I have been extremely lucky to find Ed.  He is a one-man shop but extremely knowledgeable about his trade.  He has many years experience and i have learned a great deal working with him.  | |I engaged Ed last year to help me set up my A/V closet.  He was extremely professional and courteous.  In discussions, he was favorable to my proposal to assist him so that I could learn about my own system.  He is also very reasonable and transparent in his work and his business dealings.  Ed is not one to gouge you on hourly billing.  | |We began our project last year and it has continued slowly only because of my insistence to assist him throughout the project, but he has been extremely flexible with my schedule making time to swing by to work for a few hours at time when necessary.  | |Throughout the project I have purchased the majority of my equipment from Ed as his prices are reasonable and he is usually cheaper then any of the major retailers.  Although if you are able to find equipment cheaper, Ed is not insistent that you purchase your equipment from him.  | |Ed is the guy I will call for any A/V project I have in the future!  Reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable.  I highly recommend him for any project, large or small.

Ed worked around my schedule to complete the work. He completed the work in one full long day. Ed explained everything he did and labeled all the cables in the attic and prepared a diagram of the tv and stereo wires. He provided options and recommendations for the setup. He was also available for questions after he completed the work.

Auth Designs installed the entire audio/visual system in our new media room.  The room was an upstairs playroom that required a custom remodel job to turned it into a media room.  The remodel had to be completed prior to Ed being able to complete his work.  His customer service and attention to detail is second to none.  Ed even made a few trips out during various construction phases and spoke at length with our remodeling company to make sure that they did all the things necessary to make our media room a success.  
He answered all my questions about all the system components required and he built our media room with the future in mind - knowing that in the future Receivers, Blue Ray players, video game consoles, FiOS/satellite boxes,  etc. will be built with more and more data connectivity choices.  So, he installed extra data cabling, leaving us ready for new gadgets in the future.
Ed's pricing is extremely fair.  The great pricing was not just on the services, but on the huge TV and other hardware components as well.  We  have recommended Auth Design to our family and friends.

Used Angies List to find the installation company and reached Ed Auth.  Ed came by the house and we looked at the installation site and discussed possible problems and solutions.  After kicking around several ideas, we arrived at a plan and got the install done.  Ed was easy to work with and I'd gladly use his services again.

Ed has been doing work for us for over 8 years. Based on his experience, attention to detail, very  reasonable prices and availability, I would never consider using someone else. Ed has proven time and time again that he is the best at what  he does, no matter how large or small the project is. If anyone is considering using Ed for ANY of your audio/visual needs, you don't need to look any further. You definitely won't be disappointed.

They were great.  They were able to listen to what our set up was and what we needed.  We were doing this remote.  Through emailing photos and talking with my husband, he was able to figure out what the best product was for us.  He was able to provide great follow up service for us afterwards through setting it up, programming it and figuring out how to get the most use out of the product.

Our house was wired for dual-zone whole house audio, but lacked a receiver. All of the previous equipment was concentrated in an area of the house not easily accessible and that didn't really make any sense. We gathered three bids and found that Ed Auth was the most affordable, the most knowledgeable (he previously worked as an engineer), and the most patient with all of our questions. He did a truly wonderful job getting everything set up, took his time, and was great in following up to make sure that we were happy with everything.
A few months later, he installed an articulating HDTV mount in our living room, and we've been very pleased.
The only thing I'm disappointed about is that we're out of things for Ed to help us with right now! He is one of our favorite vendors that we've found through Angie's List. We've recommended him to a number of friends and will continue to do so.

As usual Ed was a great help, a pleasure to have in our home, and infinitely knowledgeable about our options. We highly recommend him to anyone who asks and actively refer Ed whenever the opportunity is presented.

Was very flexible with appointment time and very punctual.  First appt was to review needs, plan for parts etc and provide estimate.  As you are billed by the hour the planning session is necessary to eliminate any extra trips for parts and big surprises on estimate.  Very thorough with knowledge of code requirements.  Showed up as promised and delivered as promised and thoroughly cleaned up any messes caused by installation.  Would highly recommend.

Ed was great to work with.  He listened to what I needed and then explained in detail the work that would be done and how and where the speakers for the surround system would be installed.  He e-mailed be a detailed estimate the next day. He works by himself so the job took a couple of days, but he's extremely detail oriented which went a long way in my book.  I had a couple of problems with my TV that decided it would only transmit  video and not audio when streaming content.  He spent a couple of hours on the phone helping me trouble shoot the problem.

Ed did a great job. He was able to find hidden speaker wires in the ceilings and install speakers in 3 different rooms.  He spent half a day searching for the speaker wires at no charge.  He then mounted the tv, put in all kinds of speakers, and volume controls. We are still learning to use the remote but Ed has been very responsive when we have called with questions.  His price was much better than any other estimate we received.  Ed does all the work himself.

EXCELLENT!!!  If I could give Ed Auth an A+++ across the board, I would.  Ed ALWAYS does what he says he's going to do with impeccable attention to detail.  Since we've know Ed for the past 8 years, we continue to be impressed with his expertise, attention to detail and pricing.  His work is impeccable.

Responsive, reasonable, and helpful. Ed was very professional in his approach. He effectively communicated issues, discussed alternatives, and resolved according to my wishes.

Ed with Auth Designs did an outstanding job and at the price he quoted. He is extremely thorough and followed up with us after the installation. We have additional work to be done in our home and without hesitation I will be using Ed again. He also does new home construction wiring....I just wish I would have known this earlier!!! Auth Designs might not be the cheapest estimate you get but you will get exemplary service both before and after his work is completed.

Ed has installed two plasma TVs and speakers for us, both on the wall with cabling routed out of sight. Both turned out very nicely and we're happy with the results. I came to know Ed through referrals from others, and he does enough business this way that you can infer that his results speak for themselves. All of his customers that I know are professionals with gorgeous homes, Ed does top quality work on premium systems.
