Apollo AC and Heating

Apollo AC & Heating provided excellent service and willingness to work around my schedule as much as possible. They also helped me with the best option for a rental property, knowing I didn't want to spend more than necessary. I was informed about different units and the quality of equipment and manufacturer. Because in Houston the AC is used so often I decided to go with a better system to last longer with the warranty. There was no high pressure sales pitch but a lot of customer education. I learned about how a preventative maintenance program is a small investment for good returns. I appreciate Apollo AC& Heatings approach and customer service. They were knowledgable, fair and I would highly refer them to anyone. I also like he fact they gave me the option to pay with cash, credit or check.

I made a call to several A/C companies on April 27, 2014 (Sunday) late afternoon, to try to get a technician to come out to check my Air Conditioning system. The temperature was roughly in the high 80's,  my wife and I were miserable within the house. The owner of Apollo A/C & Heating, Kent Robertson answered the call and said he or a technician would come out to see what could be done. The technician (Tommy) came out and tried everything in his power to get the old unit to work, but the compressor was toast. So, we had a very warm and uncomfortable night with the ceiling fans on high all night, with the windows open. Early the next morning Mary gave me a call with an estimate $1850.00 for a 3 ton / 13 Seer / R22 unit. We set a time, in the afternoon and before my wife got home Tommy had removed the old unit and was installing the new unit. Tommy was very personable with a whole lot of A/C knowledge even willing to check for possible warranty on the older unit. This is a great company. They did not try to sell us anything we did not need.  I really like that in a company.

The service was excellent, done quickly, and they left everything cleaner than they found it. A minor problem a few days later (turned out to be a blown fuse) was fixed within 2 hours of calling. All of the workers were polite and professional. I will gladly refer this company to friends and neighbors.

My air conditioning was not cooling properly.  Kent Robertson, the owner, of Apollo A/C & Heating came to diagnose the problemand said the fan was not working.  It needed a new electronic board which he would have to get at the supply house, and since it was already late afternoon he said he would return the next day to install it.  He came, as promised, the following day and installed itquickly and efficiently plus serviced the unit preparing it for the summer months.  He called ahead of time to check with me as to what time would be convenient for me and then called again when he was on his way.  I think he is extremely knowledgeable and candiagnose any mechanical problem related to his profession.

Great overall. I would use Apollo A/C and Heating again. I actually had them come out to look at a rental property A/C unit for a yearly check up.  Found that the Freon was low, which was an easy fix. 

I was referred by a good friend, then I called the company, was able to talk with the owner. This is a family owned and operated business.  I scheduled the appointment for the next day to look at my overall A/C and heating system. I also understood I most likely needed to replace my A.C system.  I could choose the kind of A.C unit I wanted but asked for recommendations since there is a big pricing difference.  I chose a middle of the road unit which was not the cheapest but not the most expensive.  The work was completed the day I scheduled to replace the unit with no hassle.  The work was done promptly with no problems. The owner called to check to see how things went and let me know he was available in the future if I needed anything else. 

I would recommend calling Mr. Robertson (owner of Apollo A.C).  Definitely tell the difference between big companies and family owned and operated.
