Terribly. Poor job done. Waiting on corrections. They claim they need to send a "plaster expert" who travels a lot and is not in town now. BS. The detail: used Classic 13 years ago and they did a good job so chose them again. Considerable delays with last minute advice that they are coming tomorrow. Plaster job done poorly with over spraying and spotting on new brick on the spa. Yellowish stain thru out the pool. Uneven surface, very visible with pool lights on. Have been in contact weekly but no response. They first said they'd solve the problem with an acid wash which they did but didn't work. Now they're claiming they have to bring in a national expert to figure it out. No action in last 4 weeks. They're waiting for me to give up. Small claims court? Lawsuit (cost plus damages plus fees)?

-Multiple delays (due to weather) which I understand, but I wish they would have communicated better about when they were going to show up. -Tile looked good after bead blast, however when they sprayed plaster, they got over spray on tile so it looks bad again. I emailed them to ask them to clean up but no response. -You can seem lumpy areas where they changes the depth and they didn't smooth the plaster very well. -Also got over spray on stone coping. -We used for start up. which is supposed to be everyday for 5 days. We learned they don't work weekends or holidays. Fine, but again if they just told us we needed to care for the pool on the weekend, I probably wouldn't have paid extra for the service. -As multiple people have said, once they get your money, they stop responding to your emails and won't fix any of their mistakes. For the above reasons, I would recommend another contractor.

It took them a little longer than expected but it was not bad at all. They told us is could take four days "or longer" and we said it was fine since we had not real pressing need to have it done by a certain date. They did a top quality job, no complaints about that. The biggest problem was the initial sales guy reportedly had some email problems and did not respond well to emails at all and we had problems getting him to respond. Once we insisted on having Eric Miller as our contact, communication was much improved and we had no complaints. All in all a good experience and excellent product.

I had used this firm before and was satisfied. They bid the job at about the same price as others, and I knew they had the proper insurance, so I chose to go with them again. I had a problem with some electrical work that had been done, so I had to delay the project. Classic was accommodating with the change, and when they got started, the job was done well. When it came time to re-fill the pool, they were detailed in their instructions as to how it should be done. I was pleased.

Our initial meeting with David Adams was terrific. He is plain spoken and honest. He did not oversell the job, which we appreciated. We were offered many choices and he gave us suggestions and feedback when requested. The price was very fair for the work done and the product they left us. A scheduler would call each evening to let us know what would happen the next day--when the team would show up, what job they'd do, etc. I could text, call, email, or simply talk to these people--the lines of communication were always open. The work teams the company sent--we had three, plasterers, tile installers, demolition--came when they were supposed to, worked super hard, long hours and always had a supervisor there for most of the day or at least at the end of the day. The supervisor would check with me (the homeowner) and answer any questions I had. The work area was always cleaned up before they left for the evening, and at the very end they cleaned up the area very well and took away all of the remaining trash and debris. We purchased the 10 day start-up service to get the water and chemicals in the pool set and ready to take over. We were extremely pleased with the company/tech they sent us. He was personable and did a fantastic job. We love our newly remodeled pool and deck!!! What a joy these guys were to work with!

Our old drains were the unapproved ones and 1 was unscrewed and off to begin with, so we had known leaves in there and they said they would blow them out. After they finished, the bottom drain was stopped up with so much debris that we couldn't even put pool to function with that mode on and well as skimmers. They did come out to try and blow pool drain, and got some plaster related items as well. They kept saying it was our pipes. They did come out around 3 times afterwards, but bottom drain is still not totally clear. They did a great job on plastering, but not protecting and blowing out drain as they said would happen. I would not hire them again. It was a big hassle and still isn't right. I really should give them all C's,  but I'm being generous....

Maintain total financial leverage with this company by withholding significant payment until ALL work is satisfactorily completed (I didn't).  Also clarify descriptions of the work to be completed.  Their standard contract is not specific enough in case of a dispute.
Part of the contract was to replace wall fittings.  We have a disagreement as to what a fitting is.  Before work began my spa had two fittings with active water redirection (massage action).  I noticed when plastering began the contractor had not replaced the fitting in the spa at the junction of the return line.
I brought this to their attention.  I was told "it would be taken care of".  I attempted to get this resolved by telephone for two weeks.
Then I complained in writing.  The contractor returned and installed two totally inferior non-active non-adjustable normal fittings that do not match the in-wall part of the fitting.  They made them fit with a putty seal.  So now, after renovation I am stuck with a spa with no active features and less enjoyable than before the expensive work.
Crews were courteous, and always cleaned up their work area before leaving for the day.

