***ALERT - Patrick Construction is not paying materials providers -  you could have a lien assessed on your property ***  Tentative downgrade to F pending resolution...
As of 9/18 I have received two notices from the concrete provider that they plan to put a mechanics lien on my home.  It seems Paul Patrick is not paying his bills to the concrete provider, so they're coming after me and others for payment.  After the first notice received 8/13, I called Paul and he did respond saying he'd take care of it that Friday.  I waited three weeks to verify since the concrete provider seemed a little quick on sending these notices out and Patrick still had time to settle his invoice with them.  Well, the day I followed up I found out he has still not settled his bill and I received another lien notice.  I paid Patrick Construction in full for the work, and I expected them to do the same with their suppliers and subcontractors.
I would not recommend anyone using Paul until he gets his finances straight.  It is looking like I'll be out another $580 to pay off the concrete company to prevent this lien on my home, despite having paid Patrick Construction in full for the job.  I'M VERY UPSET!!

I called Paul Patrick based on generally positive reviews.  His estimate was not the lowest, but was reasonable and I accepted him as the contractor as he seemed to know what he was talking about.
The project started and stopped a number of times, partly due to my request when heavy rains came through.  Other times, the crew showed up or didn't, seemingly on their own schedule - this was a little sketchy but I was okay with it it since I'm home most of the time and didn't care.  I was not in any rush.
Paul seems like a nice guy, but his crew could use some work.  After the tear-out, I found they buried a lot of the broken up concrete in soil that was moved (instead of removing and hauling it off), and they put grass that was dug up into my flower beds, which I had to go through and remove.
They put in a curve to the walk that I wanted, poured the concrete (after various delays, starts/stops), and added a little edge detail which was nice of them to do.  The outline could have been a little smoother, but its okay.  The concrete was stamped with a stone pattern and later stained.  However, the stain sealer bubbled under the hot sun and dried that way.  Paul sent someone to try and fix the bubbles - it helped some but there are still some "popped" bubbles that are dried into the sealer.
Overall for the job, I'd give it a B- or C+.  Paul seemed like a good guy and was responsive to questions and inquiries, so overall a B.

Crew showed up exactly when scheduled and did an exceptional job. Cost was exactly as quoted and they cleaned up everything when they left. All company's should perform as well!

Paul and his crew came in the day he said they would and did a fantastic job.  He was not the cheapest estimate or the highest, but without a doubt we made the right choice using Patrick Construction!  Thursday they removed all old concrete, set forms and rebar.  Friday morning 6am they came back finished their prep work long before the inspector showed up.  Three hours after we passed inspection they poured.  Paul is such a nice guy and his crew could not have been harder working, friendlier or more professional!!  They answered all of our dumb questions and handled all concerns immediately.  Thanks Paul!  Tell your guys thanks as well, we really enjoyed them and love their work.

It was a really solid experience. They were subcontracted through another company but they came out as scheduled and did a great job. I do not remember the cost of the service because my wife has the paperwork. It was not cheap but it was reasonable.

When I called Paul for an appointment to give an estimate, he was punctual and very informative.  He had lots of good ideas and worked with me to create the design I wanted and to choose colors and patterns.  I chose Paul because of his knowledge, pricing, and professionalism.  The work was started on schedule, but we did have some delays that were due to weather.  Something not in his control.  Since I was not at home while the work was being done, Paul kept in contact with me by phone so I would always know what was going on.  We did run into a couple of hiccups, but any issues were addressed immediately and to my satisfaction.  I have gotten so many compliments on the new patio from both friends and other people working at the house.  GREAT JOB!!

Paul Patrick did an outstanding job at an outstanding price, and delivers a beautiful product.  He listened to what we wanted and gave great advice, and the actual results are great.  Hi crews are professional and frankly went out of their way to keep disruption to a minimum and keep the place clean.  Best of all, Paul always kept us informed and did what he said, when he said.  We are very happy with the work.
