First it took him 5 days to tow it from Wal-Mart parking lot and he blamed it on the tow truck company . .
Then after three weeks he still could not figure out why my car was starving for fuel after changing three fuel pumps and several other items so I finally had to pick my car up, because I could no longer afford his guessing game or anymore car rental fees .
While I was taking my car to different mechanic it broke down on the Hwy so I had to have it towed myself (they were there in 30 min.) to another mechanic, this shop had it figured out within 30 minutes... The new shop noticed that Charlie Brown Garage NEVER changed the fuel filter, which is always done when changing a fuel pump on a car with over 75,000 miles.
Now my car had to have another new fuel pump because the clogged Fuel filter (a $60 part) burned up my fuel pump $350 part..
I than returned the bad fuel pump to Charlie Browns Garage to get at least the $350 back on the bad fuel pump.
After a little arguing with the owner , saying that I should have towed it back to him the 50 miles to honor his warranty he finally agreed that it was his fault , for not changing the fuel filter and would try to get my money back from supplier of the fuel pump. Thank God because I didn't have three more weeks to let him try to figure out what was wrong.
After a few days Charlie Brown Garage said the supplier would refund me my money because the supplier told them that it was a bad fuel pump even though it was his fault he had to have lied to the supplier instead of refunding my money back himself.
Three more weeks have gone by and now he (Charlie Brown Garage) says the pump supplier has refunded the money to him and the owner has told me the "Money" is in his bank account. And he will give it back to me soon as possible but for the last 2 weeks he is either not returning my calls, or he is too busy to go to the bank, or he is out of town and will call when he returns..
It has been a month now and he still has my money that he has received back from the supplier for the fuel pump that I paid for. I guess its time to file papers to go to court.
This one fuel pump and filter has turned into a $2800 nightmare with two mechanic fees and two tows and rental cars for over a month.
