My coils went out and another company recommended replacing all three units -- condenser, furnace, box coil and all the drip pans and other accessories (except the ductwork), since the units were about 10 years old. Called Affordable for a quote and they were much cheaper than the other company. They did the work in one day, answered all my questions and cleaned everything up. The only problem was they did not re-attach the outside unit to the security system, but when I called they came out the next day and fixed it.

We had Affordable install our A/C two years ago and were impressed with them. Had them come out to do an inspection this time--we had critters in our attic and were concerned they may have chewed wires, etc. The technician was friendly, on-time, and professional. He spent a good deal of time looking through the whole system and making sure it was running correctly. I'm used to companies coming out like this and they always find some kind of add-on to charge for. Not with Affordable. Everything was running well, he said, and suggested that maybe the coil would need to be cleaned soon, but not yet. He also asked if I had the $10 off coupon that had been sent in the mail, and when I didn't, got one from his truck and let me use it. He didn't have to do that, as I would have never known. That's just the kind of fair people that work for this company. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Able the service Tech was very professional and quickly found the issue with the compressor capacitor. The big problem I have is with the companies mark up on parts. The compressor capacitor is an item that can be purchased for $40 to $50 dollars. I was charged a whopping $225.00 on the capacitor (450% mark-up). Able did tell me up front of the cost and I was somewhat reluctant but at their mercy since I recently started home dialysis and it's impossible to move the machines at a whim (gets awfully hot in Pearland this time of year). Service charge was fair at $56.00.
I would not recommend (Affordable) to Sr citizens or people on tight budgets.

The condensor installation was amazingly quick. The service man was Abel and he had that installation process down to a fine art. He was on time, courteous and cleaned up after the job. The equipment has been operating without a hitch. I have used this company for 5 years (twice a year for annual a/c & furnance inspection/maintenance). They have also installed a new furnance for me - again outstanding service and value). Mike Stephens, owner, is honest, reliable and knows his craft. His employees reflect his business values.

I called & got an appointment for the next day. They gave me a 2-hour slot for the estimated arrival time. The technician called just before that time slot & arrived right on time. He checked the system & found no problems.

They determined that our compressor needed replaced. The compressor is under warranty and the owner said they would give us a discount on the labor. The owner was very responsive and professional. I feel very comfortable using him and would refer him to anyone.

Same day service. Friendly serviceman. Said there was no water damage, but small leak. Check up was $49.95 and charged additional $60 to refill 2 lbs of Freon.

Affordable is not affordable after all. Beware of their tricks and consider that companies like Weeks are actually cheaper with better service. The technician they sent was not really rude but was not courteous at all.

Initial service call was efficient and thorough. An estimate given before the serviceman left. Workers were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Unfortunately, they accidentally shutdown the upstairs air conditioning unit when they were repairing the downstairs unit. A single phone call was made and within 30 minutes the serviceman returned, found the problem, and fixed it.

The work that they did was great, whatever they did worked. My heater worked better than ever, once they were done. I was expecting this service call to be around $300 at least and they charged me under half that. I was very impressed and shocked at the same time, especially since, they replaced a part.

Arrived at the appointed time, and informed me up front of the cost to inspect each unit ($49.95). Tech was courteous and prompt. He added a total of five lbs of Freon ($25/lb) to the two units, and showed me the resulting air temp for each unit. After I wrote him a check, I realized that he had even given me one lb of Freon for free, as he put in five lbs, but only charged me for four.

Bought a new-to-me home. Mike did work on old address for 6 yr. (spring & fall). Looked at unit in new address and said he would try to help keep it going. After a lot of thought I decided old unit would fail at the worst possible time and got bids for new units. Mike was best and I knew his work. Mike and helper worked on Saturday for me. Install took all day. Old unit was way worse than Mike thought once we got a good look at it. Mike took great care with my home while they were working. They showed up on time and worked until the air conditioner was in and the heater almost finished. Found he was lacking a transition part needed because of the age of the home. Came back 3 days later at a time convenient for me and finished the heater install taking great care to be sure the roof was sealed around the vent. Tested heater and installed new return air vent. Took great care to clean up after job was done.

It was great! They gave me a 2 hour window for them to be there. They called about 20 or 30 minutes before they showed up to tell me they were on the way. The technician was very polite and got to work immediately. We just had new carpet installed in the house, so the tech put covers over his shoes to prevent dirt from getting on the carpet. He performed the work very quickly and informed me both of the units were performing efficiently. He answered all of my questions and I was very happy. And I have not found a better price anywhere! I highly recommend this company!

Mike is on time or calls to say he is running a bit late. He has worked in my home for the past 5 years. He takes great care not to recommend things that don't need to be done. He fixed the heater and recommended that I NOT replace it when I was wondering if I needed to. He was right there when I had a small problem with the A/C and did not charge me for the extra two times he came to check on it, on a weekend because he had worked on it the previous spring. He guarantees his work. All of this for $49.95 each Spring and each Fall. I absolutely recommend this business which is run by Mike and his wife.
