Oscar with Aramendia was very helpful and didn't mind that I watched what he was doing. ( I was interested) He took the time to explain what he was doing. The pipe leading into my water heater was leaking. I thought it was where the pipe from the water heater connected to the pipe supplying hot water to the house. Oscar told me that the leak was actually in the wall, that he wouldn't be able to tell how far up unless he opened the wall.  He gave me an estimate of how much it would cost and I gave him the go ahead. He removed the minimum amount of dry wall to get to it and removed only the affected part of the pipe.
Oscar showed me where the pipe was leaking and explained what he was doing when he replaced it with new Pex piping. He answered other plumbing questions from the "what's that do" to more detailed questions and pointed out other issues concerning our water heater that will be addressed later. It was a pleasure having him fixing our issue.

Response from Aramendia Plumbing Heating & Air of Houston

"Thank you for taking time to post a review of your experience with our company! I am so sorry to hear that you did not feel you received the highest quality of service! The fact that your unit was low on Freon is indicative of a leak somewhere in the unit. The A/C unit should never leak/lose Freon. The problem is, Freon can leak from multiple places (e.g. the coil, copper lines, etc). We charge for an electronic leak search because it requires the technician's professional training and equipment. The call was a free estimate, per our company policy, and no work was performed. Please let us know if you have any other questions regarding your service! We are happy to help!"

We had a challenging bathroom remodel project for my handicapped grandmonther last year and had a bad experience with another plumber who was in over their head so we hired Aramendia.  They handled everything seamlessly and when we called them back 7 months later about a small leak under the toilet they came and replaced the seal at no charge.  Very happy with the service!

The technician seemed very knowledgeable, & completed the work without difficulty. He initially looked at the faucet, went outside for about 10 minutes & returned to quote a charge of $295.00. He replaced the faucet in about 15 - 20 minutes with no problem. I had removed the contents from the cabinet under the sink for ease of access. The charge seemed quite high, given that we provided the replacement faucet package.
My husband questioned the charge, as it was high given the scope of work. The technician stated he had to go by the company's established pricing. He also offered a T.E.A.M. Agreement for inspection & evaluation of all of our plumbing & H.V.A.C. units at a cost of $274.99, which would give us a discounted charge of $250.00 for the faucet replacement if we bought it then. We bought the agreement (total with repair was $524.99), & he stated someone would contact us to set up the evaluation visit. We've heard nothing from the company to date.
In the future, I would certainly get a quote & do some comparison shopping with other providers, if possible. In this case, we needed a working faucet & it was early evening when the technician finally arrived, so I felt I had little choice but to proceed.

By means too strange to describe here, the hose bibb was broken off at the tee at my main water supply, which required shutting off the water supply to the house. (This happened on a Friday afternoon, but I didn't find out about it until that night, which was stormy and awful. I knew I'd survive the night with bottled water, so I considered the repair urgent but not an emergency.) I found Aramendia on Angie's List and left a message on Friday evening. Got a call back about 7:30 Saturday morning, and the plumber, Randy, was at my house within an hour. He quoted me a slightly higher price than what I finally paid, because by some miracle, the break was clean and there was no other damage to the pipes or wall. He was done and the water was back on about a half hour later. Admittedly, I didn't shop around, so I have no idea whether the price was good, bad, or otherwise. But I appreciated the company's very rapid response and Randy's quick work, professionalism, and pleasant demeanor, so I feel like I got my money's worth.

I am wanting to commend them for coming back to help with the issues that they didn't resolve from before. They wrote out what I am needing to fully complete the job and to stop the leak from coming back in the future. Any time i have called in Brian answers the the phone. Him and Jason does not hide or try to pass off customers in hopes to have it blow over. When I do get to him on the phone he has the issue resolved and someone on their way with in about 5 min

After requesting an estimate Jason arrived at our house, and never sent the estimate.

