Project went very well. Tom kept us in the loop each step of the way.

Hartsell did an excellent job replacing our pool liner....They replaced the liner that they put in over 15 years ago. So this is the second liner that they have put in for us. The fact that the first liner lasted 15 years with no wrinkles says a lot about the quality of the installation of the product by Hartsell. I hope this new liners last 15 years too. They came out on a Thursday night drained the pool and has the new one in by Friday afternoon. The pool was up and running by Sunday with no problems. It looks amazing.

From bid to completion, Tom Hartsell and his crews were timely, courteous, and got the work done just as promised. Also cleaned up our back yard when each phase of the work was done. The after care option we chose was also such a blessing. Aqua Medic called us to let us know they were coming each time, brushed the plaster in the entire pool, checked all the chemicals until the new pool water was as it should be. Also sent email to let us know about their services and what would be happening. Thank you Tom Hartsell.

He came out promptly and gave us the requested estimates and brochures. We are taking care of some other projects and advised that we would get back to him ... probably in the Fall... depends upon getting other projects completed.

This provider had provided excellent service in the past but this time has not performed to our expectations. We understand that things come up but no call back and no rescheduling is very frustrating for us since we had such good service from this company in the past.

I requested bids from 5 pool renovation companies and Mr. Hartsell was the first to call back to set appointment. I pick him because of his reviews and bid. Mr Hartsell brought samples of tile for us to pick from the day we accepted his bid. Within a few days they started draining the pool at 8:00 AM and the stone crew started working removing the old tile & flag stone immediately. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. The second day the stone crew replaced all the tile and set all the flag stone coping. They did an excellent job. In a couple of days a crew came and prepped the plaster area of the pool. The next morning the plaster crew came and plastered the pool. Started refilling pool that afternoon. All of the crews were very friendly and professional. They were constantly cleaning up after themselves. The pool looks fantastic. I would recommend Hartsell Pool Renovations to anyone who needs their type of services.

Hartsell Pools did an outstanding job. Very easy to work with, started earlier than expected, and completed right on time. The work crew (James), were extremely professional, polite and very informative during the entire process. I was updated as needed on the progress of my renovation, and all questions were answered and all issues were handled without incident. Excellent price for this large of a job and I would highly recommend Hartsell Pools. This was a stress free home repair, and I am thankful that I selected Hartsell Pools for this job. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and I would not hesitate to use Hartsell Pools in the future if the need arises.

Tom recognized that our main concern was the algae problem and some tiles that were broken on the spillover wall of the spa and the general discoloration of the pool and tile itself. He realized we were believing that having the pool re plastered would cure the algae problems. He observed that we were not just feeling the need for remodeling the pool at this time. He assessed the situation accurately and told us he felt we really had 2 or 3 more years of life in the current pool surface and that the plaster really had nothing to do with the algae problem. He then gave us good counsel on a better pool maintenance regimen to keep on top of the algae situation. We then struck a deal for acid washing the entire pool and existing tile, replacing the tiles on top of the spillover wall to spa with a coordinating solid color, completely redoing the mastic joint around the coping edge, and replacing the yellowed eyeball fixtures through which the water recirculates. This was Saturday and the work was done on the following Monday.. The two employees that came to do the work were father and son and knew what they were doing. The work was done well and we are very pleased. But what we are most pleased about is the honesty of Tom Hartsell, which is rare to find under the category of in home sales pertaining to home improvement. He gave up the opportunity of a larger job now for the benefit of building a customer relationship based on honesty and trust and the possibility of referrals even before we have him re surface our own pool in the future. Tom Hartsell bent over backwards to accomplish the repairs before Memorial Day. He always personally answered my telephone calls and/or emails. He is very knowledgeable and accomplished exactly what we needed. I enjoyed working with him and would highly recommend him.

Tom Hartsell and his crew did an excellent job. I received 3 quotes and Tom's came in the best price. He was recommended by a long-time friend of mine that has been in the pool business for 25 years. I was not disappointed. The crews arrived within a reasonable time frame based on the estimate. Rain and weather contributed to the uncertainty of the exact day. The work was performed in a professional manner and the crews worked quickly and cleaned up thoroughly after the work was completed. When completed, the invoice reflected the agreed upon price with no cost overruns or changes. The pool looks beautiful and we are enjoying it this summer!

