ANIMAL COMPANIONS

I was very impressed with Companion Animals Pet Sitting from the first meeting. The two pet sitters and someone from the office came to the house several days before the engagement. They met the pets (two dogs and a cat) and we showed them around the house, where the food was kept, etc. The team asked a lot of questions about feeding, exercise, and play times. It was very reassuring to know that they not only liked animals but had a great understanding of how to care for them and interact with them. While we were out of town, we received regular text updates and photos of our pets. The team also brought in our mail and packages, offered to bring in the garbage can, scooped the cat box, and maintained lights in our house to make it appear as if someone was home. I felt really good about leaving the pets in the care of Animal Companions. No more guilt about boarding the dogs!

The cat sitting jobs that they have provided with services have gone very well. They are a fantastic pet sitting company! Very professional, detailed in following instructions, punctual and responsive to possible changes in scheduling. Their online scheduling pages are easy to use and reliable. I would highly recommend their services and plan to use them again.

The fee structure is available online. I was asking for morning and evening feeding at first, but they pointed out that I saved money by paying the overnight fee so that the cats had breakfast and dinner included with the overnight visit.! They are always helpful and responsive to requests and there are interviews before service is initiated so that you know who is coming into your home.

It went fantastic! Elaine was our sitter and she did a great job. She texted me every day to give me an update and let me know my cats were in good hands. During one of the house showings the realtor accidentally shut the door to one of the rooms thereby locking both cats in! Elaine texted me immediately the next day, she made sure both cats were OK, she cleaned up the mess they had made, and she left a stopper by the door so it would not happen again. I was so worried about my cats and Animal Companions provided me with an excellent solution - I would highly recommend them.

Animal Companions took care of our elderly, in-door only cat for two weeks, twice a day. She is nearly 20 years old and needs to be fed twice a day on prescription wet food. She has a very good appetite, but struggles to keep on weight in her more mature years, so it is critical that she has food (and lots of water) at all times. She also has to have a daily thyroid medication and a once-a-month B-12 shot. She must have her bedding changed daily as well as her litterbox, including weekly change outs. Animal Companions takes WONDERFUL care of her and there are three ladies who divided up the visits this last time. Our cat considers each of the caretakers her "aunts" and they all take great care of her. One of them sends us daily texts and/or emails with an update, and often a photo or a video of our cat has been included, so we can see her from many miles away while we are on vacation. The caretakers also take care of all her needs, as well as our house needs (watering plants, picking up mail and newspapers, etc.). Brian and Cheryl, the owners of the business, and Diane, their administrator run a well-oiled machine and we have been using them for years, probably since their inception. Their prices are very competitive with other organizations, and they try to stay that way.

This company is top-notch.  We have used other pet sitters in the past while we were out of town, and we always seemed to have an issue - the alarm was set off, there was an accident in the house, etc.  But not with Animal Companions!  Everything was perfect.  We received daily reports on how the dogs were doing, and everything was well taken care of.  They were professional, punctual, and an excellent value for the peace of mind we had leaving our home and pets in their hands.  I will recommend them to all our friends and family.

and my dog really enjoys that. They are very accessible and return emails and phone calls quickly. My dog would be very stressed with boarding so it's great to have such a wonderful group of folks to take care of her when we're out of town.

It went VERY well. It was a rainy day. but even so, the dog walker went out and my pup followed happily:-)

My dog is thrilled to have them come by. I have seen him interact with his caretakers on multiple occasions and am very comfortable with the care they provide.

Oh my gosh, we LOVE Animal Companions. We have used AC on about 4 trips in the last few months and our cats are sooooooo well taken care of. Our last trip, Shirley and Nicholas were FANTASTIC :) They played with our cats, gave them much love, cleaned up their "litter parties", ha ha ha. We have NO worries at all while we are away - we KNOW that our cats are being loved.

