We purchased a brand new unit from them and were promised the moon and the stars. They would come and change air filters and service would be included and we have a 10 year warranty. ALL LIES! We had them come out because the until that is under two years old is messing up and I was charged a fee when it's supposed to be included. DO NOT work with these people. They are selling you lies.

Read below for how Air Tech has compromised the health of my family including two children under 2 years old and has cost us thousands of dollars. They installed a brand new expensive unit last year and we now have MOLD because of a bad install! We moved into our house about 1.5 year ago and at that time there were no concerns of mold in our house. Right when we moved in we bought a new AC unit from Air Tech for our upstairs. We also had a new roof placed. Since living in our house, we have had no issues with water damage/leaks/etc. We recently noticed concerns for mold in our upstairs. I then had mold testing performed which confirmed mold and we have also had a mold remediation company come out and quote us thousands of $$$ for remediation. Additionally, I got a second opinion from another mold testing company. Both companies were concerned that the mold was caused by AC issue due to the high humidity upstairs. I then hired an outside party AC company to come look at our system and he stated that our brand new upstairs AC unit installed last year was installed without any adjustments to the default settings to meet the needs of our house and was running totally wrong/off balance. The air was blowing too high and the static pressure was high resulting in high humidity levels upstairs. He stated that the person that installed the system "did not know what he/she was doing. They installed the AC unit but that is all they did. It was not adjusted to meet the needs of your house." I also found out that the UV filter that AirTech installed in order to prevent mold, etc with the new AC unit was turned off!! As you can imagine I have been quite upset about all of this. The biggest reason I am upset is that the mold has put both of my babies at risk being exposed to mold blowing into their rooms! There is truly no monetary value that could fix this damage/harm to them. I am shocked that a company could install an AC unit without properly adjusting the settings for it to function correctly. As you know, buying an AC unit is incredibly expensive and you expect/trust that it will be installed correctly. I even remember when it was installed the guy who did it commenting on how noisy the AC unit was when it was blowing air but he did nothing to correct it other than manually tilt the return air filter grille slots. We have also paid for maintenance on our AC units as recommended every 6 months and have entrusted Air Tech with all 3 of our units. Each time Air Tech has come for maintenance, I have complained about how my daughter's room is colder than the rest of the house and no one has checked to make sure the system is running properly! Also the UV filter has been off as well and no one during maintenance checks noticed this! This is incredibly sloppy work which has cost us thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours (calling/meeting each consultant to address the issues and we are going to have to move out for the mold cleaning/remediation), and most importantly put the health of my family at risk. Lastly, this is not even the first issue we have had with Air Tech. They installed the wrong part in our garage apartment AC unit in the past year as well, costing us many hours of headache. They finally reimbursed us for this after I complained having to call multiple times to express my frustration with their negligence. I have yet to hear back about our current problem even though I have called multiple times over the past 2 weeks!Wish I could put 0/5 as a score for this company. They admitted that they incorrectly installed my AC unit (ie: did not balance it at all and left it on the original settings due to lack of experience) and then less than a year later we have spent thousands of dollars on mold remediation because of the bad install. Prior to beginning repairs, they said they would cover expenses and just email them the quotes. And NOW, after we have truly spent $20K+ dollars, they emailed to tell me on further review, we should submit claims with our insurance company. I am furious! And now, they won't call me back! Not only are they bad at their job, they also have zero integrity. Run away from this company. Run. We called them out after hours in a bind. Technician was there for 28 minutes and replaced a capacitor on my carrier AC. Exact capacitor could be ordered for $15.99 on Amazon. Technican was there for 28 minutes. Gouged for $500 for a $15 part installed. RUN AWAY

These guys repaired my AC and Furnace about 3 years ago. I thought they did a great job. Everything has worked fine. BUT.... I called them to look at my other unit that went out later. The tech came out of the attic shaking his head and said, "Sir it's shot. There's nothing that can be done. You need a full replacement." I asked, do you mean I need a new AC? And furnace? He said, "You need both." He drew up a price of about $9000. I'd already paid a little over $8000 for the new one which was working. I went 2 years without getting the other one replaced because I figured I couldn't pay the $9000 and others would give me a comparable price. About a week ago I had my buddy take a look at it. He came out of the attic, went to his truck and grabbed a $20 part and fixed my AC in 20 minutes. He told me that you can't trust these AC repair people and that it's rare that your AC and Furnace would ever go out at the same time. He charged me $100 and I gave him $300 just for saving me the $9000 I almost got cheated out of. The worst thing is that he told me "a panel was unscrewed on the unit and the rattling from the panel was probably what loosened the $20 part he had to replace. I think that's strange since Air Tech was the only company that had gone in my attic prior to this happening. Were they trying to set me up for a 2nd AC repair? Who knows. What's really bad is I'd also called in another AC company prior to calling my buddy who lives in another city. They also told me the same thing that Air Tech told me. That both my AC and Furnace were shot and it would cost me $12,000. I've done a review on them as well. My buddy told me that the AC industry is a money game. Some of these guys make a ton of money by lying to customers. Find someone honest and stick with them.

