I would not hire them again, Jason showed up on time the first and diagnosed the problem with my washer being a control board issue, after sending him the money it would sometimes be weeks before hearing a response from them, and when I did hear back it was always something else a part was missing that they needed, or couldn?t figure out what was wrong with the washer after several visits and almost 2 months of going back and forth, Jason and someone else diagnosed my washer as not being repairable, after all ready paying for the parts and labor, and just trying to get my washer fixed, Jason said he would work on getting a partial refund back and everytime I call it goes straight to voicemail with no response back, after weeks of calling, avoid this repair service at all costs, it was a total headache and not worth the time or effort put into it. I would rate 0 stars if I could. Total scam.

The original date of service was around April 8th, 2025. Affordable Appliance Repair (AAR) came out and replaced the mother board and some other part on my Maytag washer that was just 1 year and 1 week old when I stopped working. After he replaced the motherboard, when I went to wash a load the washer was not working and flashing the same sequence of light. I called AAR and let him know. He said he thought is was the pump. On July 17th I received word that a new that a new pump was ordered. Sometime there after that he came out and replaced the pump and leveled the washer. About an hour after he "repaired' my Maytag is wan't working again. I called him to let him know. He said he thought it was the motherboard again and was going to contact Whirpool who owens Maytag and have then pay for a new motherboard. It was 7and a half weeks between the last "repair" and AAR coming out to replace the motherboard again. He once again said it was repaired. When I moved th3 dial to perform a. normal wash, the Maytag washer immediately flashed the same error sequence. He still has not fixed the washer. Although the AAR repair mechanic is a very pleasant person, over this this 5 month ordeal, he has been non-communicative and does not seem to know what he is doing. I realized that after the first "repair" he was only testing the washer by applying a rise and drain cycle to get the stagnant water out of the washer. He was not testing the washing cycle. Over a 7 and a half week period, I called him 4 times to try and get some information about my washer. AAR has been consistently non-commutative not returning calls or texts. One of the two "business numbers" never answers. It is not unusual to call and receive an automated message the the number you are calling has not set up email or have a GOOGLE automation answer asking you to record your name and brief reason for call to see if the recipient is available. Sometimes the number just rings - no messages, and if you are lucky you might get ahold of someone or be able to leave a voicemail that will not re returned. Embarrassingly, I recommended AAR to a friend back in May and she has since had to buy a new washing machine this month after the motor blew from an AAR repair and still hasn't had her dishwasher fixed after months.

Contacted by provider through Angi App on July 14, 2025 and scheduled for the same day. Can t remember name of gentleman that came to the house. Repair was for an ice maker that was no longer working on Whirlpool refrigerator as well as some internal led lights that were not working either. The technician said he needed to order the parts for the ice maker and a led light pack. He gave a quote of $581.14 for the parts and installation. Told me I had to pay for the parts upfront which was $468.64 and the remaining $112.50 would need to be paid upon completion of the work. I agreed and wanted to pay with a credit card and he said they weren t taking credit cards at the moment because their accounts had been compromised. I wrote a check on that day CK#1167 that was cashed on July 15th. He told me parts should be in by that Wednesday or Friday of that same week and he would contact me when they were in. I never heard back from him so I contacted him by phone on July 21st to check on status of parts. He told me the ice maker part was in but the LED pack was coming from China and would take longer and he would again call me when it came in. Never received a call and I called him on 7/30. He told me he would check. He checked while I was on the phone and he say the part was in Florida waiting to be cleared by Customs. Again he said he would call me when it came in. Again silence. I called him on 8/20 and he checked again and said the part was in Oklahoma. He said he would check on when it would be delivered to him and he would call me back after he did a repair at a customers house that he was currently at and update me. No phone call that day. I called again on 8/22 and this time he didn t answer and I left a message asking for a call back and update. As of today, 8/25 I have not gotten a call back. This is unacceptable and frustrating as a consumer who used Angi to recommend a service provider for a repair. I ve used Angi in the past and had great experiences until now.

Secretary called me within just a few minutes of my Angi request. Techs were out within two hours. Did a great job and were very professional. Highly recommend.

Jason replaced the temperature probe on 05/27/25 to correct the F3 error code in the oven display. Tested the oven for 10 minutes or so and it appeared that the problem was fixed. Paid him $303.24 for parts and labor. My wife used the oven a couple of weeks later and the error code reappeared after 30 minutes or so. Contacted Jason and he came back on 4/17/25 and replaced the probe again. My wife used the oven 04/18/25 and the F3 error code appeared again after 30 minutes or so. (The oven shuts down when the F3 error codes appears and is not usable.) Contacted Jason and Affordable Appliance Repair 7 times via chat, text and phone call and they are not responding.

Got on the app to find a person to fix my ice machine in my refrigerator the guy comes May 2 at 6:30 pm. He replaces my motor in my ice machine told me to wait 24 hrs for it to start working and he said if it doesn t please call him back to fix it and it has a two year warranty on it. The next day it still wasn t working so I called him to come fix it and he came over to replace it stating that it was a old broken one that he put in last time than he repeated the same thing wait 24 hr and call him if it s not working. I did the same thing and it still wasn t working and I can t hear the motor working at all. So I call him Tuesday May 6 to come repair it and he said he will be there Thursday s between 10 am to 1 pm. He no shows me and doesn t call me. So I called him several times and texted to also left voicemails and he hasn t returned any of my messages.

Made an appointment to have my washer looked at and fixed. Man came to my home and said he needed to order parts, and he'd be back on that following Monday to install. Never called or showed up. I had to call and message them to find out what was going on. After calling several times, they informed me that the part wasn't going to be delivered for another 4 days, and when they got the part, they'd let me know. Again, I had to track them down. They came out to my home when I was at work, but my sitter was there. They didn't fix anything, and I've never heard from them again.

Timely response, excellent service. Diagnosed the problem. Gave me an estimate for repair. I elected not to repair due to age of appliance and cost to repair. I received an invoice for the cost to repair even though I am not having that done. I asked for a copy of the invoice for the paid. service charge but have not received that.

I called them and explained what was going on with my fridge and they were here the next day with the part I needed and made the repair very quickly.
