A-1 REMODELING SOLUTIONS

Albert Torres is the owner. This man is a crook. The job was to take 30 days. It was actually 90 days before the ordeal was over. At first there were plenty of workers. This was during the bathroom re-do. But then things changed. The only workers to show up were Albert, his son, and one other person and none of them knew what they were doing. Albert was constantly asking for pre-payments so he could "purchase the necessary supplies." One day we came home from work and our oak kitchen table had been used to hold their paint supplies, grout etc. It was ruined. We ended up having to replace it. After 90 days, only about 60% of the work was completed. We paid Albert the final payment up-front because he "couldn't buy the necessary supplies without it." That was the last time we saw him. There were several phone calls and emails with lots of excuses, but we never saw the remainder of the supplies (floor tile, paint, shower glass, etc, etc, etc) nor any installation. Albert demanded payment for the shower glass up front and kept telling us he had purchased the glass and he just needed to coordinate the installation. After he disappeared the glass company said they had never heard of him. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. We found out later that they have defrauded many others. A couple of weeks after he disappeared, Albert Torres called to say we still owed him money! He then filed a lien on our property. A law suit against him is pending. Bottom Line 90+ days instead of 30; damage to personal property; inferior work by unskilled laborers; constant headaches due to no one showing up; work not completed; lots of supplies never purchased. Fraud, Fraud, Fraud.
