Smelt like they had been drinking or they drank a lot the night before and were sweating it out. They had an attitude from the start and complained every minute... especially the foreman. Moving at a snails pace, they were careless, damaging several things. They wanted to do their own thing and wouldn't listen to anything we wanted. I talked to the owner (a few times) about a badly broke desk (with pictures)... he never did anything about it. These guys that were sent out were week (their arms were as big around as my thumb) & barely useful... no way were they firefighters... if they were I wouldn't want them to save me.

The crew arrived ok, but the job foreman was rude straight out of the gate. We were moving item from one house in S. Arlington, then picking up all remaining items from a house in FTW to our final destination in Keller. We chose this order of pick up in an effort to be efficient with time/traffic, moving from South to North. Crew was not very professional in appearance (ie not uniformed, instead each wore individual clothes with pants hanging down with underwear showing) or timely in their process. One guy seemed to move along ok, but the others dragged along. Again, the foreman was rude and seemed bothered by my process. I'm sure it would make them more money to simply drive all over the metroplex, but that is NOT my plan. They arrived at our FTW location to keep loading the truck. They were not very motivated nor particular not to run into walls or doors as they hit both while moving our items which left knicks/gashes and scratches along their path. Foreman didn't offer any comments or apologies when these issues were pointed out. I phoned the owner during the drive from FTW to Keller to ask what their process was for damages and what concessions would be made. I was told he would talk with foreman. When we arrived to Keller, foreman was noticeably bothered and asked me with an attitude, and quot;what has been damaged?and quot; I repeated my earlier comments to him then simply asked him to finish the move and we would discuss at the end. Again, movers moved at turtle pace and lacked further care and caution. They scratched, chipped and knicked at both pick up locations and locations in our new home. When pointed out to foreman, he simply stated, and quot;that's not a big deal, or I can fix thatand quot;. No, certainly a little chip here or there is not a big deal but to fix it is still a problem and hassle to me. Plaster each chip then paint and hope it matches without making spots along the way. They took apart and put some furniture together. Work was careless and I had to spend more time babysitting them to make sure all the screws were not lost and items were done correctly instead of doing other things. Overall, they were careless about what they were moving or putting together. Didn't move with a purpose, which again would have made them more money since they charge by the hour. Would not recommend or use this company again in the future. Although things may happen with any company, when something does happen, customer service skills should be forefront. Skills that were not displayed by this company. It's quite simple, you make a mistake then make it right. Skills such as follow up and proper communication are important.

The movers showed up on time and worked 6 1/2 hours straight with little more than water and restroom breaks. They were very curtious, professional and extremely hard workers. Everything arrived safely, nothing broken. I would use them again if I were to have another local move. A recommendation to folks thinking of moving, allow enough time to box up your stuff several days prior to the move and sort through it so you can toss or donalte the things you'll never use again. It will save space on the truck and time and room at the new location, not to mention the labor.
Description of Work: We moved to a new home A Blaze Firefighter Moving hauled out "stuff" from the old house to the new house. Prior to their arrival we boxed and set out most of the stuff be moved. We had enough to fill a 26" truck twice.

The day after we moved I discovered that 2 items had been damaged. A queen-size box spring mattress, which had been in perfect condition until the move, had been ripped on one side, and the thick plastic shields that had protected two corners had been almost completely ripped off. The cloth shade of a nice brass lamp also looked like it had been handled by someone with very dirty hands. The mattress is basically unrepairable, and I had to have the shade professionally cleaned. I called ABLAZE's owner and told him about the damage. He asked what I wanted him to do about it. I told him that he had said before the move that they had insurance to cover damaged items. He said that well, yes, but that this damage wasn't the movers' fault. He totally gave me the run-around on every point I made to him. I had moved once before (using Firefighter Movers), and NOTHING was damaged. The ABLAZE guy told me that I should expect damage when I move.
Description of Work: They moved my household items (which included no major appliances) from a second-floor apartment to a second-floor condominium. The residences were approximately five miles apart. ABLAZE provided two male movers and a truck.

The customer agreed to pack all items and we do the moving. The items in question were not packed in boxes as agreed to. The lamp shade would not be dirty if it had been put in a box as agreed to and the mattress would not have the minor damage described if it had been put in a mattress box or bag. Any items not packed properly cannot be the fault of the mover when the customer agreed to pack the items and didn't.

Hired these guys to unload a 20' u-haul truck for me. They showed up on-time and did a superb and quick job! Very reasonable pricing, courteous, and knew what they were doing. Will definitely recommend to everyone I know. Kudos!
