very well. They provided the most cost effective option and had the work done quickly on the weekend.

American Auto Glass did an excellent job with no hiccups. They replaced the rear window of my 4Runner and also ordered and replaced the rear locking mechanism for the rear door (the lock was detached). Over all and excellent job. Robert communicates clearly and effectively with me. Fast, high quality, and courteous service.

They broke my window twice before they got it fixed. They lost the platic parts that go-over the top of the glass. They had to order them from the dealership, but we never got them.eld

First the business end:
I brought my car at the agreed upon time, and they finished with the window about an hour later than agreed to. Not a big deal at all, as I wasn't in a rush. Paid, drove my car away, and then tried the window. CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK. As good as the window looked, It wasn't operational. I brought it back, and without tools or anything, the owner forced the window down with strength and there was a loud bang that didn't sound unlike a gunshot.
I didn't drive much this weekend and don;t utilize the back seats often, but this morning I threw a couple of tennis racquets in the back, closed the door, and heard a loud bang again, This time it was the window shattering after being in my car for five days.
I strongly feel that there's an association between the poor install and the glass breaking after five days, but when speaking with the owner, he was adamant that they were unconnected, and suggested a number of possible causes that weren't possible with my car being garaged since the break in, like being hit by lawnmower stuff. He refused to budge or stand behind my work, and there's nothing you can really do there except take your business elsewhere and let people know what happened.
So the end result is that I ended up paying $200 and half a day of work missed for a window that lasted 5 days. That's 2 days less than the James Franco character spent under the rock in the movie 172 Hours. Over $1 an hour that glass cost me. Sigh. I offered to pay for the replacement glass itself if they covered the labor, which I thought was fair, but was told that the best offer was a slight discount from the original failed installation. For me that leads to a big, fat F as the letter grade.
I also wanted to add that the grade I'm giving is reflective of the end product, and not the people themselves. The owners seem like they're wonderful people, and they would have had a repeat customer for life if the window performed as expected or if they had just merely stood behind their work. The mother actually even gave me a ride a few blocks to my house. Until stuff went wrong, they were incredibly nice people, and even after things went wrong they were still polite and amiable, just steadfast that they were in no way responsible. I, of course, disagree, but I still respect them as people.

That was a mess. The price was reasonable and I gave my credit card to do it and he charged $2236 instead of $236 and I called Capital One and they were okay as there was an error. He did give me a receipt and they contacted him and they basically took the money back. I would not recommend him at all. He did a good job but it was a hassle. He took my credit card but didn't have a machine to give me a receipt so I didn't see and I signed it for $236 as I gave my credit card and expiry date. A lady called me saying they received a call from Capital One regarding the overcharge.

After waking up to a smashed car window, American Auto Glass was able to take care of it promptly and at a reasonable cost.

I contacted Bernadette at American Auto Glass on Friday morning inquiring about replacing my windshield for my 2010 Ford Escape due to several cracks that were not repairable. After providing her with information about my vehicle, Bernadette told me that I could drop the vehicle off the same day before lunch and they could have it ready by the end of the day so I wouldn't be without for the weekend. I dropped the vehicle off with them at lunch and it was ready for pickup later that same afternoon. They were very friendly and provided great service. Roger was even able to reapply my inspection, registration, and EZTAG sticker flawlessly. The new windshield looks great and I am very satisfied with the service I received here. The price was cheaper than several other places that I contacted. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a windshield replacement or repair.
