Another firm came in and first and said I needed a capacitor which was covered under my home warranty contract. But, wanted to do $380 worth of work in addition to that which would not be covered by the warranty. In fact, they showed me a refrigerant line that was badly bent at the furnace and I certainly do not remember it looking that way before that technician arrived. I declined that work since it included repairing that line. I called Alief for a second opinion based on my son-in-laws recommendation of them (he used them for many years). John from Alief indicated that the other repairs were not needed and he tested the unit again and even resealed a plenum that the prior technician had pulled apart and not put back together properly. They are experienced and helpful. They explained what needed to be done and why. They were reasonable in cost and came quickly and on time. They did not try to push unnecessary repairs. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Alief responded within an hour to our call. They troubleshot the problem and had the air conditioner up and running in 30 minutes. Total cost was for the service call! (We had another quote of $1700 to fix this same air conditioner from a well known a/c company in Houston). We highly recommend Alief - honest and trustworthy!

I had a problem with a leak in the ceiling, but it turned out to be an issue with a pipe and not the AC unit. They were able to fix the issue. They are excellent. This guy knows my mom, and has always been around for us. He is very nice, and reliable. He gets the job done, and is a good worker. They have also done work in our attic for us. They came out in the summer when our unit when out after hours one time.

Wow! Both technicians were friendly, polite and extremely competent. Took them 2 hours of combined time to get my a/c running today. They even tested the furnace(YEOW!!!!). Prior company took 2 days and$390 and STILL did not fix problem. Guess who I will call first next time!!!!

Service crew arrived promptly on time, they were very professional and friendly. Wanted to know if I had any issues with the system, where were the units - addict, thermostat and the compressor. They put plastic shoes on and got straight to work, turned the temperature down to check the AC first and started to check the equipment in the addict and outside. The same with heat.
They found out that the pan underneath the unit in addict was corroded and were surprised that nothing leaked into the house. They promptly replaced the sheet metal drain pan, cleaned the addict unit in addict.
I will be using this company annually to do all check ups, they seemed they cared, were professional and knowledgeable.

Excellent! A technician by the name of John came on time on the scheduled day. He first came into the house to check the thermostat and a/c filter. John then went up on the flat roof of my townhome to check the a/c unit. He checked the electrical, the freon, and blew out the drain. He told me that the pipe and drainpan were both rusted out. I asked him if he could give me an estimate for a new a/c and heating unit since I was putting a new roof on in a couple of weeks and wanted to also put in a new a/c unit. My existing unit is 15 years old and on its last leg. A couple of days later an estimate was sent to my email by the owner of the company with two options for a new 4 Ton Trane a/c and heating unit. All in all, my experience with Alief Heating & Air Conditioning was great! They will be installing my new a/c unit. I will definitely recommend them to all my family, friends, and neighbors.

This excellent company performed warranty work on my furnace. Got there very quickly, diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly. Great company.

The company is very reliable on all our service work that needs to be done to maintain operating properly. The price is fair for the service. They would explain what they were doing and how the heater and air conditioner should be running.

I called on Friday afternoon & they said they would come out on Monday morning. Eddie called at 9:00 AM & said he was on his way. He found the problem, fixed it promptly, & only charged a service charge. He wrote up a complete clear report describing exactly what he did to fix the heating problem. Eddie is great! I'm so glad to know about Alief Heating & Air Conditioning because the company we used in the past no longer responds to our calls. Alief Heat & Air will be helping us to survive many hot Houston summers in the future.

I purchased the air conditioner from Alief as well. Alief is a very professional business, and not to mention, the people were very courteous. I have not come across any problems as of yet. I would say that the pricing is very competitive, not too expensive and not to cheap. I am very satisfied with the company, the people, and the work.
