The 60 year old soil stack (draining the 2nd floor toilet, sink and tub) developed a slow leak, leading to mold and raw sewage contaminating our kitchen. AFter tearing out walls and ceilings, having the leak stopped, and having an outside company (Apex) remediate the mold, it was time for plumbing. I got 3 bids; friends had recommended all 3 companies. Mario clearly knew what he was doing and did not try to 'sell' us a lot of extra work, like the other two. His was also the low bid at $2750. He and his crew were here when they said they would be, they got right to work, and the job was finished in 2 days--ahead of schedule. They installed a plastic 'curtain' so that the sheetrock dust wouldn't go everywhere. They also swept up and cleaned up their mess at the end of each work day. My only gripe was that they left the overhead kitchen light hanging at an angle the 1st night. But they fixed it the next morning. The cost was less than the original estimate. WE will have him back once we have cabinetry in place to do the final connections.
