Excellent Service, Prices and Trustworthy! I’ve hired Tim Hogan for 5 separate homes (every time I move) over 16 years and they take great care of me. Being a single woman it’s most important to work with trusted companies and people. Tim Hogan is exceptional in all categories. I refer to my family and friends and highly recommend!

They are a very nice company but they were a little bit higher than what we wanted but we really liked the material. They were very nice and very helpful. They were responsive. They came out and we even went there and we priced the material. We had a certain budget and it was just too much for my budget so we decided to just keep looking around.

I went to their outlet site on a Thursday and picked out a carpet they had in stock.  I expressed that I would like the work to be completed quickly.  That Saturday, 3 installers came to install the carpet.  The finshed work looked great.  They cleaned up their mess and remnants and hauled the old carpet off.  Great Job!

We chose to go with a different provider.  The estimate amount was $23000.  The person that they sent out was very professional and very helpful.  The price was just way above what everyone else was offering.  It was just the labor cost.  They had indicated that they normally sourced the materials as well but we had already sourced our own materials.

I called them along with 2 other companies to meet me at a waterfront vacation home I am remodeling. I explained that we had decided on 2 things being a nylon heavy weight carpet and vinyl plank that looks like real weathered wood to match the interior new paint in greys and white colors. The salesperson; Sam  from Dalton was the only one out of the three cos. that showed up with color schemes in the range we wanted and carpet and vinyl plank samples as well. (one of the others; a big nationwide flooring w ads all over the TV did not even come with any plank samples and tried to sell me on ceramic tile wood apearing planks in horrible colors). He measured  the house and spent a good hour going over our options. He gave us the bid then and even got on the phone to the sales rep of the manufacturer to negotiate the price on the plank to meet my budgeted amount. We scheduled the work and they sent a crew for the vinyl plank that only does hard flooring and not carpet and likewise on the carpet as well. He even took our application for financing and got it approved for no interest for 12 months. they did a fantastic job. the hard flooring guys floated the concrete slab two or thee times in the living room to get the floor perfectly level which made them stay till 8:00 pm but they stayed till it was done!!!!. they beat everyone else's prices by as much as 4000.00 dollars. on one. they laid 1300 ft of vinyl planks and 2100 ft of carpet, and pad in two  days.

Awful, miserable, excruciating. I could have hired my neighbors 12 year olds to do a better job. The worst carpet installation job I have ever seen. We withheld payment for ten weeks before finally paying off the second half. George, at the Grapevine location, coordinated our purchase. He was rude to my wife, and wouldn't respond to our requests to come out to look at the installation job his crew had performed. Incredibly, six weeks after they botched the original two day installation, George sent a crew out after we canceled their visit two days earlier since we were not going to be home that day. His crew showed up at our doorstep and discovered that our cleaning person was inside. They convinced her to let them in - against our instructions, and without us even at home!!! It's difficult for me to even write this - just thinking about Tim Hogan's gets my blood boiling! Finally, and only after their home-invasion stunt, I convince George to make a visit before I contact the police to have them charged with trespassing. He must have realized that we were serious about this - he looked at one seam and the mislaid pattern and ordered another 800 square feet at his cost to fix a problem they created through poor planning and a total lack of supervision and quality control. Additionally almost every border with wood, tile and kickboards look terrible.

A man came out to measure my house for carpet. He assured me that the installers they used were professional, bonded, and insured who were not only installing my carpet, but moving extremely delicate items. I told him that this was the only real condition that I had for the install. When he informed me that I, "might want to move some of the delicate items" myself, I informed him that if the installers were not insured, bonded, and professional, I didn't want them in my house. He not only assured me that they were insured and bonded, he told me that they were guaranteed for two years. He took my credit card number, told me that half of the total would be charged in advance, and half when they installed the carpet. Only later on did I realize that he had charged me the whole price of the installation. At this point I reviewed the unsigned invoice, and noted that virtually everything the man had told me concerning the "insured", "bonded", "professional" installers was a complete lie. I also realized that they inserted, completely without informing the consumer, the right to charge a "restocking fee" of almost a thousand dollars. I contacted the store immediately, telling them that as far as I was concerned, not only had they baited and switched me, they also, without authorization, charged several thousand dollars to my credit card. The general manager, who told me he was the majority stockholder in the company, told me that they routinely charge the full amount of the purchase at the time of order, that I was making a mountain out of a molehill, that the better business bureau was not going to do anything about it, nor my credit card company, and that he would, charge, "whatever he needed to", because he had my credit card. I informed him that I was extremely unhappy with the bait and switch, was not informed of the restocking fee, and would take him to court if I had to. He said, "Either way, you're still paying the restocking fee". This is, as far as I am concerned, theft by deception, and if needs be I will treat it as such. That they charged me the full amount without my express authorization is also a form of theft.