From the onset, Classic Tile and Plaster was professional and above board.  Julio Rangle was awesome, a great representative .  He spent a great deal of time providing us with a tutorial for the different pool surface types, textures and benefits of each so that we had a clear understanding of the design possibilities and could envision what the environment would look like throughout the day with changes in the sunlight.   Knowing that we wanted a peaceful and tranquil setting, he made some tile recommendations that would offer us the "contrast" we were seeking so that our pool and spa look would be unique.
After providing the initial estimate in October,  we contacted Julio again in November to obtain additional clarity in the different surfaces and wanted to better understand the phase process.  Julio answered all of our questions to our satisfaction and reassured us that the remodel would be painless to us.
Classic Tile and Plaster started the remodel early December and it was painless as promised.  Each crew was fantastic!. Professional, personable and respectful of our property.  The leader of each crew took time out to update me at the end of their day.  I really appreciated that.
The Classic Tile & Plaster team is one to be admired.  Special call out to Gilbert, terrific Project Manager.
Start up company Quality Pool was awesome.  So awesome, they are now maintaining my oasis.

I contracted Classic Tile and Plaster to refurbish our pool with a pebble sheen service.  Overall, they did an excellent job and we were very pleased with the results.  All crews were timely, polite and very professional - from preparation to clean-up.  in addition, the office staff (from sales to scheduling) were very responsive and returned any calls in a timely manner.  An A+ from  service and installation experience.....

From the point of sales rep to the guys in the crew- all the work was professional, pleasant and very-well done! The money we paid was well worth the quality of product and work. We had a very detail-oriented spa/water-faeture project, and it was done to perfection by what I would only call a genuine craftsman/stonemason. Clean up was excellent. The project took a little longer than expected, but that was mostly due to weather. Once the crew was on-site they were on it! I would highly recommend Classic Tile and Plaster and would definitely use them again.

I dealt with Mr. Eric Miller from Classic pools, I have dealt with many contracters in the past and I interviewed at least 20 other pool companies over a two year period until I finally selected  classic pools.  They were professional, walking me through every step, they made sure that everything was done correctly and in a timely manner, and if any challenges arose they were there to remedy them (instead of just making excuses) It was the best service and most refreshing experience I have had with any contractor or trade ever.
I would highly recommend Classic to anyone and I would and will use them again for any future pool needs.
One last thing service after the sale, when most companies have cashed their checks and have forgotten about you, not these guys almost a year after my remodel, they still come to look just to make sure everything is looking right, I was in China at the time, they noticed  that the firepit marble top had cracked. I was not even going to say anything about this, as it could have been from the high heat of the flame for a prolonger period that I ran it for, Didn't matter they went out and replaced it and fixed it.
That is service and that is how companies should treat their customers,  good job Classic Pools.
Also their install staff, were courteous and cleaned their mess great.
 a two thumbs up!!!!

Results are great. They upgraded our plaster and tile plus pool components that made the pool much nicer. But the coordinator, Seth, is not the friendliest and the salesman has trouble with basic math.

