AirPro has friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable installers/technicians who kept our property clean and removed all of our old A/C and heating equipment to make a nice setting for the new equipment. If there is a problem during installation, the company will work with a customer to make them happy. Bill T

I recommend you ask for your quote to be DETAILED, including full model number. I had a one-line quote which suggested a certain model, and though the quote was higher than others, I was willing to pay the extra for the better model that was quoted. However, a lesser model was installed. AirPro claimed their one-line-item quote was for this lesser model, however, a third party installer agreed with my assessment. Interestingly enough, the invoice provided after installation, was VERY descriptive and did not state the same thing as the single line item. I don't know if this was a case of bait-and-switch or just bad selling practices. The installers turned my vertical roof vent into a perpendicular-to-the-roof (angled) vent, which I had to get them to correct. Also, I assumed the follow up appointment would be to ensure I was using the unit properly and at top efficiency (making sure the thermostat was setup correctly for optimum use). No.... I had to ask those questions, and I'm still not convinced I'm getting the optimum use out of it. They quoted and performed the work very quickly, however. I chose AirPro because they were in west Houston's "Best Pick" reports, but I do not see why.

When they installed the new unit they recommended I have the attic tent. I don't have an attic tent and every time they opened the attic stairs to go in to do the service the unit, debris from insulation was falling on the stairs and I was having some heat loss and A/C loss into the attic. The price was reasonable. Because I was a club member they gave me the tent at cost. I priced it at a store and it was about $160. I only had to pay $300 for the attic tent that included installation too. I thought that was a good deal. Overall their a great company, and probably one of the best.

My system has been repaired by over time by different attachments because you can have a three and half ton furnace and you can have four ton coil in the duct work. So your duct work can be not the same size as the furnace. My unit was a very old unit so work has been done to my system over time. But basically everything needed to be replaced and of course I couldn't replace the duct work because that would be too expensive. They were able to put a 3 1/2 furnace with a 3 ton condenser. It's not going to be as efficient because you can only put a system that will handle the duct work. The price was impressive, but they just couldn't make my system as efficient as I needed it to be. I really don't need it to be that efficient. I'm by myself so it's not like I run the A/C all the time. If I had a family and there were people home all the time that would be running the A/C during the day time, it might be more important for it to be as efficient as possible. They wanted the outside condenser unit to match the furnace. The quality was good, I was happy with the quality. Responsiveness is very good. The owner is Bob Monroe. The tech I've been working with is professional, very responsive. The company as a whole is privately owned. They have a maintenance program you pay $199 a year for spring and fall and it includes discounts on repairs. It also includes if you buy the unit, which I did, once the labor warranty runs out if you keep up the maintenance agreement with it for ten years they will replace something, the labor is never included. It makes it worth while because replacing something that breaks down on the unit just the labor alone can cost you $1200. There may be a warranty on the price but the labor is only warranted for a year. Their very punctual, I have no complaints on that. They're very responsive to their customers. I recently purchased an attic tent because I was getting heat loss into the attic and debris would fall out when they went into the attic. I will be using them as long as my system is under warranty last and longer. Overall they did a good job, especially with what the system needed. They did their best with the old system that I had. They gave me the best deal and they had a third party finance it. I opted for the low 18 month interest. They had a 12 month no interest loan but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to pay it off in exactly 12 months.

Overall very well. The Tech did a good job and explained everything very well. He also told me where to buy a tool that I could use to repair it myself.

Started on wrong foot when 2 phone calls when and nobody called back. Wife had to call owner on cell phone to get a reply for an appointment to check what project was about in the house. Still, decided to give them a chance. Was told would be at house 8:30-9:00 depending on traffic...they arrived at house at ~11:30. It seems foreman who told me schedule probably did not know we were moved to 2nd appointment of the day... They finished fast, partly because it was a relatively simple project. Crew was friendly, professional and very clean. Explain what they were going to do and ask me to inspect work before giving me invoice. Pricing seemed too high; took crew about 1.5 hours of relatively easy work (I have done this installation before in another house), but I can understand the pricing of installing the filters being a little high because they could not make any money on the equipment. However, I was assured that the attic tent was a much better kind that what is found in consumer stores, and that is why the high price. What I got seems identical to what I can get online for half the price, so charging a couple of hundred dollars for bringing and doing a 20 minutes installation seems too high. Debated what to say about whether to call them again, at the end I will probably stay with my older/smaller contractor, AirPro crew was very professional, friendly and courteous but not very responsive and prices seemed too high for what was a relatively simple and not rush job.

we have used air pro for 35 years.  when we moved in the heater & a/c were already @ 10 years old.....they took care of both & kept them running until we finally needed both replaced.....their customer care service is extremely professional, reasonably priced & they are very good about being prompt on the day that you schedule .  all their workers are pleasant, professional, very good at keeping a clean work area & take care to lay down plastic to  cover the homeowners carpet & wearing booties on their shoes....actually my entryway & hall area was cleaner when they left.....our heater was replaced @ 5 years ago, then the a/c was replaced in may of 2014...their office people are exceptional also & each time have helped me get the home project credit card from wells fargo visa to pay for my repairs or replacement....their maintenance package is also very reasonable....I wouldn't use anyone else.  I have read the other reviews that claim to have had a problem I kind of wonder if they actually listened to the repairman & paid attention to what he was saying or just listening for the price.....the person that is sent out to check on what you want to have done, will also explain what you need to have done also...many homeowners think that it is one thing when the actual problems might be a combination of things & both need to be fixed (if the homeowners are not qualified repair persons then they need to go by what the qualified repairman says) air pro has also quick fixed some problems for us to at least keep both units running until I became able to replace them....they have always been there when we needed them.....

