Ac Direct

This review is in regards to my purchase of a Trane Heating AC System through a contractor Mr. Harper High, ACDirect, 3410 Deeds Road, Houston, Texas 77084. I became aware of AC Direct through a recommendation.I met with AC Direct in December and was told that if I wanted to lock in 2012 prices that if I paid him (on Dec 17, 2012) he would have the unit installed before the end of the year. After this I was faced with a long list of excuses why the unit had not been installed. I'm not in a position to judge the truthfulness of theseexcuses, however, considering that I had paid him $7300 up front, I was very concerned. He finally did appear and installed a new Trane System on 25 Jan 2013. On this date, I thought I was out of the woods. Before leaving my house, Mr. High verbally offered me a 10 year extended TraneWarranty that included parts and labor for $720. I agreed and wrote a check. I did receive a Trane Limited Warranty Registration #1633945 from AC Direct. I checked with him a week later about the extended warranty and he said he'd get right on it. I let it lay for another 2 weeks and then started bugging him in earnest. My last communication with him was on Monday 25Feb, when he told me he was meeting with Trane tomorrow (Tuesday 26Feb) morning. Since then he has not answered my phone calls or text messages. I spoke with the local Trane Distributor from where he purchases equipment, who under the circumstances and reviewing the evidence I sent them,decided they would cover the cost ofthe extended warranty. I have also filed a complaint with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