I rarely take the time to write reviews. That being said this one demands that I take the time to do so on Midnight on a Tuesday Night. Here is my journey with this horrible, unprofessional and sly AC Repair company. A few months ago, I had an issue with my AC. I googled the nearest AC company to me and that was introduction to AIRTECH Houston. After fixing the issue I had, they sold me up on a membership that allows me bi-annual check ups. Here is where the issues began. They came out again because my AC went out. During this visit, they told me that my AC motor had broken one of it's wings. Due to the fact that the wing was built into the motor, I had to pay 700 bucks to replace it with a new one. Even though I was skeptical on the analysis, I trusted them and paid to do so. 5 days after they left, my AC went out again. I called them and the tech that came out told me that the tech who had installed my motor did a bad job, and a panel fell off creating the issue. Before he left, I told him that the air in me downstairs bedroom- I have a 3 storey house- was not working. He tried to sell me on a new part that costs 700- an upsell from what I was previously told was 600. I complained that before they changed the motor, my downstairs AC was blowing perfectly. He went back into the attic and "somehow" was able to fix it. On the way out, he kept insisting that since my house was built in 2012, I would need to change my entire AC which he estimated would cost 18-20,000. After he left, 2 hours after, my AC started making extremely loud noises in the attic. Extremely loud. Please see attached video. It would not stop after we turned off the AC breaker. We had to turn off the furnace breaker for it to go off. I called the after hout service since when you buy their membership, you are supposed to have access to a 24 hour tech for emergencies. This was the worst customer service experience. It is clear that the answering service does NOT have a direct connection to the techs. We called multiple times in hours and they could only tell us that they sent a message and the tech had not responded. Do NOT pay for membership. Once they get the money you are on your own. If you look at their reviews, there are multiple complaints on issues that come up after their techs have been to your house for regular check ups. This is the honest truth. Since I signed with them, I have had more issues with my AC system than I did since 2012. That is just a fact. It may be a coincidence that after they leave my house for a repair, a new issue, worse than the previous one happens to pop up. Please look at their reviews to see the consistency. I am deeply disappointed in the service but mostly the issues that somehow come up after each tech visit. I am disappointed that after paying for a membership that allows me 24/7 calls, I received zero call back in an entire night from a company that prides itself on availability. Here is the thing. We are all intelligent consumers. Before you ever use these guys or apply for their membership. Look through their negative reviews. I can solemnly swear, from personal experience, there is great consistency and continuity in the negative outlook on customer service and most importantly, issues that somehow pop up after a tech visit from AIRTECH. There is zero consistency in the tech's knowledge from one to another. ZERO. From my perspective, it has been significantly factual. Please contact me directly for a direct testimony. WORST AC REPAIR COMPANY EVER!

We have been using AirTech for years, but I realized with our busy schedule last year that I had not called them out for our biannual (spring and fall) checkups, so I called and spoke to Taylor. Turns out I did not pay an invoice to renew our yearly checkups. Turns out they have a new preventive maintenance program called Shield Membership, so I signed up. The old price was $149 a year, and now it is $179.40, but with the increased price, they will wave service fees for any repair work you need done throughout the year. (Hopefully we won't need any!) Taylor answered the phone when I called and she was delightful. We got the new annual program rolling again and set up a time for our spring checkup. On the day of the visit, we received an email telling us who are technician would be as well as a photo of the tech. Zach showed up on time (within the window) along with Caleb, another tech. They were both polite, personable, respectful, and professional and got right to work. Both donned masks for COVID-19 and wore shoe coverings when entering the house. All went well, and we will see them again in the Fall.

We paid over $500 for service and the AC is still not performing. I had to pay a new company to come out, PROPERLY diagnose and PROPERLY, AFFORDABLY and ACCURATELY repair the unit. Now I am out half a grand for NOTHING that was necessary or needed regarding properly repairing my AC unit all because of inept and unethical business practices of Air Tech taking advantage of their customers.

Tech showed up in due time, was polite and professional. The visit was only $69; however, I expected her to find something that needed to be cleaned or replaced. She determined that a capacitor was dead and that my hard-start kit was compensating for it but would eventually fail if I didn't replace the capacitor. She charged me about $360 to replace the capacitor and $69 for the check-up. She pitched to me a U-V light that she said some other guy in the company would have to come install. As I became interested, she further pitched my getting an iwave-R ion generator instead, in my unit, to kill mold and remove other allergens. She told me it would be about $950. While she was changing the capacitor, I researched the iwave-R and found that I could get the part delivered to my door for about $450. I further read that it could be installed easily, in 15 min or less. I did the math and figured that $500/15 min came out to $2,000/hr. I determined that I could hire a lawyer to come out and install it for less. Instead, I declined both up-sells, will order the iwave-R online and have a licensed A/C guy living from the neighborhood install it for about $60. the manufacturer's warranty is valid as long as I have the name and valid license number of the tech on my receipt. I am afraid to ask someone how much the capacitor costs that was replaced. I've done business exclusively with Air-Tech since 2010. I don't feel like their the same company I often recommended to my Nextdoor neighborhood website after this visit.

We have been using AirTech of Houston for years. They kept our old AC going longer than it would have without them, and when it was time to replace the 3 and 1.5 ton units for our bungalow, they provided a good quote, didn't oversell, and have been keeping those units going for the past few years with winter and summer tune ups. Honest, good work, no drama, our go to AC people!
