Showed me the work needed to be done and required 50% deposit. Did a quick temporary repair (spent about 90 minutes on the roof) and promised to come back to do the whole job within 10 days. Took $2540 deposit and never came back. The temporary repair did nothing and I had to hire another roofer to do the job right. He refuses to give me my money back.

He spent about 90 minutes on the roof and claimed it was fixed at least till he could get back in two weeks. However, all I got was excuse after excuse about why he couldn't come back as scheduled. After three weeks of delays I asked for at least a partial refund which he refused to give. He now claims that the 90 minutes spent on the roof making a repair that didn't work earned him 50% of the job that was supposed to take 4 days with tile removal, wood replacement and gutter repair. He provided nothing of value and did not perform the work. At this point I'm out $2540.00 and paid another roofer recommended by the original builder to do the whole job correctly for under $1000. Additionally, he presented a liability insurance certificate that was phony. I called the company and they said no such policy was in effect. He also uses the BBB logo on his materials claiming to be a "BBB Gold Star Certificate" recipient. However, the BBB says he's not even BBB member. This guy is dishonest - stay far away!

His crew showed up on time and finished the work promptly. Mitch opened up all the areas that had potential water damage and explained to each owner what issues were discovered.  , Most units were okay, but we got good recommendations for follow on repair work. Mitch was completely honest about what repair work he could perform and what he couldn't do. In the end we were exceptionally satisfied because he repaired all roof issues and armed us with the proper knowledge to deal with the follow on contractors.  We sleep better knowing the roof is not an issue anymore.  It is easy to see why he has been in the roofing business operating under the same name for many years, a rarity in the industry.

Mitch was fantastic!  I first found Mitch through a general Google search, as most national roofing repairs companies refuse to go up and fix a 3-story townhome.  When I first called Mitch in 2011, he arrived the next day and stayed until 9pm to finish my roofing. His price was very reasonable and the work was great.  In 2014, a different part of my roof got knocked loose with heavy rain, and Mitch was the only person I called.  He came the same day, fixed the issue and resealed his previous (just in case), and issued a 2 year warrantee.  All of this was done with a smile and excellent customer service.  I have recommended Mitch to a few friends of mine too!

I wrote him through Angie's List on Monday early in the morning, Mitch replied me back in some hours by email and we arranged the repair's details by email (things to repair, price). He confirmed me that he was coming the next day.
Mitch put back the gutter, and he made a little improvement: as the downpipe was far away from the gutter, me modify it so that water could also get out of the roof by taking out one extreme of the gutter.
He also put back the soffit vent so that no pigeons could go through it.
He gave us an invoice, we paid on cash. We had the things repaired in less than 48 hours, with a good and professional service.

On Sunday 9-8-13, I was out of town visiting family, several 100's of miles away (I live in TX but was in MN).  Got a call from a friend staying at my house.  She told me the 2nd floor ceiling had a slow drip.  There had been a few heavy rains in the days prior, so suspected the roof was leaking.  I called Mitch at ARS.  He had come out several months ago, shortly after I had bought this house in TX.  At that time, I wanted to make sure my roof was in good condition, and for him to make any needed repairs, and to remove leaves that had collected on the roof (the house is surrounded by many trees).  I was pleased w/ the work back then, (plus, I have a very steep roof-- hard / dangerous work!), though it took a little longer than expected, but I understand emergencies take priority.  On 9-8-13 he was at my house w/in 1 hr of me calling him.  He found out it wasn't the roof, but thought the A/C was leaking and tried to fix the problem (which seemed to be minor at that time).  He had had a similar type of A/C problem happen at his own house.  The leak seemed to slow but the next morning (9-9-13), there was a faster drip & the ceiling was now starting to split.  I was still in MN and as far as I knew, the situation was under control as of the morning of 9-9-13.  She called him ASAP on the morning of 9-9-13, not knowing who to call (I was unreachable.. I had just boarded a plane & had to shut off cell phone).  He showed up immediately, and helped her (and later me) deal w/ the situation.  All in all, he helped me "wade" through the initial shock of the situation, helped get the proper people to the house to remedy the situation ASAP.  Mitch is a hero in my book & would recommend him w/o hesitation in the future.

Huge tree fell onto garage.  Mitch came out that night and put a good tarp over the damaged part.  His estimate was within 1% of insurance adjustment amount.  Crew came out as scheduled and completed job the same day.  Very professional carpenter and roofing professionals.  They found additional damage to roof after pulling off old shingles and had to go out and purchase additional material to complete the job.  Very fair and honest. Cleaned up and hauled everything away.   I would recommend them to everyone with any roofing needs.

Easy, on time with timely updates and a concise report after work was completed.  I sleep better at night not having to worry about this roof.  Every company should be as easy to work with when the need arises.

We had a different contractor install a roof deck into our new home (built in 2009) and, as a result, there were a number of issues with our roof. Mitch was able to quickly identify the problems and went through a methodical survey to ensure he understood the problem before giving us an estimate. He had to remove the entire deck and reseal the roof, put a waterproof membrane in some key leak areas, etc., and then reinstall the deck. He was thorough enough even to identify other issues as he did the work that he was able to fix (i.e. repair flashing and so forth). He took pictures before and after and was certain to make sure we understood what he was doing each step of the way. He was timely in terms of providing the service and was spot on in terms of how long it would take. He was even able to come in under his original estimate for the work. He put the work under warranty and called us back after the next few rain storms to check to see if there were any issues.

They do everything and not just plumbing.  We have used them many times before because they have always been very good, very prompt coming out and they have done excellent work.  The people that have come have been polite and courteous and very professional.  I wasn’t there when the work was done.  They do plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning and a lot of other things.  We have always been very happy with them.  Their price has been competitive from the people we talked to.  We have never had to have them back on any one service problem.  They have always been very quick to be out, even when it was a 105 outside and when everybody needed air-conditioning work, they got here in a timely manner.  They always showed up in the time frame they said they be here.
