R & M REMODELING

This company is contracted with Home Depot to do in house remodeling. I went to Home Depot to have built-ins put in my closet. I have a manufactured home. The company took the order and set up an appointment. After they called to talk wiht me I was told by the company that they are not licensed to work in manufactured homes. I went to Home Depot to tell them and Home Depot called them again and they agreed to come out. The company called me at 8:55 PM the night before the appointment and asked me questions about my home that were rather strange: is your house put together on a slab (manufactured homes are not); how many parts to the house (I said 2...it is double-wide), etc. After I answered, they said that they only work on manufactured homes that are permanently secured on cement and have 4 sections to it. I told them that they were talking about a slab built home and that most manufactured homes are 1 or 2 sections. I told them I was not stupid and that was how they were making me feel. I immediately was asked if I wanted to talk with a supervisor. I said no. I thought they called me minutes before Home Depot closed so I could not call them to report this. Obviously they did not come out and I would not have them out. How can a company contract with Home Depot and not work on manufactured homes? In the area I live, manufactured homes are in abundance. I was really upset with the way this company treated me. I did go to Home Depot the next day to report all this and Home Depot still did not understand it because, as they put it, a closet is a closet. I will use Home Depot again but I will ask them to contact some one else for any work I have done or use an outside contractor.