It went great. Prior to me signing a contract with Animal Companions Cheryl and Brian, the owners, along with one of their staff met with my dogs and me for about 30 minutes. They were very thorough in asking what all I wanted done besides feeding the dogs such as alternating lights so it looks like someone is home; watering plants; and bringing in newspapers and mail. They asked specific questions about where the dog food is kept; how much to feed; do the dogs need to be separated when eating; do they need walking; and how many treats to give. They used the keys I had given them to actually lock and unlock the door and gate, which was a good thing because one of the gate keys did not work. Cheryl came by in the mornings and evenings over a 4 day period at the times we discussed and fed my 2 mini dachshunds. She left a detailed report of what she did including bringing in mail, paper, etc. One of my dogs is almost 6 and very playful so after they ate Cheryl wrote that she played fetch with this dog. The other one is almost 16 and even though she is pretty spry she doesn't see or hear as well and does not play as much. However, Cheryl reported that she would pet the older dog and pay attention to her as she was playing fetch with the younger one. She even reported if they went outside after eating to "relieve" themselves! I could tell they really cared about my dogs, as well as my house, as if they were their own. I highly recommend Animal Companions.

Animal Companions took care of my two cats for a month. I had used them before in previous trips, but nothing as long as my last vacation. When I came home, I found m place exactly the way I left it. My pets were well cared for and they did not seem as stressed out as they do when other sitters care for them. They kept me informed of my pets while I was away, so that helped keep me at ease. I will use this company in the future for other trips.

I cannot even begin to say how much I loved Animal Companions... The initial visit was very impressive and thorough. Cheryl and Brian came, along with the assigned sitter that would be dropping in (Meredith). They provided a ton of information and by the time we said our goodbyes, I was confident that my cats (3 cats, one of them a senior kitty that needed subQ fluids) would be in GREAT hands. We were gone for 9 days and we requested 2 visits per day. For each visit, they left a log with their in-and-out times and a short comment on how they were doing. And in the middle of the week, I sent an email to check on my babies which was promptly answered.
Do not bother looking elsewhere... I am completely manic about who cares for my furry babies, and this is the first time I've been gone on a trip that I barely spared them a thought. It was a true vacation (honeymoon actually) knowing that Animal Companions was taking care of them :)

They provided a free initial consultation. They were well prepared and very thorough.
I scheduled my request on-line. The sitter left a note explaining what happened on the visit.

We have been using this company for 2 years. They came and did an ""information interview" before our first use of their company. There were 3 employees present. All three of them had prior Vet Tech experience. They have a very thorough printed checklist . Our 15 yr. old cat has to be "pilled" twice per day. They leave a printed checklist for each visit.

.They come twice a day to check on my pets. They have the keys to my home because I trust them. I will continue to use them in the future to take care of my cats.

Very pleasant initial meeting - my cat is pretty obnoxious and they were very nice to him. My cat gets subcutaneous fluids every day and they were able to do that without any problems. They left me a note each day telling me what he did and how he acted. Even though I didn't need the litter box to be cleaned or the cat to be brushed they offered and did both things. My cat can be difficult and they seemed to be great with him. Have already scheduled my next appt.

I needed a cat sitter for my two boys over Thanksgiving. I contacted them in October and arranged for them to come by for an initial consultation. I met the people who would sit my cats and their supervisor, and showed them where things were located. I ended up finding out that my neighbor is also a repeat customer of theirs. I requested to have the sitter message me every day with updates on the boys and left some instructions for her. She texted me everyday, and I was pleased with how clean the cats' food and water bowls and litter box was when I returned. The boys were healthy and happy (as happy as lazy cats can be) when I returned. I scheduled the Thanksgiving sitting over the phone and was pleased enough with them to hire them again (via their existing customer online features) for Christmas. Only drawback is their $20/30 minutes a day price plus a $5 holiday surcharge, but the service is top-notch. I would definitely hire them again.

Came twice daily for 20-30 min to care for my 19 year old cat, including giving canned food, changing litter box, administering daily medication, water, leaving a form each visit as personal and complete a report as you would hope for from a pre-school teacher on a child! A bit expensive, but always have been able to take over when I'm out of town. Well worth it, not to worry.

Excellent. I will continue to use Animal Companions. I trust them with my dogs and my house.

They are wonderful. They treat my dogs really well, and my dogs really respond to them. They are very reliable, and I have been very happy with them.

Animal Companions is extremely reliable. However, there is not a permanent receptionist to take your calls so often times you're left having to leave a voice message or to send them an email. Their website is very handy and extremely useful in scheduling appointments. I was extremely disappointed when I notified them of my dog's passing and received no correspondence from them. No phone call, email or sympathy card from this company that I used often. Also, they seem to get a bit annoyed if you have to cancel an appointment. Life happens and business trips do get cancelled through no fault of our own. I still give them a grade of (A) and hopefully they can take constructive criticism.
