"Mrs [Member Name Removed], It displeases me that our service did not meet your expectations. We do our best to be very thorough. Jose has been with us for 24 years. He usually can find a leak in a matter of moments. I'm sorry you feel the pricing was unfair. I personally did not see your home, but our minimum charge to do 1 story repair work is $475 & 2 story repair work is $675 for a repair, not a tune up. To replace shingles a 10"x10" area is $875 so a 5"x5" area would be worth $437 just for that area. We are not paid by the hour, but per the job. The $550 you paid included a full tune up (preventative maintenance package which we recommend for all roofs 7-10yrs+) & removal / replacement of the shingles in a certain area. The cost of the $550 covers the warranty, insurance on our man, drive time, labor time, vehicle maintenance / gas, and the left over is the gross profit. It's not as large as some may believe. We would have been more than happy to come out and try to fix the leak area since we provide warranties for all work, since it persisted. Once again I am very sorry that you had a displeasing experience. We do a great amount of work year round and very rarely have hiccups, but sometimes they do happen, and I do apologize this happened on your particular repair project. Our experience, training, and knowledge allow us to finish a tad sooner than some of our competition. As for our pricing, it's very competitive for an experienced contractor and we have price friendly guidliness that allow us to price the job based on what's present for the tune-up.
