Like most people I only leave a review if the work was great or poor. In this case the work was excellent I was not sure at first since the quote was much lower than his competition, but the work was done timely, and the quality was excellent. The crew took their time to do it right and one nice thing is the lead person Antonio made sure everything was correct. Also, since my Spanish is poor it was nice to have workers that spoke English. After bids from 3 gate builders, I chose Julio's bid because he quoted the gate I wanted, how I wanted it constructed and sold me the right product. And, although I didn't realize it at the time of the quote, when he said, "we stand behind our work", I didn't know that if a problem arose, meant that I would have to pay extra to have it corrected. And that is exactly what happened. When the gate post (holding the estimated 500 Lb gate sagged enough to drag on my driveway, Julio told me it would cost me an additional $475 to add a 2nd gate post to help support the weight of the gate. So, after reluctantly agreeing to pay this, Julio, owner of Art Fences, never contacted me again. The bottom line is Art Fences only used 120 Lbs (2 bags) of concrete on a gate post he said would be cemented 3-4 ft deep. I ended up repairing this gate myself by digging a deeper and wider hole around the existing gate post, tilting gate and post back to level and adding another 560 Lbs of concrete around and below the existing 120 Lbs of concrete. It was at that time that I determined that the Art Fences post installers had only cemented the post down to 28"! My advice to anyone using Art Fences would be as follows: Get the warranty in writing and include a statement that all "sagging or leaning of any posts and / or any other general workmanship issues will be repaired free of charge. Also, if you are having a gate installed with 4x4 steel tubing, check the hole depth during installation and request at least 300 Lbs of concrete to secure the support gate. Art Fences created a custom gate for our home that reflected the essence of who we are (horses) and installed it about 3 weeks back. It works perfectly. Not a sound or squeak. The lift master system should work for years to come. The cost was less than other quotes we had but the service and workmanship left nothing to be desired. We have exactly what we wanted and it works perfectly.

The response from this company was wonderful. We had 2 other companies that wasted a lot of our time by never getting back to us with a quote, or by simply ignoring emails and phone calls, one, after coming to our house to look at the job and the other, requesting pictures of our broken fence and driveway gate. The couple who own ArtFences either answered our calls personally or called back within a short time. When we were given our quote(very reasonable, and better quote than the one other company), the owner was ready to take our down payment and schedule the job to be done as soon as they fabricated the fence and gate. If we had questions, they supplied answers. I never felt rushed on the phone with them either. The only confusion we had as customers was on the timing of the job, but that was cleared up immediately with one call. The crew they used to do all of the work were professional, and cleaned all of the debris up. We would definitely recommend ArtFences without hesitation.

Great product and fair price

The quality was very good. I'm very happy with the result. They were very responsive. They were easy to work with and they were fantastic.

It went ok, they were busy so the wait time was over a month for the work to be completed. Communication was not the best but the work was completed to satisfaction.
