2. I also asked about my bill because it went up and I wasnt getting AARP discount or Angie's List discount. I was told that because I had been a customer of Brinks I was not eligible for the discounts.
3. I asked about the lower prices being advertised on TV and was told those were not available to me either.
4. My payments were being electronically withdrawn from my bank accts. YET they did not show up or posted on the bills.
5. I called last fall and spoke to Ken who said he would give me a credit while researching the matter. Gave him the dates that payments cleared the banks. He never called back.
6. I waited a few months and called again. The person I spoke to advised me that I had to furnish front and back copies of the checks. I went to the bank and was told that could not be done. The bank never sees the check and I would never get a copy either because of the electronic withdrawal of payments.
7. I called ADT again and was told by Gloria that I had been transfered to Collections and would not be able to resolve my issues with her.
8. She transfered me to Michelle in Collections. Michelle said have bank fax copies of records from May 2014 to May 2015 to 904-564-5240 to her attention and Greg Woods. She said there was more than one Michelle and she was only one working for Greg. She would research payment history and get back to me. Private banker at Chase faxed records and put my name and phone number on it for return call. Never heard from them again.
9. Next bill came and was even bigger balance than before.
10. I called again and spoke to another guy, Keith who said he was sending Greg and email and Greg would call me. Never happened! He also told me to refax records that Michelle asked for to Research at 877-238-3307. Faxed on 8-12-15 at Office Depot and got confirmation.
11. Then I called and was told it would take a few days to research. I hung up and got a Robo call recorded message that said I would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours with the results of the research.
12. NEVER heard from them until I got another bill with a huge balance and no credit for EDF payments. I called and requested an Audit copy so I could see where my payments lined up with Bank records from my Banks.
13. I spoke with Gloria and asked her where my payments for March thru July had gone. That I mailed them each month but they did not appear to be processed. They did not come back in the mail. I was told that when your account is in collections your payments are sent to another area and they handle them. I asked if I could speak with them. I got transfered to a recording and after 25 minutes I gave up.
14. I feel someone is playing games.
15. Our neighborhood assoc had a guy from ADT come and speak after several break ins and he told us we could get a group rate. Even those of us who were original customers. Never could get that either.
Service is due to be cut off Sept 2. I am disabled and almost 70 yrs old. I am not in good health and this has stressed me out badly. My husband had 3 heart attacks and not able to work. We would pay the bill if they will show us the audit and how our payments were applied. I am tired of being bullied and games being played with the payments I have mailed in the last few months. When you withdraw the money electronically from my banks and it is not applied to my account that is fraud. It is handled by a government agency. These people talk over you and you can not make them understand. I want an audit to compare to my bank records.
I originally was with Brinks and when they sold out to ADT my service was never interrupted.
They also refused to give us any credit for the service they billed us for regrdless of the fact that there was no transmission. If we had been buglarized - there would have been no call to the police! The rep told us it was not ADT's responsibility to inform us that we had no transmission, that it was our responsibility. So, we are switching services! Buyer beware
