AJ's Seamless Gutters

We hired them for the original gutters on our home in 2012. After construction of an addition, we called to have gutters installed on the new addition and replace a damaged piece. He gave us a booklet with 30 color swatches and said choose. The shades were so similar it could have been any one of about 10. He refused to assist or look up our old job, so we took our best guess. Well, it was wrong. I called, left a message, said I could live with the back, but the repaired piece was sooo obviously wrong it had to be corrected. He ignored our requests to come out and discuss it. When he finally did call he beat us over the head with the contract, he just kept saying you signed a contract, you signed a contract. Well, apparently I missed the fine print that allows him to treat me with disrespect and ignore my calls, text, and emails. Yes, we picked the wrong color. Could his installer have knocked on the door and said this won’t match. Yes. Could we, right then, have made a decision to rectify the problem. Yes. The installers attitude was, “Not my house, not my problem, sucks to be you.” After posting on Angies List, his response when I said “hello” was “what do you want.” We reached a resolution, (we have to pay for) but he was again, very rude and arrogant through the process. His attitude is, you signed a contract and that absolves him of dealing with any customer complaints and gives him the right to be rude and disrespectful. I would never recommend him.

Great. The team arrived when scheduled. They worked quickly and safely. It was a small job so it didn't take them long to finish. They were courteous and left the area clean.

Provided an estimate that was a bit lower than a competitor.  The estimate was sufficiently detailed. There were a number of colors and it was easy to match to the existing paint. Job was completed about a week later.  Two installers arrived, generated the runs and did the install.  They worked quickly and neatly.  Job looks great.

Their quality of workmanship is excellent.

They look fantastic and were installed quickly once we got the estimate redone and work scheduled. We had to contact them to find out when they were coming. They asked us to fax them the quote, which seemed a bit weird In the end, we got great gutters for a great price.

Went well. Contractor came out. Offered higher quality material than competitor that was more expensive. Installed a leaf guard protector. After many heavy rains, they are draining awesome. The color he recommended blended great with the house. Thanks, AJ.

The scheduler was engaging and responsive. She made me feel comfortable about their ability to participate in a complex loan process that involved FHA. The representitive that came out to do the estimate was patient, informative, and appreciated my desire and neeed to be cost effective. He did not appear to inflate prices for work to be done, and he was helpful in deciding how to cut costs. He appeared to be fair minded and down to earth. I plan to use the company once the proposal is approved.
He inspired confidence. And his daughter at the office was so helpful and confidant that I immediately felt comfortable with the ability of the company to do the job.

This company is highly professional and offers competitive pricing. We received 2 other quotes, but AJ's was the most reasonable. We asked them to come a second time to give us a quote on the remainder of the house because we had not planned originally to have gutters installed on the entire house. They returned very quickly and gave us the requested information. The work was completed in a timely manner. They are very good about advising on how much guttering should be done. They do not try to sell you more than you need, but with such reasonable pricing, we decided to do the entire house. We are most pleased with A.J.s Gutters and now we realize why this company has received such excellent reviews.

Install went well overall until I noticed they installed the down spouts in front of my security cameras. I notified them and they came back to rectifiy the problem, moving them to the side, out of the view of my cameras. During the rework, a senior sales associate who was there to supervise, was looking at the rear gutters and noticed the gutter was incorrect for all of the trees I had and would be stopped up by leaves and pine needles if left there. For the troubles, he offered me a deal to gutter the rest of the house for X dollars more. I agreed to this and had a signed contract to do so before he left my property. They came and did the work and added screens on all gutters to keep any debri out of them. They ran out of down spouts. They were to come back and add these two the next day. They never showed the next day so I called them to see when they would be out to finish. The phone was answered and I was put on hold then got an ear full from the owner about the price his senior associate gave me to do the rest of the house for the incorrect type gutter on the back of the house and them installing the down spouts in front of the cameras. Then he proceeded to give me an excuse (carried this on for 2 days) about returning to install two 2and quot; down spouts to complete the work. Then proceeded to tell me that he would not be returning to complete this because it was too far out of his way, but yet they service the whole Houston and surrounding areas? All of the work both times was paid (cash) in full before the work was ever performed. I ended up installing the two down spouts my self and completed it. Overall, they do excellent work but the customer service and professionalism is very Shotty.
I have to add that the installers that came were very professional and friendly, but there is much to say about the professionalism and courtesy for the office staff.

It's been more than a year ago they did the work. They finished the same day. Everything is working well. I was extremely impressed with them from the very beginning. They were very courteous. They set an appointment. They were there at the time they said they were going to be there. The installation itself went very smoothly and they finished the same day. They cleaned up after what they took off and everything. It didn't seem like they were there what so ever. It's been a little bit over a year and everything's been working good. I compared their price to a couple of other people and they were good.

The service man came out and priced it. Work was on time and good installation. But the second time they came out to to move a downspout (which they did not scheduled for many weeks after the first installation), they cracked my roof tile. These guys may know gutters, but they did not know how to walk on tile roofs. I also checked their price against William Insulation, and they were comparably higher. I would have given them a B if they did not crack my tile roof.

Service was excellent. Called and they came out 2 days later to give me the estimate. Scheduled the work for 1 week later. Guys came as scheduled and finished work promptly. Site was left clean, quality of work was great. price was $200 cheaper than competitors.

I made 3 separate appointments to meet AJ's salesman at my house. The salesman kept showing up at different times than I had arranged. Finally, I was about to give the job to someone else when they called me with a quote. Although I was unhappy with the salesman's predictability, their quote was $300 less than the next best. Later, they added $32 because the salesman forgot a petty detail. So I gave them a deposit, and they scheduled the work for 2 weeks later. They had a long queue of customers ahead of me. When the 2 weeks came and went, I called to get a firm date for installation. "The Boss" was the only one who could confirm a day (control freak?), and when he called me back, he said they'd be out tomorrow. Sure enough, they were and finished in one day. The gutters look great and the workmanship is fine. The gutter color matches my trim very well, as promised. The workers left aluminum trash and trimmings in my lawn and on the roof.

They came when expected at the time of estimate and installation. The price was very reasonable, and they did an excellent job.

AJ returned my call right away and stopped by to give an estimate. He was very reasonable with his prices and was totally honest in telling us the front gutters were in good shape. The gutter replacement was scheduled on the spot and AJ was well prepared. He did an excellent job, cleaned up any mess and left the back of the house in tiptop shape.
