First off the job is done, mostly. Still have to fill in some voids in the grout but I won't let this company back in my house. Scheduling - absolutely terrible. Workers were rarely on time. After a major install issue did not coordinate a new day to show up. Just decided they would show up to the house without any precoordination. Very unprofessional. Price - reasonable. Quality - very average. The first tile install was a mess. Not level in any plane, just a mess. Randy agreed and took the first install down to redo. But then the tile wasn't available. Plumber they brought, though a "master" plumber did not have the tools required to complete the potfiller relocation. Not necessarily the plumbers fault as we were installing in a stainless steel panel over drywall. But, Roma should have provided the required tools to get the job done. Luckily I took the day off and did quite a bit of the work. Realized after he shut the wall the plumbing was not leak checked.

The work was excellent, the contractors that they used were top-notch, but their timing was very slow and the job was not completed in the time that they promised. But all in all I'm satisfied with the work.

In the end, the bathroom turned out beautiful and we were very pleased.  Getting there, however, was another story.

From the very beginning Randy, the owner, would tell us one thing but later turn out to be quite different. Starting with the price: after we picked out all the materials & design, the contract price turned out to be about $4K higher than the estimate he originally told us. He blamed us for the higher price because of the design & materials we picked, though it was his own in-house designer who came up with the design & picked out the accent pieces. I understand the design made it more expensive, but he should have just been upfront & honest as to what it could cost, rather than saying "it would never cost over a certain amount" (which it did). We felt like we couldn't trust what he said after that but decided to give him a chance.

Things didn't get better after that. He told us someone would show up every day at about the same time once the project started, but it turned out to be a different time every day. Some days we would be awakened early and other days no one would show up for several hours after the expected start time.  On two different occasions, I had taken off of work to be there and no one showed up at all. Had Randy told us ahead of time what was going on, we could have rearranged our schedules accordingly. It was extremely frustrating.

Additionally, his employees were constantly having to run to Home Depot or Lowe's to get the tools they needed to do the job. This wasted A LOT of time and seemed very unprofessional. And one of his employees was tasked with installing our new tub but apparently did not know anything about plumbing. He ended up hiring two different plumbers before the tub was finally installed.  At one point, he tried to blame it on us, saying that we had picked out a smaller tub than what had been in there before. But the place HE sent us to for the fixtures had only ONE tub in the size and style we needed. He said nothing beforehand about the size of tub. In fact, every time any type of problem arose, he would blame someone else for the problem, rather than taking responsibility himself.  The work also took roughly twice as long as he originally estimated (4 weeks). Some of that, though, was due to the Thanksgiving holiday and icy roads. Still, a lot of it was needlessly slowed down because of disorganization.

The quality of work overall was very good
, though the wall they built leans slightly and there are a few imperfections in the tile work, which is to be expected. There's also imperfections in the finishing of the granite counter tops. Despite that, we are thoroughly pleased with how it looks overall.

And there were GOOD THINGS about this company. One is that most of his workers were very courteous & trust-worthy. He also employs two in-house designers to help with your project. I really appreciated Andie's help in coming up with a beautiful design. We've received many compliments. Another positive is that Randy has a lot of experience and does really know his business. He also took the time initially to go with us to help pick out the granite & tile. One last positive is that he told us he guarantees his workmanship for 5 years -- though it wasn't stated on our contract. I guess we'll just have to trust him on that.

In conclusion, the only way I would ever recommend him to a friend is if he were to hire some kind of project manager to do all of his coordinating and communication. If he would do this, it would be a much more efficient company.

Their price was too much but I don't remember how much. I'm sure they sub contract out because they have all kinds of tiles. The man came out and told me where he was going to put the thing. In the putting it there, he put it somewhere else. Now that I?m trying to look for it, I can't find it. It is what I wanted it to be. I can find it still and it is at the other end. That's why I would to mark him down; because I agreed with him, how he was going to align and assign it and where it was supposed to be. It looks good. Normally you just can't tell it but I can. They did a pretty good job. I remember that their price was little bit high. They were pretty professional. If I need them I would use them in future.

I would use him on hardwood floors in a heartbeat, but he is so busy that he will tell me he is going to get something to me and won't. The work was amazing, but he never did give me a written estimate. I didn't know what the cost was going to be until I got through paying him. I kept telling him that I wanted it written down and that I knew that he would probably go over because of extras, but I needed something wrote down. I called him 3 or 4 times and couldn't get a written estimate. His work is outstanding. I would recommend his work to anyone as long as they don't care what the number is going to be. He doesn't cheat anyone or overcharge them, he just don't give the details.

Great! Roma is the place to go for high quality tile. As an artist, I wanted something a little different. I checked out all the tile companies in the area and Roma by far had the most interesting. The people there are cordial and helpful. Couldn't be better.

We had an excellent experience dealing with Roma Tile. Their sales manager Lou Ann and designer Samantha are very patient & knowledgeable. The tile came in as promised 4 working days after we ordered, and when I needed to add some additional tile to our order, as we mis-calculated our requirements, they expedited delivery of additional tile. This was very important, as the tile installers were on the job, and I didn't want to delay their completion.

Roma Tile was extremely helpful. When I selected a tile for my kitchen the salesperson, whose name I have sadly forgotten, made it a point to show me a similar tile that they had in the clearance room for less. I ordered some lovely glass tile for the shower and the salesperson was incredibly patient helping find a coordinating ceramic tile for the floor and walls. I will definitely return to them.
