My first floor A/C unit was not cooling on the hottest day of the year. My regular A/C person could not come on short notice, so I used Aire Serv. The technician was polite and was on time, but he did not seem very confident about what to do. He actually did a video call with his supervisor to ask questions. They concluded that the evaporator was broken and because I was using R22 freon it would be cheaper if the entire unit was replaced. This would have cost thousands of dollars and required days to fix. It didn't seem right. I paid the $59 service fee. I had my regular A/C guy who I trust come the next day, and the problem was a bad connection to the capacitor. it took 3 minutes to fix and cost 50 cents for the part, although he didn't charge me a penny. My conclusion is that Aire Serve-River Oaks is another one of those companies that wants to replace and not fix. Incompetent or deceitful, it doesn't really matter. I recommend avoiding this company.

Fixed. Solved the problem blockage. Showed me the evidence. Fixed the backup tube also.

Fantastic! Charles and his guys are real pros. They communicate, execute, and clean up after they are done. I have used them before with another problem and it was the same professional service that brought us back to them. If you have an AC problem these guys are the one's to call!

Stan spent more than enough time looking throughout the system, testing it in every way possible and explaining to me what the possible causes of my problem were. He was both professional and considerate. He assisted the guys that were installing our washer dryer. He had some extra duct tape and went to the truck to help out our install. 
I plan on calling Modern Air and Stan up again for our yearly cleaning of the vents and what not. 
Oh and he spent over 2 hrs on a Saturday to diagnosis the issue. All of that for $19 I'd say its a bargain. 

The project took longer than anticipated; however, Charles stayed the course and got all completed to our satisfaction. Final product and installation was excellent.

Our furnace had pretty much bit the dust, and I called Charles and he came out at the time requested and found it unrepairable, and a huge hole in the venting. He gave us an incredible bid to replace the furnace and bring the venting up to code. We not only know we got a great deal, great service, but now we have a much safer system. His install crew were amazing, left the work area clean, and they were very amicable and nice to have working in the house. The furnace and venting passed city code inspection with ease, and in an old house that is no easy task. I will use Modern Air for all my heating and air conditioning services from here on out, I feel like we've found a jewel.

It was a good company and I would recommend them.

This is the 2nd time I've used Modern Air, first time was to replace a missing outdoor AC unit. Great experience each time. One of the few providers out there who can explain in simple terms what is going on and lay out all the various options available and their cost - leaving the choice completely up to me. No attitude, no pushing towards one choice or the next, just plain and straightforward, this is what I can do and why. Does great work, and unbeatable price - only thing that was not tip-top was scheduling and punctuality, but I'm not surprised the guy is busy - he's good : ) I can deal with that!

I called them because the power bill was sky high. He said that there was nothing majorally wrong with it. He charged me 150.00 to pump 1 pd of freon in to one unit and to look at two other units. I had a different company come out because that did not fix the problem and they identified the problem immediately. It was a clog in the air conditioning ducts. I wasted close to $300 on the other company because they did not know what they were doing.
