We contacted Advantage about a long-standing problem of insufficient cooling and heating in a back bedroom. We were considering replacement of our 18-year-old central system and the original duct work (1965). Keith Knight took a close look and said the system and the duct work were in good shape, and neither needed replacement. Instead, he proposed adding a new duct and a small return in the bedroom. He also told us about two add-ons to the HVAC system to kill mold and germs. We accepted his proposal, which in total was at least $10K less than what we had expected to pay. In other words, Advantage didn't take advantage of us. That sort of integrity is tough to find. The work solved the cooling problem completely, and the germicidal add-ons have made the entire house smell fresher. (In this era of covid, our house may even be healthier.) Excellent crew, too. They made a special trip to plan their work. As a result, all work was done in a single day. Can't say enough good about this company.

They respond quickly, explained options, costs and outcomes/warranties. Arrived on time and completed work efficiently and left the work area clean. I would definitely use them again.

The installation was scheduled the day after I called for service. The contractors were a little late arriving, but had the system running by the end of the day and came in on Sunday to finish up a couple minor items. They were very professional and the price was very competitive. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing HVAC services.

They were here when they said they would be. Went right to work and took pains to cover floors and not damage walls. They sang as they worked. Nice to see someone happy with their work. They finished in the time they said it would take and took the time to explain things to me if I had questions. They cleaned up after themselves and their boss Keith came back to make sure everything was done.

I can't say enough nice things about this service call.  I purchased a coupon deal through Angie's List in 2014, that had technically expired.  I told the owner, Keith, about my situation: old dead AC; expired coupon; and the contents of a storage unit recently added to my garage (where the attic access is), so no way to get to the condenser coils; and a house full of animals.
The technician arrived in less than 2 hours.  He was able to determine that my system needed to be charged, and charged it appropriately.  Woo hoo!!  Cool air!!  He called Keith, who agreed to honor my expired coupon, which gave me a huge discount towards the whole call cost.  
I am grateful beyond words.  Everyone from start to finish was professional, and helpful.  I will not hesitate to call them this winter when I am replacing this system.

Andrew and Ronnie were excellent service techs with a lot of knowledge and recommendations to share with me. They were very professional and I would not hesitate to have them back in my home. They both took time to answer my questions and provide me with important information about the current condition of my current HVAC, maintaining it, and upgrade options for the future (my system is 18 years old).

I bought 2 big deals on Angie's list for checking and tune up of 2 AC systems in my home. The technician came to my home on Thursday, 5/28/15 for the service. As a part of the deal, the technician had to check and make sure that the condensate drain pans on both the systems were clean and draining properly. He left that day after putting bleach tablets in the AC condensate trays. We went out of Houston the same day and returned back 2 days later to find one of the Condensate trays not draining properly and the condensate leaked on our ceiling and created a mess. I called up Advantage Mechanical on Monday to send someone to fix the problem. The technician who came in did fix up the problem but I was charged an additional Service fee of $80 and labor charges of 1.5 hours in addition to big deal charges I had already paid for.

I purchased two $69 coupons which included the tune up and up to two pounds freon.  Keith made the appointment and throughout the process was very responsive.  
Let me first say that everyone I dealt with was professional in every sense of the word, from being prompt, to respectful, to communicative, etc.
My first technician, Ben, came for the $69 service call.  He went through the usual diagnostics and added freon to both my units.  I ended up paying extra for more freon (which of course the markup is too much, but this a personal opinion as opposed a knock on Advantage since every a/c service charges a lot for R-22, with the excuse that it is being phased out, more expensive, yada, yada).  
The first service was fine, except that I am one of those unluckies where something breaks down right after the service call.  About four days after the first service, my A/C broke.  I never believed or was paranoid that it broke due to something the technician did.  It was just unlucky I think.  So I texted Keith back and he was very responsive and set something up quick.
My second technician was James.  Again very professional. James determined that the compressor had failed.  I was worried that this would be very expensive - and it turned out to be half true.  James called the a/c manufacturer and luckily the compressor was still under warranty (with two months left).  Unfortunately the part was back ordered for another week.  James said they would call around and see if another place has it.  They were able to get one two days later.  James did the install (third trip to my place) and everything went smoothly.  It was a flat charge was for the compressor change out.
All in all, I think Advantage did a great job.  

I've bought the deal from the Angie's list on Friday, schedule the appointment for next Monday. Ben showed up but couldn't get through the gate and had to wait for almost 20 min. Thank you for that. He was professional and knowledgeable. He determined that my Freon level was low and he could put extra to 2 pounds that were already included in the deal. He charged $35 per pound. He also made a recommendation for a new unit as there was a leak somewhere. All in all, I'm happy with the experience and will use them again.

Excellent service. I called late Tuesday afternoon and Keith scheduled us first thing Wednesday morning. The tech James arrived and did a very nice job servicing all3 units in less then an hour. Excellent job

They were very responsive, met with my tenant, tested the unit to make sure that it was the air handler, charged a very reasonable price and kept me informed of all the work they were doing.  They were prompt, professional, polite and did good work.  I highly recommend them.

We returned home in the afternoon after being out of town and our furnace was not working (the house was about 60 degrees).  We tried several providers on Angie's list, but only Advantage could come out that evening.  This turned out to be a real plus since they also had a coupon in effect.  The technician arrived when stated and fixed the problem which apparently was a poor connection in the furnace.  He also gave some advice about resetting the furnace, etc., that might be helpful in the future.  The total charge was for the coupon amount of $60 which was a bargain.  Thank you Advantage and Angie's List.
