is the third time we've used their service and would recommend it to anyone.

Very poorly.

I looked at several carpet cleaning businesses before deciding on As You Like It Carpet Care with Ron and I’m very happy with my decision. Not only was Ron polite and thorough, he did an amazing job on stretching and cleaning my carpet. The carpet looks like new and I will definitely have him back.

Ron was on time, professional, quick, and fast. And yes, he did the job and carpet is clean! Got rid of several eye sores that I was never able to remove myself. Pictures mean a thousand words. Look at the photos!

Ron actually came out to give us a price before booking the job. Two other companies gave me phone estimates for 1250 sq. ft. that were much less but didn't quote stretching or enzyme treatments because they had to see them to give a cost and would do that when they came out to do the job. He measured the rooms and found we had slightly more square footage (1350) than the other two companies had estimated. His price was almost twice what the others quoted, but included absolutely everything - no surprises or wait to see. He arrived on time with a gentleman who stretched the carpet in two of our six rooms, re-tacking them to the floor. The cleaning took the amount of time estimated and the drying time was accurate. The carpets looked great after the cleaning. We did have stains that wouldn't come out but Ron told us before he started that they wouldn't. The rust stains were less noticeable, which was a pleasant surprise. It was great to have the work match the estimate so closely. Our actual cost was $30 less than the initial estimate - first time ever - but I would gladly pay the original amount for the great service.

Ron and Hector did a great job. We were very happy with the communication before and during the work, the fair price Ron gave us, their promptness, and the job they did. Overall, a job very well done.
