A and M Hardscapes

I hired A&M Hardscapes to fix the lawns in the front and back of the house. The lawn in the backyard was dying because of standing rainwater. The lawn in the front was dying from the shade of live oak trees. We need to install drainage to get the water out and then replace the lawn. A&M hardscapes did the following work for us: 1) Replaced the lawn in the front of the house. This work was ok, but the lawn is dying in some spots, which I believe is because of soil was not being prepared well. They also trimmed the live oak trees. 2) Installed drainage in the backyard. This work is incomplete because the drain pipe doesn't extend to the fence. They left a gaping hole at the end of the drain pipe that not only makes the yard look ugly, but also creates a puddle when it rains (this could breed mosquitoes) 3) They installed a new flower bed in the back of the house. The flower bed is ok, but since it holds water, it's making my foundation move and crack the stucco. The stucco cracks cost at least $1200 to fix. So we need to remove the flower bed and replace it with a lawn. Since I asked for the flower bed, I am willing to pay to get it removed and replaced with the lawn. But it was also A&M's responsibility to warn me that it's not a good idea to put a flower bed next to the foundation of the house. 4) They replaced the damaged lawn in the backyard with Bermuda grass that looks different from the rest of the backyard. The lawn is extremely uneven because of inadequate soil preparation. The new lawn is also a full inch above the rest of the lawn in my backyard, making it look really ugly. We asked him to get more lawn and make the whole thing look even. We even offered to pay for the extra work. He said he would do it, but kept giving me the run around for a month. He has promised me several times over text that he would come and fix these issues, but he never came. I'm registering this complaint after I have exhausted all the options of getting the issue resolved amicably with Arturo. Please see screenshots of the text messages where he said he would come fix the above problems, but never showed up. When I complained, Art was extremely rude and yelled at me for being too cheap and not paying enough. In text messages, he said, "I only hired him because I thought he was cheap." He also said that I'm an Indian who is trying to take advantage of a Hispanic guy (I was shocked to hear that because I tried to be extremely nice to hardworking people and had already paid him every penny he asked for).

Terrific. I told Arturo what I needed done , he gave me a quote, did the work the next day. Cleaned everything up before leaving. I will definitely hire him to do routine garden maintenance again!!?

Husband and wife team. Super nice. Did landscaping cleanup and install new Hardscape and new seasonal color. Very competitive prices, fast and high quality work. They don’t take any shortcuts, and you can tell the difference. Plan to hire again for additional landscaping projects.

Arturo was very professional and kind , easy to talk to about my needs , even gave me some options. He did some outdoor garden work he had his crew come out and was none stop in getting it done and it was alot , all new grass, rock and pavers walk paths , some tree removal. It all looks amazing . I would most definitely recommend his work .

Very responsive and he would answer calls and questions, friendly too. The only problem was the product that he used was not worth it because it is very small flowers like it is not worth the cost.