When we first contacted the contractor, he responded with a quote and on the phone he seemed friendly and pleasant enough. When we elected to use them as our contractor, we filled out the appropriate paperwork and turned in around April 07. David (the contact point) eventually contacted us around the beginning of May to say the work date would be on the 14th through the 16th. On the day itself no one showed and we received a call that the date would have to move to that Friday. There had been some rain so we understood the delay to a point. My wife had a sleep study scheduled for the Monday of May 19th and we had to have someone available for them to access our property so the original date took that into account. On the Friday of May 16th, no one showed again (during the appointed time of the afternoon). We had a small work crew of sub-contractors come at 10pm that evening unexpected to drain our pool and start the job without so much as a phone call advising of the delay. We allowed them to do what they needed to do so not to further delay the work. One the work got started, the work crews were expeditious and completed the work in a timely manner. I believe the work crews were proficient at their work and did a good quality job. However, the business aspect of payment and timing although stated in the contract was not executed according to agreement. He was to collect the payments in stages. This was not followed up on until the end. David Adams( the contact) wanted full payment when the plaster was laid however several other details of the job was not complete such as the replacement of the pool lamp and the installation of the incorrect pump without a replacement pad. I worked to reconcile these details through phone communication and e-mail. After the job had started, he was very difficult to reach by phone (nearly impossible). I was able to reach him via e-mail where his correspondence was largely incoherent and focused only on his payment rather than rectifying problems that still existed with the job before its full completion. I mentioned that I was not accustomed to paying contractors in full for work not yet fully completed. He said the contract said otherwise. I read the contract in its full detail and found several inconsistencies and general grammar errors that I would be embarrassed by if I had written it. The language was pretty vague on may points. David's attitude was one of not customer satisfaction but rather about only the money. I understand that businesses have cash flow issues and I was ready to pay him. He had sent his underling who spoke marginal English to collect. In my conversation with this gentleman, I had to wrench the details of the payment from him where he proceeded to intercede on David's behalf. I told this contact that I needed to speak to a manager before I gave him full payment for the incomplete job. David got back to me with another incoherent e-mail citing contract terms that I had to honor and so forth whereupon I informed of some the work completion issues I still had outstanding. I agreed to pay 90% if he agreed to fix the problems and the rest when the job was complete. I have in that time some 2 weeks ago paid him 90% by check sent via mail. I offered for him to pick it personally on our last phone contact where he told me that he was not going to drive to "my part of town" at 7:30pm. I offered prompted payment but he did not want to come and get it. I put it in the mail after that phone call. They have yet to cash those checks. Another contact by the name Eric called asking where his payment was whereby we told him to try checking his mail. We have not heard anything since. His pool start up team is still finishing off the curing and start up process. I am very pleased with this sub-contractor who is very knowledgeable and helpful. I will pay the remaining 10% after this last phase is complete. Overall, I can say the workmanship is good quality and the sub-contractors he used were proficient. From the business side, Classic Tile would benefit from real business professionals(sales) who understand how to communicate effectively and professionally. This was not the case with these guys.
Response from Classic Tile & Plaster
"once again, this job went well in the five days it was to take. We were two days late getting there and he knew that. Except for the start up company, we do not use subcontractors and this guy knows this. There should be an Angies list for contractor for people like this!"

Delayed starting time. I have also had trouble communicating with their staff, to the point where their contact can't even write an email or text. They keep asking for payment on things that aren't even done yet. They wanted to charge me $250 to replace a light bulb and gasket that cost less than $50. Installed a brand new pool pump without providing a base. They are not transparent AT ALL.
Response from Classic Tile & Plaster
"I believe all is well now. We were two days behind getting there due to weather, but took only the five days planned to due the work.I have copies of the emails so I am not sure on the communication issue. we had not planned on replacing the concrete pad the pump sits on, but is now installed and all up and running. Was not stated in the contract either way but there now. Yes, lights are $ 425.00. We use a certified electrician, not just our guys for safety issues. Have be paid all monies due to this point and expect the last 10 % when we finish the water balance and start up."

I initially met with Jerry Reynolds and he was very professional and helpful.  During our first meeting he was able to give us an estimate for the work with different options that we could add on or subtract.  Jerry was able to provide us with some different ideas, colors, and general insight for our pool renovation.  We accepted his bid and worked out a timeline for work to begin.  At this point Jerry turned me over to a project coordinator for Classic.  I would like mention that during this time we were installing new concrete and wood decking.  Because of this we were coordinating with another contractor which, along with weather delays, really slowed things down.  The project took longer than expected and I think some of this could have been avoided with better communication on Classic's part as well as the other contractor.  However, the end product looks great and we are very pleased.  I will also note that there were a few minor post construction issues and Classic was very punctual in getting them taken care of and I am very appreciative of that.  The one thing I was not too impressed with was the company that Classic used for the pool start-up.  The pool company that I regularly use for cleaning essentially did a second start-up.  Overall I gave Classic an A because the pool looks great, they came right in on budget, and the people were friendly.  I would recommend them to a friend.
