"We are sorry for the misunderstanding. The customer must have only looked at the first page of the bid which was the parts total. We are looking forward to receiving payment for the job and providing more excellent service for years to come."
"On Mon. 04/13/09 - Site inspection for bid. Fri. 04/17/09 - Proposal letter sent indicating labor rate and part pricing. Tue. 04/21/09 - Received e-mail from the member stating that it had been "2 weeks and he wanted something done right away or to be referred to another company". Tue. 04/21/09 Salesman called him and scheduled the alarm system repair, installation of Cell backup unit, and activation of alarm monitoring. He decided to wait on the DVR installation and camera job. Fri. 04/24/09 Technicians arrive and complete the job. Billed customer for 12 man hours of labor, a wireless transmitter, a wireless receiver, four recessed contacts, the cell back up unit, and the first quarter of monitoring. Thu. 05/07/09 his wife calls wanting an explanation of the invoice. Fri. 05/08/09 I called back but was only able to leave a message on their machine. Tue. 05/12/09 I called again and asked to speak with her. He said that he would discuss the bill and let her know. He agreed that he accepted the bid, but he was shocked with the price. Since we have never had an unhappy customer before, I agreed to discount the labor by $150.00 and waive the price of the cell backup unit since it will remain our property. This brought the customer's total including tax to $ 614.50. He agreed with the new price, but we still have not received payment as of Tue. 05/26/09 at 10:00am. Laura Pemberton"
