Top Notch Tree Service of Texas

So, Brent Reneau, the owner, came out to bid the job on 3/03 and I was told he would cut one down to it branched out to 3 large branches and trim back 1 side on another tree. I was told he'd 'prob'ly' would be here on the 8th. It rained on the 8th & 9th so I figured he' be a day or 2 behind. I finally called on the eve. on the 11th after not hearing from him at all. I was told he might make it on Sunday but would call and let me know. They pulled up about noon on Sun (no call). and did'nt even have a ladder, as they planned on using mine . I did'nt mind but, it was starting to look like another 'fly by nighter'. I told him to put the branches and logs of to the side and showed the ground man where to put it. I was working on a floor project so did'nt think I should have to quit just to 'watch' them  They worked a couple hours, then left for a hour, then came back and rolled up and they were done for the day !  He said he'd 'prob'ly' be back on Mon. and would call and let me know. I needed to go to Lowes and get some mat'l so was waitin' on his call. Again, no call, they pull up at 10.30 so I had to put off gettin' mat'l as I was kinda leary of these 'fellers'. They worked for a couple hrs. and Brent knocked on the door and asked for some money down. I only gave him a check for $200 and they all (3) headed to Clute to cash it.  I then went out to check it out and was shocked (and p*****) at the job ! They had a 4 ft. high and 10 ft. wide pile of branches and logs all mixed up like 'pick-up-sticks ! All 3ft. off the back porch steps ! They had branches thrown on top of kids toys. fencing, just where they wanted to throw it. All of it is 8ft. from the tree , right in the walk path. I guess the spot I showed was too far for them as it was another whole 8ft. away ! It will take a week to straighted it out, so I asked Brent about it. He freaked out ! He thought I should'nt question his work and thought it looked fine !  He tried to scare me by getting right up in my face, so I just smiled and told I'm not paying any more as he still had another 6ft. to cut off 3 big branches. He got mad and stormed outa here so I was lucky to have pd.. down what I did.This guy has a too quick temper, and thinks too highly of his skills to be working out in public !
