SHARP TUB & TILE

Perfect! Phil Sharp totally remodeled our bathtub area, and completed a new shower install. He found light mold, and cleaned everything behind the Sheetrock. He cleaned and treated the studs. The work was professional and meticulous. Phil had a key to our house, and we trusted him completely! He was like a family member. His work was spectacular!

I called several contractors, some from Angie's List, who were priced ridiculously high. Was Phil the least expensive? No - he's not cheap, but if you're wanting a high quality job, he's super reasonable. Phil is a master at his craft. The one word I would use to describe him is "meticulous." He thought of every detail and put so much time and effort into making our bathroom tile perfect. He made sure that everything was leveled correctly, sealed correctly, angled correctly, etc. He re-did the entire bathroom floor, he re-did a large walk in shower with customized niches, and he built a beautiful deck for our new drop in tub. He worked closely with the plumber to ensure that we did not encounter any calamities along the way. He is a super smart guy who knows what he's doing. He takes his time and gets it right the first time. And on top of everything, he's a likable person. If he can fit you into his schedule, consider yourself lucky. You won't regret it.

We were very pleased with the craftsmanship done on our guest bathroom remodel. Per our request, Phil Sharp and his assistant gutted our guest bathroom and then tiled the floor, replaced the tub and tiled the tub surround. Phil is very detail oriented and precise, and he proved to be a very knowledgeable problem solver. He does honest work for an honest price. We look forward to using his expertise in the future.

This is the second time that I've used Phil and he always does a great job. The first job was tiling around our fireplace. He's very meticulous and thorough. He really thinks the design through before he starts.
I don't know how his price compares to others because I did not get another estimate.
Would definitely use him again.

Phil is a precise and picky worker. He takes great care and pride in his work. He offers suggestions and choices as situations arise.
After the tile was laid, the shower glass contractor came to remeasure for the shower door. He let out a whistle and said, your tile man did a great job! I can tell he used one of these--pointing to his level.

Great work and reasonable cost

Called phil to see when he could come out and give me a quote for my bathroom he came out the very next day and he was there when he said he would. He gave me a quote on the spot which I thought was very fair. We scheduled a day for him to start and he was very prompt. Phil did a great job I'm very pleased with his work.. Very detailed orientated. He built the shower nich for the shampoo bottles as well. The lay out of the tile you couldn't asked for a better job then what Phil did. Also the grout job he did as well was perfect. When Phil stepped way from the project it was show room quality . You ask if i would hire him again? Absolutely. Our master bath remodel was a huge project, but we had confidence that Phil Sharp was the man for the job. It's the second tile job he's done for us, and he did a fabulous job.
We totally gutted our shower, down to the studs. Phil spent days preparing the structure, making sure all the walls were sturdy and straight. He also drilled out the previous drain and worked with the plumber to move the drain to the center of the floor. Then he carefully installed the Wedi board waterproof substructure and sealed them well to prevent any moisture from penetrating through the seams. He made us a custom shower seat and made sure that it and the floor were angled down toward the drain so water wouldn't pool and give mold a chance to grow.
Phil also had a very careful eye to the best arrangement of the tile. He centered the tiles as much as possible while making made sure that he didn't end up with narrow slivers or small pieces of tile. He planned before he started, and if he was unsure what we'd prefer, he asked us what we wanted before he went ahead.
Phil never rushes through his work, because he wants it done right, which is exactly what we want. He takes his time, and the results absolutely show his attention to detail. The next time we have tile to replace, we will be sure to have Phil work his magic again.

Phil Sharp does excellent work and does it all himself. He removed our existing bathroom floor, toilet, and shower enclosure. In addition to installing the new tile, he installed a new shower fixture and toilet and did some repair work on the tub. He worked with us to come up with a new design and tile recommendation. Phil is meticulous about what he does to ensure that the job is done right. He doesn't work rapidly just to get your job out of the way but takes his time and even redoes something if he feels it isn't perfect. He will provide names of other excellent contractors for other facets of the remodel if asked. This is the second time he has done work for us and we have been very pleased with his work.

He was very knowledgeable about the subject matter. He was fine to work with for the quote. I ended up using somebody else but I would get another quote from him.

These are some of the most professional people I've ever dealth with. They were courteous, on time (called when they were running 15 minutes behind), on target with their estimate, and did EVEYTHING they said they would, and then some. To say that a bathtub is beautiful might sound like an exaggeration, but when Jim Sharp got through that that 1955 chipped, peeling, cracked tub and surrounding tile, it looked brand new. I would recommend these people (and I have already) to everyone.

He was fabulous. He was meticulous about everything he did. He was perfect with everything. He saw that nothing got messed up. I might not use him again in future because he actually handles larger projects and my bathroom is a smaller one.

During the process of updating our kitchen, the last "big" thing to do was install backsplashes. After finding the exact backsplash (an unusual pattern) that we wanted in a model home, we were able to locate the tiles we wanted to use after calling the design center of those model homes. All we needed was someone to install it. Angie's List provided several good prospects, and we were able to choose someone who was relatively close to our area and had a good report. Phil Sharp came to our home to look the situation over and give us an estimate. (Later, he gave us a written estimate, too.) Even though he was booked ahead a month or so, he was able to schedule our small (two day) job relatively quickly, inbetween two other larger jobs, which we greatly appreciated. At our request, Phil took the time to visit the model home where we had found the tile and pattern we liked. He not only went to see it, he also took a picture so we could talk about the corners and edges to fit our particular kitchen. We were happy to order, pay for and pick-up the tile ourselves while Phil was finishing up the job he was on, so that he could accomodate us in his schedule. On his first day, Phil came and began work in our kitchen. He was careful to protect our new cabinets and countertop, which we really appreciated. At one point in setting the tile, we were faced with a decision of which way to do a particular thing. Phil volunteered to take down all the tiles he had just placed, so as to put up the other way of doing it. After going through the second tile setting, we both agreed that the first way was the best, and, bless him, Phil patiently and good-naturedly changed it back. He finished the tile setting the first day and came back the second day to fill in the grout. He did excellent work, and our backsplashes look wonderful!!! We are thrilled!!! He gave us good advice about certain aspects and choices. He was careful, worked hard, cleaned up after his work, and was friendly and very professional in every way. If we should have any tile work to do in the future, we would not hestitate to call him again. And we definitely feel confident in recommending him to you now. Note: We paid $450.00 plus the cost of the tile and grout, and it was definitely worth it!

EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE TILE AND GRANITE. THE JOB REQUIRED CUTTING DIAMOND SHAPES FROM EXTRA GRANITE AND WORKING IT INTO THE TILE IN A PATTERN. THE JOB TOOK A FEW DAYS AND HE WAS VERY COOPERATIVE ABOUT THE SCHEDULING. HE HAD A SECOND HELPER ONE DAY, BUT DID THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK HIMSELF. HE WAS VERY GOOD ABOUT ASKING HOW I WANTED THINGS AND POINTING OUT DIFFERENT OPTIONS. OVERALL, IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE.
