About the retaining walls: Most all of the cities no longer permit rail road ties or landscape timbers to be used as retaining walls. We offer affordable masonry replacement walls. We don't build any wooden (railroad tie) retaining walls as they are no longer permitted in most cities these days. We do masonry retaining walls from either decorative concrete blocks or natural stone.

I cannot speak to the quality of work because we never got there. After signing a contract in early May, I was given a start date of 6/22. A few days before, I was told it would be another week. After that week, I was delayed another week, and after that week, I was delayed another week. This happened two more times before I finally gave up asked for my money back. I do understand that COVID-19 has greatly affected the availability of workers, supplies, etc. However, this should have been factored in to the original start date rather than string me along from week to week six times. I honestly did not believe them the final time they told me I was "so close" to being "next" on the schedule. Luckily I was able to get my deposit money back and I have hired another contractor.
Description of Work: Retaining wall replacement, fence post resets, leveling of concrete slabs.

ANGIE'S LIST REPONSE: ... Ms, [Member Name Removed]...I have replied to you on Google and now here on Angie's List. So, it seems like you are determined to ruin the reputation of a company that has never even worked for you, much less collected a downpayment for doing the work. You financed the project on our 12 month same as program..Yes. No money out of pocket for you on this job, you were just released from the loan! Our main drawback for not starting your project on time was the fact that the pandemic has created material and labor shortages, to mention a few in our industry .. Given the circumstances, most people would rather wait for a reputable company, like ours (of 20 years that has a near perfect rating on Home Advisor) to start the job then take their chances of using someone with less experience to do your retaining wall, of all important things..The wall that protects the foundation of your property! .A retaining wall has to be done with expertise, or it will fail as we see so often when people hire unqualified contractors. Unfortunately, we are seeing customers that have hired others only to either get ripped off of their down payment or have the job COMPLETELY abandoned. As in many construction situations where there is extremely heavy demand, unqualified rip off artists come out of the woodwork. We hope you are not one of those people that become victimized by those types, Ms [Member Name Removed]. Most sensible people would rather hold out, be patience and wait for the job to be done right.. AGAIN, we never worked for you, much less took any of your cash money as a downpayment! You financed the project and were released from the loan when you decided to cancel. We sincerely hope that you have a good experience with whomever you choose to build your retaining wall. He came in and looked it over and gave me an estimate and time line - everything went as planned. He had to do some extra work to make sure everything was level.

It was great. They were really hard working, on time, and stayed until the job was done.
Description of Work: They trimmed up the front landscaping around the house. They trimmed up three trees for me as well.

They did a really god job and they were really prompt. They were priced within range of everyone else, but they were able to deliver quicker.

I loved them. He came out, looked at what I wanted to do, looked at my input, and his work exceeded what I expected it to look like when it was finished. I wanted a wall that looked like it'd been there for a long time so he took the time to pick out appropriate stones. It looks like it's been here for 40-50 years. No one could even compare to the price he gave me. We've already got three more jobs lined up to have him back.

We were very happy with the process. They were able to finish the project before the estimate they gave.
