They stole $100,000 from me and never finished my project.

My advice would be never hire this company, but that is no longer possible. MerLux declared bankruptcy and ceased operations as of late Nov 2022. This is not a surprise. They left over 70 customers in the lurch. Our small pool project took 11 months and it was a painful experience from start to finish. When they went out of business, our pool still needed to be plastered and we had paid them in full. We had to hire a plastering company for an additional $6500 to plaster, fill and provide start up services. MerLux knew how to build pools our end product is good work. But they had no idea how to run a business or treat their clients. We had five project managers over the course of our project, and only the first one knew what he was doing. And even I am out the pool automated robot to clean the pool so an additional amount of money we have lost.

Under contract on 22, the dig was March 14, and still did not commit to dates for completion. I get all the excuses, but the way I have been treated and talked to by the owners is unacceptable. They gladly took my last big installment the first week of June knowing that they did not have the pool equipment and according to them back ordered, but did not inform me of that until late July. This is poor management at its finest. I hope they come through for me and finish this year, but I want to warn others to stay away. This has been one of the most miserable and mentally challenging experiences I have ever gone through. And you will see when they comment on this review what I mean by how they treat their customers. They still have yet to give me a date of completion.

Please do not ever use this pool company. Unfortunately, we did not see the negative experience others have had before we started our project 8 months ago that is still not complete even though they made us pay in full. They said they could not schedule the final stages until it was paid which we ended up paying back in May and it is still not finished. They told us in the first initial meeting that they could match the decking that they would do for us to our existing patio. They had a company come and do the concrete but never had them come back to do the stain. After months of waiting and asking when it would be done, they had their employees come and do it and they applied it using the wrong process and did the wrong color. They will not fix it to match our existing patio unless we pay an additional out of pocket expense of a quoted price of $3500. We have asked them to just refund us that portion of the money so that we can find a company that will do the job to our satisfaction, and who is competent in the process and the owner Ryan refuses. This is after months of him ignoring my phone calls and communication through their co-construct app. I have text messages that prove the continued lies that the employees told us to cover up their incompetence and mistakes that have continued to delay this project and all I get are defensive and unprofessional responses. Please do not make the same mistake we did. Stay far away from this company. If you saw the pictures of our decking, you would be appalled!

We have held off and held off posting any review and gave one more chance and 20 more chances and we are continually disappointed. We signed a contract with this new and promising company in September 2021. The dig started in January 2022. Today we were promised the concrete deck would be poured but no one showed and no one has reached out. Take your money elsewhere.

We have always wished for a pool in our backyard to use throughout the summer. I called them, and we were astonished by the pool's quality. The work was completed on schedule and, more importantly, it was done well, producing a stunning and long-lasting outcome. Whenever I get the chance, I love to show off my pool!

They helped me figure out exactly what I wanted and then made it happen. My pool is perfect for me and my family and friends.

I have had my pool for a few years now and every year it looks better and better. I attribute that to the great service I received from MerLux pool. They are prompt, friendly and always do a great job. I highly recommend them!