The Air Pro technician (Burnett) asked what the basis of the dire diagnosis was and then began his own investigation.  He said things just weren't adding up to him and he was right.  Turned out all I needed was a new blower motor capacitor (the thing was completely dead).  Needless to say I was ecstatic to pay the $265 repair bill rather than a $7,000 new system bill.  Air Pro just got themselves a new customer.

P.S. The technician also took time to tell me about all the standard processes the owner has put in place to ensure that the service level is the same between all of their technicians - and talked about the extensive training they go to each year to ensure they know how best to install and maintain the American Standard products they sell.

Air Pro was great through the whole bidding process. I felt as though they were very complete and thoughtful of my needs and requests. They even followed up with me several times to see if I had questions about the quote. I would not hesitate to use them for future services. In the end, I did not select them for this job because they were the highest quote of four that I received. I am sure that if they would have done the work, I would have been happy.

We called Air Pro to do an annual spring checkup on two a/c units in a home we own.  The diagnostic charges were $138.  The technician blew out a drain line on a condensate pan since it was full of water, charge of $200.  He said everything else was fine.  We are selling the house, and upon inspection by the buyers, less than a month later, we found that neither of the units was operating properly.  The difference in supply and return air temps was far less than normal on both units.  As well, the drain line was clogged again!
We called Air Pro to see if they would come out to re-inspect and unclog the drain.  We basically were told they don't warranty the drain line work, and too bad on the service charge.  We would be charged that again as well.  It seems as though we got nothing accomplished for $338.  I can understand that drain lines can clog again, but in less than a month?  And no offer to remediate the charges for a second visit.  Why didn't the technician find the problem with the temperature differences?  They are supposed to be experts on A/C's and found nothing.  A generalist home inspector found the issue in minutes.
Would not recommend Air Pro.

We had Airpro come out to check our 2 units (two story house with two separate systems for each floor) for our grandparents'. The tech said both systems were shot and we needed two completely new systems which was going to cost us over $16,00. We were very shocked decided to call another company out to check it. The other company come out and told us the way the wiring was wired it was essentially blowing our motor which Airpro NEVER mentioned. The new company also gave us a quote for a tune up on the downstairs and new a new system upstairs. This estimate and repairs are only costing us $6,000. TEN THOUSAND dollars less. Also, I'm not exactly saying the guy from airpro sabotaged us with the wiring.. however, the way it was wired it was going to blow BOTH of systems in turn giving us no option aside from completely replacing them. They had to have been wired like that when he came (if he didn't do it himself) so why wouldn't he warn us about it?? This company seems to be full of scammers..
Response from AirPro Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc.

"We at AirPro are happy you got the air conditioning work completed at a lower price, but AirPro can't be responsible after service is rendered for a customer changing there minds from spending money to repair or replace the old equipment. When the technician left the house there was an understanding from the customer to the tech that the equipment was to be replaced. Once the technician left the home, the customer has every right to call other companies for opinions and then come to a conclusion, but not accuse the first company of wrong doing when the scope of work has changed from the customer side. It would have been easier to make a phone call and say, we have changed our minds and don't want to spend that much money can you give us options to make some repairs."

I have used them for over 25 years.  They are the best because they are responsive to their customers and they have excellent customer service.  They are timely, clean and they have a well-qualified team of technician.  They have great prices and you feel confident in the work that they.  They are reliable that if you can then they will be there as soon as they can.

We much preferred AirPro's professionalism & quick response.  The unit finally went out, & AirPro replaced it for us.  They're generally all helpful, from the office staff to the technician.  Each time, the technician went out of his way to help us, even staying onsite one time for almost an hour until my husband could get home to talk with him directly.

The work was excellent. The tech that came out explained everything thoroughly and the need for the work. They cleaned up afterwards, because that is a mess, and they had to drag all the duct work out. They got everything done in one day, and I was pleased with it. They followed up and called  later to find out if I am happy with it. I have been using them in the past, and I have been very happy with their services. I have been using them probably 6-7 years.

I haven't scheduled anything for the spring which I need to. We have two units. We have been using them for 2-3 years. They are prompt, and when you schedule an appointment, their service reps come out at the time scheduled, they suggest things that need to be improved, but it is no pressure.
Response from AirPro Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc.

"(member name removed), thank you for the kind review. We are currently scheduling Spring Tune-ups. A two system check up will take about two hours to complete the 37 point inspection. Please give us a call for a $10.00 discount."

They are very good.  They are polite.  They are efficient.  They coming and do what they are supposed to do.  They are just a very good company.  They take all their boxes.  We got a special for about $80 for the unit but we have two and they honored what they said.  It was not loss later or just to get into the door and do more.  They are fair in pricing.  They were very good, they wear their booties and they clean up.  When they are up in the attic, they don’t leave trash around like other people have done, they clean up their mess.  It is an honest company and that is hard to find these days, and we went before three others before we found them.

They were outstanding. Their own crews do the installation which I appreciated. We bid the job out to three companies and Air Pro was the only one that used their own crews. The supervisor came in and out of the project the whole day. The unit was installed better than our original heating system. They really did an outstanding job. You also get a year of the maintenance agreement with them. The maintenance is great. I intend to continue with the maintenance agreement.

AirPro had performed some small jobs for us in the past and we were well satisfied with their work. They seem to be have a work ethic to perform only necessary work and nursed our dying A/C unit along until the very end.