Workers arrived promptly a little after 9am. Began removing carpeting, checking flooring for levelness and removing dust & dirt. I arrived home around noon to check on progress. Their truck was left blocking my driveway. The sign on the truck said Decatur Flooring. All their equipment and flooring boxes were scattered along the sidewalk leading up to the house. A table saw was on the ground next to the porch along with a microwave oven. I had to jump over their equipment and personal items to get in my door. They were sanding the floors and vacuuming 3 hours after starting and no flooring had begin. Flooring began to be laid around 12:30. The lead person left at 2:30 saying he needed to get some supplies from their shop. The other person did not speak English so we could not find where the lead guy was. At 5:15, I called Loren Martin to inquire as to where his lead guy was. He was surprised they were still working on the job and said he would find out where he was & let me know. My husband called him 45 minutes later and was told the contractor was back at the house. My husband informed him he was not at our home and when could we expect the work to be completed. Loren told my husband he should be there any time. He arrived back to my house at 6:30. He had been gone 4 hours. The remaining gentleman did not seem to know what he was doing & worked very slowly. Several times I had to go outside and remove wood, boxes, and tools from the flower beds and sidewalk where they had laid their equipment or wood. Shavings of wood were scattered everywhere. At 10:20PM, the floor was completed for the most part but we had had enough. One tack strip remained along with correcting the areas where the carpeting met the wood. It was left bulging and carpet fibers were scattered everywhere. To be fair, my husband told them he would put the tack strip down to get them out of our house.

GROUT LINES ARE NOT STRAIGHT. TILES ARE UNEVEN. TWO TILES ARE CHIPPED. AREAS ALONG THE BASEBOARD WERE GROUTED INSTEAD OF BEING CAULKED. GROUT IS DISCOLORED IN MANY AREAS. DID NOT FLUSH THE CARPET WITH THE EDGE OF THE TILE. THEY HAVE OFFERED TO CORRECT A FEW AREAS, BUT I KNOW IF THAT IS DONE, THE GROUT WILL NOT MATCH AND IT STILL WILL NOT CORRECT THE APPEARANCE OF UNEVEN TILES THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE.
Response from TIM HOGAN'S DALTON GEORGIA CARPET OUTLET

"After the member contacted us about concerns involving her ceramic tile installation, we sent Mr. George, the manager of our Grapervine store. The member showed Mr. George the problem areas and Mr. George said that they could replace or repair the areas. The member has refused to let us repaid her floor. Texas Law and the Uniform Commercial Code states that, contractors have the opportunity to make any necessary repairs. Mr. George has over 30 years of experience as a professional floors installer and that is why he ws sent to inspect the member's job. He was not "pawned off" on her as she states. Mr. George states that while he was inspecting the job, the member had a "freind" there who was doing most of the talking, and portrayed herself and the "expert." Our firm has been selling and installing floors since 1974, and has been at it's current location since 1984. If there are problems with any of our installations, we take care of them. If the member, or her friend, allows us to, we will take care of her problem. Anthony Brenner, Tim Hogan's Dalton GA, Carpet Outlet."

DURING THE BUYING PROCESS THE SALES MAN WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL. HOWEVER, DURING THE INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE, THE WORKERS WERE OFTEN LATE AND SOMETIMES DID NOT SHOW UP AT ALL ON THE DATES AGREED. THE SALESMAN AND MANAGER DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON PROMISES TO CORRECT MY COMPLAINTS AND 4 MONTHS LATER THEY STILL HAVE NOT CHECKED UP TO SEE IF I WAS SATISFIED.
