They came promptly and did the estimate. We were pleased with the estimate. My husband was really concerned about the recessed lighting because he wants to put more insulation in the ceiling. My husband told me to ask them if the lights had the proper housing so we could install more insulation. I asked him directly and he said yes and when my husband came back they didn't. They are halogen lights. We wish he had told us that we could do more insulation but the people would have to build a protected box around each light. Everywhere on each box it says not for reconstruction. The insulation people would also have to remove the boxes when they were done because the heat cannot be trapped in there. It is true that he put in exactly what I wanted but I did ask him point blank about being able to put in the insulation over these and he said yes without any clarification. Ventilated air has to flow through them. Looking at my house it is exactly what I wanted but if I had known the downside of it, I would have opted for something different. Within a few minutes of them leaving, one of the lights turned off and I called him and he said he would come and look at it. He came in a couple of days and a little piece of insulation had fallen on one of them and they have an automatic switch that they will turn off if they get too hot. We told him our concerns and he said that he would talk to his supplier because he wanted to make it right with us but then we never heard back from him. I liked the way the lights turned out but we are going to have to redo them. It will cost 2-3 times as much to replace them because we have to have something that is protected. He should have known because he is the expert. He either misunderstood my question or he lied. He had described what he could do and it was exactly what I wanted. I just didn't know the right questions to ask and I asked him point blank. My husband was not pleased when he came home. One of the lights was sloppily done and there is a little crack so hopefully nothing will crawl in it. They had to do all the wiring so hopefully we can redo it ourselves. It will be a big job because there are 8 of them and they will cost about $100 each. Had he quoted me for the right kind of lights that we are going to need I might not have done the work. He didn't get back to me and I won't use him again. Their pricing for the labor seemed fair but we checked other places for the fixtures themselves and their price seemed exorbitant. He was late every time but he did call and tell me.

"I remember this conversation almost ver baton. I actually did tell you that these lights have to have 8 inches offers air around them( as per manufacturers specs) I am sorry if I did not state this either plain enough, or loud enough to be understood. I do need to point out that we pride ourselves with the level of service that we provide, and let each of our customers know that we can't give exact times for service calls. The preceding call may take longer (or shorter) than accounted for. As far as lying- we do not need to lie to make money. We hold ourselves to a slightly higher standard than what you are apparently used to dealing with. I grill make sure that in the future I am clearly understood with the options that are available to our customers Thank you for showing us that flaw that can be attended to, and we are sorry that we did not explain the situation in an easier to understand manner."

Martin showed up at 9 a.m. as promised! He was professional, friendly, and pleasant while he worked. He and his assistant were here about an hour. During that time he removed the old ceiling fan, installed a new one with light kit, globes and bulbs, made sure it functioned correctly and cleaned up the trash, including wiping down the counter and bar that was under the fan. He also gave me an estimate on some security lights, went up in my attic, and gave me useful information on the electrical work I want done next. I do believe this is the best experience I've had with a contractor! I'm definitely calling him for all the electrical jobs on my "home improvement" list! I'm a happy customer! Thank you, LiveWire Electric!

I had purchased 2 ceiling fans, had sparks and popping coming from wall sockets, and some sockets did not work as well as a couple were burned around where plugs are inserted. I filled out a questionaire online and within 1 hour, I received a call from LiveWire Electric... told them the problem and they were at my home within 2 hours because they considered it to be an emergency. The situation was accessed, gave me an estimate, and completed the installation of 2 ceiling fans, found the problem with the electricity, fix the burned sockets, fixed the sockets that didn't work in and outside, and fixed a socket that was loose in less than 2 hours. I will definitely use them again if we have any more electrical issues and do not mind referring them to friends.
