1st Call Restoration

We called 1st Call Restoration early one morning when our house flooded.  They were there shortly after the water receded and the roads were accessible.  They very quickly began the process of removing the remaining water as well as damaged floors, walls and cabinets.  They helped us gather our damaged belongings (clothes, shoes, photos, etc.) so that we could sort them and determine whether to keep or discard.  
In addition to all the water remediation work, they were extremely helpful providing essential information for our insurance claim and working with the insurance adjuster to help ensure that our claim was complete and accurate.  This allowed us to move much more quickly through the claims process, be compensated fairly for our loss, and receive payments within a reasonable timeframe.
Once we completed the water remediation, demolition work, and filed our insurance claim, we needed to find a contractor to work with us on the reconstruction.   1st Call was our first choice.  They worked with us to repair structural damage; replace flooring throughout the house; sand, texture and paint all walls; replace all trim and interior doors; design and install all new cabinetry in the kitchen and baths; rebuild showers and plumbing; replace water-exposed electrical outlets; replace appliances; and relocate the HVAC system and ductwork from under the house to the attic.  The quality of the work was excellent and the project was completed within a reasonable timeframe.  My 1965 house looks awesome and sparkles like a new house!  
Because we had never been through a flood or never needed a water restoration company, we really had no idea who to call.  There were a lot of other homes flooded at the same time and the best I could do with other larger companies was get on their waiting list.  Admittedly, finding 1st Call was more luck than the result of thoughtful research.  We didn't have time for that.  But, we could not have found any better partner to work with us either on the initial clean up or the reconstruction of our home.  It would be great if I never had a need for water remediation work in the future, but if I do, I would definitely call 1st Call Restoration.
