They have installed exterior lighting, power vents on our roof, repaired/replaced exterior wood that was rotted, replaced damaged fascia and soffetts, and painted the exterior of our house. Barry's brother Bill installed a PlexiDor through-the-wall dog door; he and the rest of the crew appear to take pride in their work. They are all kind and respectful. I like and trust them all. Barry prepares the estimates and schedules the work. While the work was in progress Barry came by our house almost everyday to insure the timeliness and quality of the work. If I ask Barry a question that he doesn't know the answer to he doesn't blow smoke; instead he says he doesn't know but will find the answer and get back to me. I feel I can trust someone like that. "Rob and his team are truly amazing! They came in and efficiently installed a root block in our backyard on a Thursday. The following Tuesday they returned and installed a drainage system for our backyard with three catch basins and run off into the street. In the front yard they cut the grass into sod pieces before digging the trench and when finished replaced the grass making it almost imperceptible that they had done the job. Rob is an encyclopedia of information about trees and landscaping and he is always willing to share what he knows. I highly, highly recommend hiring him and his team (some of whom have been with him 16 years) He is honest, knowledgeable, and very fairly priced!"

"We had several issues that needed to be taken care of as a result of hard to find leak. I made many calls to various companies and handymen to try to get help without getting any satisfaction. I picked JY Handyman Services from Angie’s List and upon meeting Jose he assured me that he could address and fix our concerns. Jose worked on our home in late December and early January when we were having the really cold weather. He did some great trouble shooting, found and fixed the leak, did excellent carpentry, dry wall and painting. Jose and his crew have a great can do attitude and kept me informed throughout the project. I will continue to use JY Handyman Services and recommend them for all general home maintenance and remodeling needs."

"Roberto came to our home and took very detailed measurements and then provided an estimate the next day. The estimate included two options, granite or pre-fabricated granite and included tile work for the backsplash and plumbing work. We met with him that weekend to look at the granite and pre-fabricated granite. At the granite manufacturer, he showed us full granite slabs, not small pieces and gave us his ideas on ideal granite colors and they matched with our thoughts. We went to the pre-fab granite location next where we were able to see the quality and Roberto educated us on Installation of pre-fab granite. We have a very long master bath countertop (almost 7"), so we went the traditional granite route. We then went to see tile options where Roberto showed us travertine tile samples that would look good with our granite choice. We even looked at grout samples, so that we would be sure to have the right look. We asked him what to do about our sad looking master bathtub. Roberto suggested granite to replace the seat and windowsill cultured marble and also a sliding glass door. We took his advice and were very happy. Roberto's installers came a week later and made short work of removing our old countertops and installing the new ones. The work was incredible and the detail was precise. The granite fits close to the cabinets and the seams are almost impossible to see. The following day, the backsplash was installed and the plumbing work started. The tile work is gorgeous and was done with considerable care, no large clumps of grout where a small tile piece should be. The plumbing was immaculate...clean, neat work with no swearing or unnecessary banging. The plumber Roberto works with even installed a new disposal in our kitchen since our old one was no longer working. The shower door and grout rework were excellent as well. What a pleasant experience. An additional note about Roberto... We had a top mount sink installed in the kitchen, not knowing that the granite needed to be cut in place to do that. Some dust was created, but Roberto sent someone the next day to clean and came himself to check on the work and ask for suggestions on how to improve next time. We loved working with Roberto and will do so again.

"Absolutely delighted with their subcontracted installers. Professional, clean, helpful, respectful of my belongings. The Floor It Today salesperson, Sean, came out the first time and took very low measurements, thus making his price much lower than other bids we received. When this was pointed out, he came out, measured again, raised his price but didn't change his measurements. The third time, we measured ourselves, called Sean out to re-measure and finally got the numbers right. Our biggest fear was that he would short order on material, installation would begin and we would have to wait until additional material arrived. Very difficult to give a rating on this company as we were not so pleased with Floor It Today but cannot say enough good things about their installers"

"My kitchen sink wouldn't drain. Called up Genesis Plumbing Repair and they were clear on pricing and time they could show up. Once they arrived, it took maybe 10 minutes to clear out a grease clog 65ft out from my sink. They made it look easy peasy! They're also a 24 hour on call service, if you have a plumbing emergency! It's very nice to have that service so close, here in Porter. They'll definitely be my go-to in the future!"
