Took my car in to have the brakes checked because it seemed that it had been a long time since I had previously had a brake job. They called me to inform me that the brakes were fine all the way around. However, they told me that I needed a new A/C hose assembly and all new engine mounts. Two of the engine mounts had just been replaced by Eagle Transmission on March 6, 2015 (less than three months ago). Therefore I suspect somebody is lying. Either Eagle Transmission didn't replace the mounts or Driver's Edge was trying to sell me something I didn't actually need. Regardless, I declined the engine mount replacements.
This Driver's Edge location has a lot of turnover and the District Manager told me that it is because it is their training location. Based on this experience and the info provided by the District Manager, I'm not sure if I would recommend Driver's Edge.
The A/C hose assembly (evaporator tube) was GM part #10445946 which they charged me $143.21 for. This ACDelco part retails for about $60 at most GM dealerships. So, they more than a 100% markup on parts (especially after you consider that they purchase parts wholesale, not retail).