I was nervous about having major pool work done, since this was not my area of expertise. We received several bids and committed to Hartsell Pool Renovations, LLC. Tom Hartsell, the owner, came out himself to look at our pool and make the initial bid. He is very professional and courteous, he took the time to explain the multistep process of pool renovation and what options were available in various price categories. Tom is informative and knowledgeable about all facets of the pool industry and was helpful, but not overbearing as we proceeded through the decision process. Tom is honest and will offer his opinion if you ask when you are making decisions about what should be done. Tom and his staff are absolutely true to their word and their work is exemplary. They finished ahead of schedule and the pool was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Tom was on site everyday of the process, not matter they type of work that was being done. I highly recommend Hartsell Pools if you are considering any type of pool work and have successfully recommended them to neighbors who have had the same outstanding results I have. The greatest endorsement I can give is that Hartsell Pools is a company with integrity and operates with ethics, both of which are scarce these days.

Fair and complete estimate. Showed up on time. Great crew. Had problems with the plaster mix from the manufacturer that caused hydration stains (spots) on the sides of the pool. Tom Hartsell, the owner came over personally and inspected. He sent a crew over to drain the pool, treat the hydration stains and refill the pool. The hydration stains lighted up in color, but did not go away. Mr. Hartsell sent a crew over again to drain the pool, treat each spot with a torch enough to draw the trapped moisture of the the pool services, then refill the pool. Each time Hartsell refilled the pool, they provided all the chemicals and salt to replace what was lost from draining. Tom Harsell is an honest businessman. He understood that on rare occassions, the manufacturer of the plaster has a bad batch. Mr. Hartsell stood by his work and made everything right. I would use him again and again.

Great, professional team did a quality job. Showed up when they said they would and did the work they said they would do.

The salt system went on the fritz about 4 months ago and stopped working completely 2 months ago. We contacted them and they came and diagnosed it as a faulty motherboard and covered under warranty. Well, it's been 2 months and they have not fixed it yet. I contacted Tom on the phone after my wife leaving several messages and was told that the warranty company was giving him the run around. That is not my problem, a non-working system installed by them is my problem. I suggested that he replace the system and he refused. As such I have no choice but to have another service replace the salt system and seek damages in court agaist this company.

I have never been so impressed with all aspects of such a massive undertaking.

Mr. Hartsell was very professional at the start of our renovation (thus the ratings). We recieved an estimate in a timely manner and ended up signing the contract with Mr. Hartsell for our project. The job began well at the start and we were impressed with the time it took for the demolition phase of the project. During the demolition phase of the renovation we had heavy rains that washed out some of the foundation of the decking of the pool into the pool. This was brought to Mr. Hartsells attention who indicated he thought this would be no problem, it is yet to see what problems may occur in the future with the sidewalk. Upon completion of our renovation we were very happy until the grout began to stain very badly. I sent photos and contacted Mr. Hartsell who came out to clean the staining that never came completly out. Since then grout we notified Mr. Hartsell by e-mail of cracking grout and in some areas the tile grout coming completely off. This, of course is something that I do not expect of a project that has recently been renovated. I have notified Mr. Hartsell of this and have recieved several e-mails indicating that he would be out to take care of it. Since then Mr.Hartsell has continued to avoid responding to my attempts to contact him and obviously has no intention of backing up his work. This is despite the fact that we notified Mr Hartsell of the problem well within the product and workmanship warranty period. Hartsell Pools did an amazing job and completed the work under the time quoted and exceeded my expectations! Mr. Hartsell was personally involved and checked on the progress daily. The pool turned out BETTER than I expected and his price was 2k less than any other estimate. My parents also used him for their pool and they were also thrilled by the work and service. They really know what they are doing! I asked for references and he met me one morning and drove me around to look at other pools in the area. His customers even came out of their houses to meet me and show off the great work he has done for them. I wish every contractor put this much pride into the work.
