Started work june2014. Oops, company didn't pull permits and city shut down work. Unfortunately roof of my garage was already opened and exposed as patio ties in to garage. After 4 emails and calls to office i got tarps to keep out the rain After10 days. Good thing since permits took 5 weeks and one more set of angry emails to get tarps replaced after they tore off during a bad storm. Restarted Aug2014 with a concrete slab poured over existing concrete patio taking the patio height up 4 inches above ground like a stage in my back yard. Left 3/4 inch clearance to my back door. Company refused to pull it out. Placed "french drain" next to the house to prevent flooding. Promised warranty against water intrusion but warranty never appeared. Built a patio structure above using WRONG BLUEPRINTS. Really true-plans on site approved by city were different from plan framers had to work with. So had to pull down structure and build right structure. Then stricture failed windstorm inspection (we are in November by this time on a 4 week project). after repairs and new inspection in December, the fun part started. They left a 4 foot high pile of debris next to the patio for 6 weeks during this time so i also have no grass next to my stage. Painting and brick column work took 2 months, forgot to schedule an electrician to install lights. Finally in March after the concrete slab had sat unfinished for 6 months, the company agreed to try to resurface or refinish the slab. Still waiting on May 2nd for that to occur. Salesman/project manager Mark has been on site 3 times in 8 months-absolutely no supervision of my project. Will inevitably need to have slab pulled out and replaced (already had another concrete company out for an estimate-they said no way to repair current slab that would be durable And will be another $7800 for remove/replace.
Still have not finished the columns properly, still have exposed french drain, concrete stain splattered on my house bricks. And the office girl that apparently is running the project (mark the project manager always says"l'll have to check with Ana about that") had the audacity to send an email March 5th asking for final payment. NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH YOU ABOUT THE PROJECT. THE SUB CONTRACTORS ARE OF THE WORST QUALITY IN MANY CASES (THE LAST FRAMER THEY SENT OUT NAMED CARLOS WAS FABULOUS, BUT THE FIRST CREW WAS RIDICULOUSLY INEPT). I will review their grade if the project ever is completed, but really anticipate will end up in arbitration and legal procedings. Steer clear.