We called 2 additional time, and still did not receive the estimate. I should've known to stop trying at this step, but we were in a jam and needed a shower valve replaced same day.

When called again in a second attempt for a simple shower valve replacement, Jason showed up but told us to wait until the tile was finished to replace the valve (in the wall being tiled...?)....which made no sense to me, or the other contractors present.

He also wanted to open the Moen box with the valve in it "to understand what valve I was talking about" and viewed the box with the valve in it as if it was completely unrelated. He then proceeded to raise his voice to me about how I had no idea what I was talking about and how he had already been to our house and sent an estimate so he didn't understand why I was wasting his time.

Since my confidence was lost in his response, I told him I was disappointed it wasn't going to work out and to please leave.

I called the company to try and get a different representative to provide the work we required, however the operator then informed me that our address was on the "red flag" list. I requested to speak with the manager - and turns out Jason is the Manager. Fantastic!

I couldn't think of a more horrible experience!

Call anyone else you can, save yourself the hassle.

A/C was not holding temperature in a rental property we own. Aramendia was contacted because of plumbing work they had done for us in the past (Aramendia is listed as a Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning service company). Technician came out in a timely fashion. Technician assessed the situation and contacted us with a plan for service. He listed many things that needed to be fixed and the bill totaled $4800. He also strongly suggested that I purchase a premium support plan for $365/year. I questioned him strongly and asked for him to tell me specifically what was not working. After putting him on the spot, he said he could fix it for $3600. Pressing him again, he said, "I think I can fix it for $2100." Pressing him once again, he said he could do the job for $1600. I decided to get a second opinion....he said, "Are you sure?" And then he said we owed him $85 for the trip. We searched Angie's List and found a highly-rated provider. Their technician diagnosed the problem and fixed it for $75 within minutes....the system was merely low on coolant (a problem, he said, that happens with a relatively new system....this system was only four years old). So obviously, Aramendia has at least one unethical technician, who if I'd taken his word, I'd be out $4800....each time I challenged him, the price came down. This corrupt technician caused the repair to be delayed a day. His visit charge was more than the repair by a reputable firm. Do not do A/C business with this firm.

Aramedia was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire repair. They assessed my plumbing situation following foundation leveling, and made recommendations based on the records I had regarding the best solution for my trouble. The speed of the project was impressive. I choose Aramendia on a Wednesday, by Friday the entire tunnel was dug and plumbing repairs began immediately. The entire job was wrapped up by Sunday (after two very long days of work), and the city inspection was passed on Monday. The tunnel was refilled on Tuesday. The plumbers that worked on the job were professional, and willing to answer all of my many questions throughout the process.
I was thoroughly impressed, and will call them without hesitation for all of my future plumbing needs.

On promised time and did a good job. I thought they were a bit expensive but I see most plumbers are at pains to keep their tire savings plan fully paid up. but then, what do I know about pricing. first time to hire a plumber in quite a while.

From the first contact to the very end, all employees were very well spoken, very polite, very willing to explain the re-pipe process, and willing to answer all questions. A problem with water hammer occurred and Jason (I think he is an owner) called and told me even if they had to remove all that had been installed and start the job over, they would. It turned out that the water hammer was caused by a valve they had not installed, and they fixed it without any additional charge. I was very happy with them and continue to enjoy my new pipes! I would use them again for any major plumbing job in my house.

So far, we have been extremely pleased. Jason Farrow is the Project Manager. He is very honest and up front. He made it clear to us what potential problems could be caused if we did not go forward with the work. We chose Aramendia out of three different estimates.

Last year i used Aramendia when i had a problem with my toilet.
wound up getting a whole new tolet put in after talking to the service man.
he explained all options and did a great job installing toilet.
he cleaned up well.
this year i had a leak in the attic.
Aramendia came out showed me the book of prices.
seem high at $525.00 for one small hole in copper pipe.
but he did work with in 1 1/2 hours and gave me a 90 day guarentee.
He was polite, clean and professional.
