He showed up as promised but said he would have to come back when the weather was cooler, as he had to get into the attic to run wires. He came back a few days later and never set foot in the attic one time. I think it was just a delay tactic. I hired him to rewire a ceiling fan in my living room that had a remote control. I wanted it wired direct. He told me that my ceiling fan was burned up and had me go to Home Depot to buy a new one while he waited at my house. He installed the new ceiling fan and wired a small wall sconce in a wall for me. While he was waiting for me to return from Home Depot, he replaced four light bulbs in my living room with the new flouresent kind (which I provided). He was at my house for almost half a day and charged me $627.00. His bill included $25.00 each for replacing the light bulbs! A few days later my neighbor, who is a handyman, came over and looked at my original ceiling fan and told me there was nothing wrong with it and installed it in another room of my home. It is running perfectly. I don't know why I ever paid this individual for this work. I could just kick myself for being taken in by him. He cashed my check as soon as he left my house and I'll bet he was laughing the whole time!
Description of Work: I have used Mike in the past and thought he was reasonable and honest. All that changed with the last service call. I hired him to do a simple ceiling fan wiring repair, and install a wall sconce. He told me my ceiling fan was burned up (which is wasn't), and had me go to Home Depot to buy a new one while he waited. He installed the new ceiling fan and wired my wall for the new sconce and charged me $627.00! Part of his bill was charging $25.00 each for replacing light bulbs (which I provided). I believe I have been ripped off big time! I would not recommend him to anybody and I certainly will not call him back again!
