I called on Thursday morning to have the flowers delivered to my friend who had just delivered a baby. She was going to be in the hospital at least until Saturday, so I ordered the flowers. Alfred told me that he was going to the wholesale florist that morning, and if I could wait until late afternoon for the delivery, he would ensure that the mixed arrangement would be fresh. They were the most beautiful flowers I ever saw, delivered to a medical center hospital in the morning of the next day. My friend said that they lasted through the trip home on Sunday morning, and well into the next week. I appreciated his informing me that if I could wait until the next morning for delivery, he would have the freshest flowers available for the arrangement.
