DFW Shed built a really nice Barnyard shed for my home in Grapevine. Very happy with the result. They did the job on time, and kept me updated with issues that came up from City Permitting.

Really great company with very competitive pricing. I used them to build an 80 sqft lean-to and am very satisfied with the results so far. The pricing was not that much more expensive than the pre-fab companies like "Tuff Shed", but the worksmanship is infinitely better. Kevin will visit your house to help you envisage what's possible. He is very familiar with local city codes (your HOA CC&Rs may differ, of course). There were no bothersome follow-up sales calls. The team works with your schedule and doesn't seem to bombard you with spam because they trust in their work/reputation. Build was over in one day. Painting was over in a few hours. Kevin kept me up to date on everything as it was happening, and their on-site team was very professional and knowledgeable. I only had to pick out the paint, and the rest easily fell into place. Thanks, team, for your great work!

Kevin was always punctual and professional; he has a lot of experience building sheds in many areas of the metroplex. He proved himself to be very knowledgeable and clearly & patiently laid out all of our shed options and the price differences for each. Ultimately, we ended up doing an addition to our house instead - I only wish that contractor had been as professional as Kevin! Anyway, we would not hesitate to contact Kevin if we need a shed in the future. We drove over and viewed a shed he built (reference he provided), which looked amazing.

We recently contracted with DFW Shed Co. to build an 8 x 12 barn style shed for us in our backyard.  We had an existing shed that was nearly 20 years old, was on blocks but was no longer level and the floor was rotting out.  We were looking for a one-stop shed builder who could tear down and haul away our existing shed, pour a concrete slab for the new shed and then install the new shed.  We liked the idea of having the new shed built on site because we did not have to take down part of our fence to move in an already built shed.

DFW Shed Co. was able to take care of all our needs.  We gave Kevin a desired start date and he organized the various crews to start our project on the requested date and finish everything in just one week.  The guys who tore down and hauled away the old shed did a great job.  They cleaned up everything and it was all gone in a day.  They also did the concrete work the next day which exceeded our expectations.

Per our schedule, the concrete cured for several days before the building crew arrived and had our building complete in one day.  This crew also did a great job and cleaned up everything in the yard and on our driveway before they left.

The same guys who did the concrete work and old building tear down came back to caulk and paint.  We couldn’t be happier with the finished shed.

Kevin stayed in touch with us throughout the project making sure we were satisfied as things progressed and even stopping by to check the concrete slab before the building crew arrived.  Again, this entire project and everyone involved exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend DFW Shed Co.

I was recently widowed and was insecure in securing a deal for a new shed. Kevin presented to me in writing all that was included in the deal. There were no surprises and I am totally satisfied with my new shed. I would absolutely recommend DFW Shed?Company.

Overall, Kevin and his crews did a great job of constructing my new garage. I have occupied the garage for about a month now and have been impressed with the quality of work. As with any construction project, there were challenges and a few hiccups, but Kevin's response to some of the unforeseen circumstances showed that he is a true professional who takes a good deal of pride in his work. A few of my general impressions of the work: DRIVEWAY & FOUNDATION: the subcontractor (The Concrete Construction Company) did an acceptable job, but took some shortcuts that wound up costing me. Specifically, they created a large cut on my neighbor's property line while grading the site and poured the driveway without retaining the soil on the property line. I had to spend an extra $750 to build a small retaining wall that could have easily been built at a lower cost if they weren't in such a hurry to pour the concrete. Kevin offered to pay for the wall due to his sub's mistake, which was very generous of him, but ultimately I would up paying (he made it up to me later). Some of the concrete reinforcing that they placed was questionable as well. GARAGE STRUCTURE: Kevin's framers did a great job with the garage. Both the framing on the interior and siding on the exterior look excellent. During inspections, the City of Dallas forced Kevin to put up sheetrock on the interior of the garage, which we had not planned on. Kevin covered this cost for me, which was very much appreciated. PAINTING: the painters did an excellent job; however, I paid Kevin $1000 to have the garage painted, only to find out after I signed the contract that I was responsible for buying the paint (about $250). Since it was early in the project, I did not complain about it. But, after looking through Kevin's bid and his website, I did not see anything that said I was responsible for purchasing paint. In the context of the project, it was a minor expense. ELECTRICAL: this took a bit longer than expected, but ultimately I believe that the job was done very well. WARRANTY ITEMS: after I paid Kevin final, I noticed a few very minor problems (small leak, minor electrical problem). Kevin took care of these within a day. SUMMARY: the contract for this work was about $27k, and I wound up spending about $1k extra on unforeseen items. I had budgeted for about 5% contingency, so my project came in within budget. I consider this a successful project and would not hesitate to recommend Kevin.

Kevin was friendly, courteous and very helpful with planning and placement of my shed. The building crew was also friendly and professional. They built it in one day and cleaned up like they hadn't even been here. The painter came a couple of days later and was also friendly and professional. The shed looks great and I am very, very pleased with the overall result!!!

I purchased a 10 x 16 shed for my father. The pricing was easily accessed on their website so I new in advance of setting an appointment that the services were within my budgeted amount.  Kevin came out to visit with me and my father on a Saturday to determine the construction specifics and location for the shed.  He was very professional and knowledgeable.  My father has worked in construction for over 50 years and was very impressed.  The workers arrived as scheduled and completed the job very fast.  My father is very happy with the shed and impressed with how well it is built.

Construction specifics:  DFW Shed uses a welded steel floor frame / foundation with 2? thick cinder blocks underneath and shim it with shingles to make the foundation level. The use heavy-duty ¾? plywood flooring. The walls are framed with 2? x 4? pine, 16 inches on-center. The siding is Smartside?, which is an engineered wood siding with a manufacturer?s limited 50 yr. warranty. The door has welded steel door frame with stainless steel hinges welded.  The shed includes a 6? overhang on the front and a 4? overhang on the sides and back. The shed just roofed just like a house with steel roof edge, 15# felt paper, and 25 Yr. composite shingle

Very pleased with the process and the quality of the work. While they are just a little bit higher than what you would get thru Tough Shed or Home Depot, it is all built on site with quality products.    Very happy with final outcome and would do it again.  While they get a "B" on price, I do believe you get what you pay for.  I had concrete slab, added good siding, 30 year shingles, eaves, a window, and interior shelves.   I would use them again.  If you are just looking for a cheap shed their base starts out much lower, but I was planning on not moving, and have a pool, so quality and eye appeal were important. No pressure on sales.

We looked at several shed building companies before we picked DFW Shed and decided to go with them because of the door.  They use a metal door secured to a metal frame which makes any sagging issues non-existent.  Our shed was installed last year and I have waited this long to write a review to see how it held up.  It is fantastic!  The area in our yard where the shed was installed is sloping, which they addressed easily with concrete footers.  The construction is solid, the paint job is perfect, and the look has enhanced our yard.  We could not be more pleased and would highly recommend DFW Shed.

I needed to replace my old backyard shed and began looking at sheds on the internet. After checking on the web and investigating some of the better known sheds which I also saw advertised on TV, I realized that almost all of these were pre-constructed ? ready to be loaded onto a truck and dropped off into your back yard. This may be OK if you either have an open backyard or you were willing to spend quite a bit of money to have a section of your fence removed and replaced after the building was delivered.

In addition, I also found that many manufactured buildings used 24? on-center studs -- some of which were not even full dimension 2x4?s. Almost all were built on wooden skids which served as the base foundation for the building.  As my last building failed due to ground settlement and I didn?t want to invest in a footed slab, I kept looking for a more substantial building.

I finally found the solution, DFW Shed Co. After going over their web site, I found the perfect way to replace my old shed. First, they construct the shed on-site ? which is ?Stick-Built? not a ?Pre-Fab?. Then, instead of wooden skids as a base platform, DFW Shed constructs a custom welded steel frame which is used as the substructure for the building. The largest advantage to this is the fact that we have soil subsidence in the Plano/Dallas area ?as do many other areas in Texas, and the steel base allows for future leveling without twisting or warping as you would find in most wooden based structures.

Next, they use a steel frame unit for the door jam and doors ? with this you will never have to worry about your doors warping or becoming misaligned over the years. Also, they provide both a knob lock as well as a dead bolt which is placed into the steel frame of the door.

And, best of all, you don?t have to fill out a form to have someone come out to provide an estimate for your project, all you have to do is go to their pages on price and upgrades and you will find a complete menu of prices listed. So, without having to bother with submitting your name, phone number, address, etc. you can put together your own estimate and be assured that no one will pressure you or constantly call you.

If you want a quality, well-constructed, competitively priced building then I fully recommend going to dfwshedco.com where you will find the perfect fit for your needs.

We just had DFW Shed build an 18? x 12? Orchard and were extremely impressed with Kevin, the owner and his crew.  They were on-time, efficient, fast and professional. Ours was constructed in one day.  What more can we say?

The  double doors are one piece all steel. Far better than Tuff Shed or any other shed we've seen.
Walls are 16" on center.  Floor frame is all metal & they leveled the building.
In & out in 2 days.  Cleaned up everything perfectly.

Kevin came out to price the work the day I called, had a firm quote in writing before he left.  Crew came out a week later to the day and erected the shed.  Not sure it could have gone better and this is a very well built shed.  Even without the options these sheds are significantly more substantial than many of the alternatives.  Most notably they sit on a steel welded ladder type frame, this was the only vendor I contacted that provided this feature, some would provide a metal frame but it was formed from light gage metal framing, DFW shed uses steel that is much thicker and the foundation seems significantly more substantial as a result.  2x4 framing on 16" centers and the tubular metal door frame are also details in the base price that are above the norm and I feel add to the value and longevity of the assembly .  The door frame was fab'd on site which speaks to fact that the crew has some skills beyond just slapping up a prefab shed kit.
Great experience all the way around, I'm sure I could have spent a little less all in but I don't think I would have ended up with such a high quality substantial result.
